Psychos In Love was the surprise final entrant in the next-to-last ever Halloween horror festival at the Art Theater in Champaign, IL. Preceding it were Nekromantik, Patrick, and something that started the fest off that I can't remember (funny enough the only entry that was announced). I think I remember it being terrible, but I was really tired and really tanked. So maybe I really liked it instead. It was four in the morning, who knows. EDIT: Well hey guess what I posted about it here back in 2018. The fest was Patrick, The Driller Killer, Nekromantik, Psychos In Love, The Undertaker. I called Psychos "a long Curb episode, only about serial killers".

Zangiev lived in Russia during the Cold War. So... yeah you gonna age fast. Anyway that was incredible. Great story told in the space of five minutes, and a great build-up to the impossibly killer story told by Zangiev/Hashimoto in only eight minutes later. This whole tournament must've been awesome.

This might be blasphemy, but that might just better than "Electric Eye". At least wrestling-wise. "IF YOU WANT IT FOR REAL, THANK ME, AJA KONG!"

The stalling from Takada in that match makes him look like a weiner. Like, just lock up, dude. It's underlined by that push he gives Tenryu, if somebody kicked me directly in the face and I was him I would do the same, but he shoves him like saying "Play fair!"? Meanwhile when Tenryu stalls it just comes off like he's being a dick haha. Tale of two wrestlers. EDIT: I forgot to mention another weird thing! There's a spot in the corner where it looks like both Tenryu and Tiger are trying to blade his forehead while Takada is kicking away, and they can't seem to get it right.

Seen the WAR iteration of this but not the UWFi one... and it's pretty weird. For some reason they're using pinfall rules which is definitely not UWFi. And there is just some strange stuff in it -- both guys stall, Tenryu kicks Takada right in the face and Takada responds by shoving him (?!), Tenryu punches him in the stomach and he goes "OOOOOOTTT" like he had to let out a big burp. And for some reason Tiger Hattori is reffing this? Also beware, there is a big jarring cut in the middle missing from the match between files.

Starting to watch Regal/Larry Z from Slamboree '94 (it's on Dailymotion but cut in between parts 2 and 3) I got the best shot. The camera starts closed in on a crowd shot of a sign reading "WCW RULES WWF SUCKS"... then pans back to reveal in the foreground, WWF Superfan Vladimir looking directly at the camera chanting "USA" for Zybysko ?

I still don't know how they knew the difference between the two when one or the other went on offense. It wasn't like the post-diabetes Headhunters where one was considerably smaller.

Fuck, that main was long. Good on Lee though. First step to the rest of the belts. The only thing that caught my eye while I was dicking around on here and the Gargano match was playing was OF COURSE him doing a Poisoned Rana on the floor. The one thing that makes me want to strangle Ohtani and El Samurai (I think, or was it Liger/Samurai?) for coming up with the goddamned move in the first place, and instantly hate the match and the wrestlers involved. Always happy to see the Fashion Police, and Spud being back. Who are King Cuerno's partners?
