  1. Wow. Only 2 votes for Jacob's Ladder. I'm genuinely surprised. I thought for sure more people around here would like that one. OH and it looks like New Blood voted for both it and Rosetta at 23?
  2. Holy crap. I didn't realize that was Kate Bosworth until the credits came up.
  3. Just found out GOBLIN is playing October 13th(~!) at the Metro. That may have just cut into my Chicago Film Fest activities.
  4. I hope something heavy falls on your pinky toe.

    NFL 2013: WEEK 2

The SportsCenter twitter says Da Sanchize will likely get surgery that'll end his season. He'll need a place to coalesce, Burgundy. And some cockapoopy paper to write his hate mail to Rex Ryan.
  7. Sad to say but A Simple Plan was the first movie to show up that I smacked myself in the forehead for forgetting about it. This shit is getting out of hand.

    NFL 2013: WEEK 2

Hey, enjoy it while it lasts, and if it lasts a long time, even better. It's certainly a fascinating experiment that I'm eager to watch unfold. I think I'm most interested in seeing how quickly, if it all, these O-Line guys deteriorate. That's some big bodies to be moving so fast and lots of up and downs on those knees. It feels like the kind of offense that really requires lots and lots of young bodies to work. How old are the O-Line guys?

    NFL 2013: WEEK 2

I don't think they sustain it for a full season. Besides general fatigue, there's more opportunity for someone to hit and ultimately injure Vick and McCoy. They don't even get a bye week until Week 12. That's a lot of plays between now and then.

    NFL 2013: WEEK 2

That must be brutal to have flashbacks to those days when Jacobs was on the team and the Giants won Superbowls.

    NFL 2013: WEEK 2

Next it'll be broken ribs. And then football will be played in these:
  14. Meyers is on for the first half of the season and then he's off to prep for Late Night. So we get a new Weekend Updater. That should be exciting. I'm wondering if the Michael Patrick O'Brien, who was a writer that becomes a featured this year, is replacing Seth. The rest of the cast feel a little too character actory to be the Weekend Update person. Maybe Kate McKinnon or Taran Killam but they probably want them for the rest of the show.
  15. Sounds like they're bringing in several: http://splitsider.com/2013/08/here-are-your-new-snl-featured-players/
  16. Oh I'm totally talking about the Jose Saramago book. It's the first one I read by the author and it was awesome....I have no idea why you'd change anything from the book though. It's kind of like Rosemary's Baby in that it reads like a film. So that's disappointing. May have to scale back expectations.
  17. That Hama face with the beads is thiiiiiiis close to replacing my Beckham face.
  18. CLOSE BUT NOT QUITE.LIKE THE GIANTS' OFFENSE
  19. It's nothing to do with this crew in general, but I realized I'd rather have an option where I could watch the game with only the noises of the game, instead of commentary. I've been taking a few minutes to mute all tye games I've watched today, and I find myself much more engaged with what all the players are doing. It's better than having someone constantly talking to you.
  20. Moar Rodgers Sackz Pleeze
  21. Oh Tampa Bay...
  22. That needs to be his new gear forever.
  23. FUN FACT: JAY CUTLER DID NOT GET SACKED AT ALL.
  24. GOOD MOVE 58!
  25. BRANDON MARSHALL~! NOBODY IN THE RENFROW HOUSEHOLD HAS PANTS ON NOW!
