  1. I maintain that Perry would be potentially phenomenal in a "Pussy Posse"/Entourage kinda faction. Have it be him, Starks, Garcia, Kassidy and Quen as douchebag wannabe D-listers who's main concern is hooking up at the club after the show. Wrestling's done pseudo-Hollywood/rich prick characters before but I feel like this would be a different twist on that.
  2. We just watched the whole thing and yeah, really dug it even if it wasn't something phenomenal. Honestly, can't lie, we both loved Reservation Dogs so a familiarity with the setting and a LOT of the actors helped - but really, they couldn't give us just one "shit-ass"?
  3. I don't care about his last opponent(s) but I wish we could see him wrestle Danielson just so it goes down in history as having happened. One of those "would you ever have believed this?!" situations.
  4. Sting/Darby/Shingo vs The Bucks/El Phantasmo was at the first Forbidden Door and it was fucking excellent - and I skip most Bucks matches, tbh...
  5. Surely Sting had zero say as to who he'd face in his FINAL MATCH EVER. Fuck's sake...
  6. Toni saying Italian with that hard I... Good show, went to bed before the main event, sounds like a victory to me
  7. We don't have those in the Northeast and the first time I came across one while traveling I was convinced it was a fake brand made for television or the movies, right down to the absolutely generic logo.
  8. Gonna watch it this weekend with ze wife, not expecting much more than a nice lil show while we currently don't have a hell of a lot to watch together.
  9. Kaitlyn Dever officially cast as Abby in the next season of The Last of Us. I've always dug her work since Justified.
  10. I can, their acts are so fucking tired. If only the "ignore" function could do even more...
  11. Didn't get this show for several reasons and overall it doesn't sound like I missed much - but I'm so happy that Mox didn't beat Eddie in the CC finals. Eddie's always worked best as an underdog on the chase but with decisive wins over Claudio, Danielson, and now Moxley, I think Kingston can work just perfectly as a decorated champion who won't back down from a fight and still has to scrap to hold onto success. Over/under for when Andrade starts vague-tweeting about how unhappy he is at WWE again?
  12. The Games I Played Through in This Awful Year of 2023! Alan Wake Remastered - actually still working on playthrough no.2 (Nightmare diff). Really cool concept, writing, story etc but it's very much a game from the past. That said, I just had to buy the sequel for my likely first game of '24. Also, I'd already played Control, which was pretty rad. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - loved the first and Miles Morales' game, this was good but I feel like a little weaker in gameplay than the previous entries. Absolutely LOVED the improved next-gen NYC. Maybe on the PS6 we'll get to actually smell the random food carts, sidewalk garbage, and random whifs of human urine! Sea of Stars - RPGs aren't my usual thing but this was free, lauded, and from the folks who did The Messenger, which I loved. I loved Sea of Stars. GRIS - beautiful and made me cry at the end. Will replay soon to 100%. TMNT: Shredder's Revenge - so friggin good and the only time I've willingly played online with others this year. Carrion - randomly tried the demo, dug it and game was like $8 on sale. Fun little horror Metroidvania. Sifu - probably my game played of the year. I want MORE. Such a well made short little game with incredibly satisfying gameplay. NiER: Automata - my oldest backlog game to get through this year. Really really liked it, super fun gameplay. Stray - nice little palate cleanser between bigger games, loved the art style and story. GoW: Ragnarok - what else is there to say about this awesome fuckin game??? Gonna get into the DLC in due time.
  13. Not something I'd normally say - I hope that one day dude gets a giant fucking contract from WWE for a few years and he can bring his amazing version of wrestling to the masses. Danielson got to be "indy guy gone mega over mainstream fan favorite through sheer good wrestling shit" and I can think of nobody else more deserving than Eddie Fucking Kingston.
  14. Re: Spider-Man 2 and the symbiote skill tree: Just in case you actually wanna know but don't want to Google it and have other things spoiled.
  15. Being a kid and hitting that rising knee strike was one of the most satisfying and rewarding feelings.
  16. Super-dope NJPW Danielson shirt - https://shop.njpw1972.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/brian-danielson-njpw-t-shirt
  17. Brody/Garcia was everything I hoped for and more. I figured early on that Danny was winning since Brody was leaning hard into the shit talk and disrespect, and also they're seemingly good friends behind the scenes so it felt like King was doing something extra special for a buddy. I love it. Kingston/Andrade also ruled and ended exactly as I'd hoped. Rest of the show was perfectly good pro wrestling. AEW rules the motherfuckin WORLD.
  18. Ali also has a match booked against Speedball Mike Bailey in LA coming up in Feb, and there were a few other dates and matches announced that sounded really fun but fuck scrolling through Wreddit to find it all...
  19. Quickly learn the words to "Be Harder" by God's Hate so when Brody makes his entrance, you can sing along and everybody will think you're a hard motherfucker. Otherwise have fun!
  20. That was my first exposure to Black Taurus. He fuckin rules.
  21. Ryan's in the company so I'm assuming you mean the former Dolph, Nick. Considering he's buddies with a lot of the folks there, I'd honestly be surprised if he doesn't end up signing. Sorry?
  22. As of now, there isn't a single game announced as coming out next year that I plan on buying. This feels kind of incredible, like my backlog has a real chance in '24. *cue clip from Shawshank about hope*
  23. I just wanna get Kingston/Danielson to finish their bracket, with Eddie winning decisively and disrespecting Dragon appropriately at the end of the match. Then King can either lose to Mox and be completely crushed only to rise again, or to the hungry, "just needs something to get to that next level everybody says he could achieve" Swerve.
  24. The way Lethal and Briscoe did their version of a chop exchange should be the fucking NORM. They made it look more like a struggle and more of the purpose of actually harming your opponent. So damn good.
