  1. Looking forward to it! The NXT special episodes usually deliver. I think Lee vs. Trick could be a show-stealer.
  2. Since there was some talk earlier about mid-year stuff, here's what I've got on my list so far for best matches. Keep in mind, this is all based on what I've watched. These are listed in no particular order ... WWE: Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes (Hell in a Cell) Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair (WrestleMania Night 1) Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes (WrestleMania Night 1) Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Asuka (Hell in a Cell) Bron Breakker vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dolph Ziggler (NXT Roadblock 3/8) Impact: Josh Alexander vs. Tomohiro Ishii (Under Siege) Jake Something vs. Trey Miguel (Sacrifice) Alex Shelley vs. Jay White (Sacrifice) Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Trey Miguel (Against All Odds) Trey Miguel vs. Steve Maclin (Hard to Kill) AEW/ROH: The Briscoes vs. FTR (ROH Supercard of Honor) CM Punk vs. MJF (Revolution) Hangman Page vs. Adam Cole (Revolution) Blackpool Combat Club vs. Jericho Appreciation Society - Anarchy in the Arena (Double or Nothing) Will Ospreay vs. Dax Harwood (Dynamite: Road Rager 6/15)
  3. Despite Negro Casas and Volador being pulled from the show because of "lucha politics" (as was mentioned in a previous post), the JCW show for next Sunday on the GCW YouTube channel still looks great! * Konosuke Takeshita vs. Cole Radrick * Dragon Lee & Dralistico vs. Gringo Loco & ASF * Bussy (Allie Katch & Effy) vs. Delirious & Edith Surreal * Billie Starkz vs. Nick Wayne * Tony Deppen vs. Alec Price * Masha Slamovich vs. Lindsay Snow vs. Janai Kai * Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Axton Rai * Plus ... a Bunkhouse Stampede!!
  4. Went back and watched Against All Odds from last Friday. Couldn't really enjoy it the first time through as I was having a horrible allergy flare-up during the show. Overall, I thought it was a good show. Solid wrestling, fun matches and it kept me entertained throughout. I'd recommend checking out MCMG vs. Chris Bey & Ace Austin and also Speedball vs. Trey Miguel. Callihan and Moose in the House of Fun match was a fun (no pun intended) chaotic brawl. I though the main event of Alexander vs. Doering was a bit boring.
  5. Becky is my pick to win the Women’s MITB. If I had to choose an alternate pick, then Asuka. Drew Mac winning the men’s match makes sense to me. He can win and then use it to challenge Roman at the Castle Clash UK PPV or whatever it’s called. Alternate picks are Riddle or Rollins.
  6. Wait… hold up. There’s All Japan on archive.org ???
  7. Well Oiled Machines vs. The SSB (SMASH Wrestling Super Showdown VI) Really fun twist on a TLC match. Instead of the chairs part, they changed it to a tables, ladders and boxes match. What's in the boxes? Could be anything. There's some wackiness, some downright crazy bumps and just general fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this match.
  8. I started nodding off while watching the Blood & Guts match last night. Not because the match was boring, just because I'd had an insanely long and busy day. I was going to watch it today since I had the day off work for a dentist appointment but ended up doing a bunch of stuff and by the time I finally sat down to relax, I didn't feel like putting on an hour long match. However, I saw the majority of it and really liked it. The thing with Claudio stealing Eddie's thunder at the end was a nice touch and helps to probably break off Eddie from the Jericho thing into something with Claudio. I think the B&G match will for sure be better on a second watch though, especially when I'm more coherent. I'll most likely use it as my lead-in to the Impact special tomorrow night.
  9. I'm SUPER excited that ROH is back on PPV! That poster/graphic looks awesome. I just hope that it's on Honor Club as well. I have a feeling it won't be though. Also, I hope that Ian and Caprice remain as the commentary team. They are so good together! As far as a possible card, I was thinking about this the other day and here's what I came up with as far as a potential card (which is pretty much what everyone else has commented on): * ROH World Title: Jonathan Gresham vs. Brian Cage * ROH TV Title: Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal * ROH Women's Title: Mercedes Martinez vs. Serena Deeb * ROH Pure Title: Wheeler Yuta vs. Daniel Garcia For the tag titles, I do like the idea of FTR vs. Andrade & Rush. However, I'm probably reading too much into this but isn't it convenient how the Briscoes were written out of Against All Odds just as the next ROH PPV was announced? Its a long shot but possibly FTR vs. Briscoes II?
  10. I've been offline most of the past few days and didn't watch Forbidden Door. Heard it was good though. Definitely looking forward to Blood and Guts tomorrow night and Impact "Against All Odds" and Money in the Bank this weekend! How's everyone been?
  11. The updated card for WSE is on the Nottingham Arena website and looks nothing like the original card. New card is: * Alistair Overeem vs. Moose * Lina Fanene (Nia Jax) vs. TBD * Legion of Pain vs. BT Gunn & Kez Evans * Steph deLander (Persia Pierotta) & Anastasia vs. She Wolves * Samuray del Sol vs. Lince Dorado * Dean Muhtadi (Mojo Rawley) vs. Damo Mackle * Pre-show: Erick Young (probably not the Impact one) vs. Zac Zodiac * Pre-show: Levis Valenzuela (No Way Jose) vs. Jody Fleisch
  12. I'll be honest. I have like little to no interest in Forbidden Door. All the stars that I would've wanted to pay to see on the PPV have already been featured on Dynamite and/or Rampage. The card looks really bizarre and it's kinda like they threw darts to see what would stick, especially for those multi-man tag matches. That's not to say it's not going to be a great show, it probably will be, but I'm more interested in Blood & Guts and getting back to some sense of normalcy post-PPV. I think the main reason this show feels very lackluster to me is that they're working off the assumption that everyone knows who these New Japan people are. I only know people like Ospreay, Ishii, Suzuki, Okada and Tanahashi because I've either heard their names before or have seen them in places stateside like ROH, AEW, Impact, etc. They (being AEW) could've done a better job at introducing the wrestlers who haven't been shown on their TV before with video packages, highlights, etc to hype them up and get the casual fan more excited. As far as who the mystery person will be facing Zack Sabre Jr, the most likely bet is Claudio/Cesaro. Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Chris Hero pop up too. Gresham would be an interesting choice too, especially if they're working towards an ROH relaunch and the ROH champ beating one of the top technical wrestlers in the New Japan (as ZSJ is touted to be) would be a very interesting thing to help catapult towards that and the rumored next ROH PPV (which could be sometime in July I've heard).
  13. I watched episode one last night. Holy crap this is gonna be wild show! I’ll watch episode two tomorrow night. Also watched the first episode of Moon Knight (yeah, I know I’m behind) and loved it!
  14. I STILL need to finish Deadwood! I watched most season 1 years ago but never finished it. Probably gonna need to start it over now. Gonna watch The Old Man tonight after I give Moon Knight a try.
  15. Looking at the Reds this year and I have absolutely zero clue who their representative(s) will be for the All-Star Game. The default pick would be Joey Votto based on name value. Tyler Stephenson seemed to be the leading candidate for the ASG but now that’s he’s injured … no clue. Maybe Brandon Drury, Kyle Farmer or Tyler Mahle?
  16. Sad to hear that Tim White has passed. When I first started watching WWF, he was one of the referees I always remembered along with Earl Hebner, Jack Doan, Mike Chioda and Jim Korderas.
  17. I saw the first period and Colorado was just running circles around Tampa. Fell asleep on the couch during the first intermission. Checked the final score this morning and I was like “holy crap!”
  18. Saw the score this morning when I woke up and wow ... 7-0 is an absolute thrashing!
  19. The card for TripleMania: Tijuana tonight looks decent. That five-person match should be pretty insane! * Dralistico & Dragon Lee vs. Matt Hardy & TBA * AAA Cruiserweight Title: Laredo Kid vs. Bandido vs. Rey Fenix vs. Black Taurus vs. El Hijo del Vikingo * Elimination Cage Match: Sexy Star vs. Lady Shani vs. Chik Tormenta vs. Maravilla vs. La Hiedra vs. Flammer vs. Reyna Dorada vs. TBA * Mask vs. Mask Match with the final two of the elimination cage match * Ruleta de la Muerta Semi-Finals: Psycho Clown vs. Villano IV * Ruleta de la Muerta Semi-Finals: Pentagon Jr vs. Blue Demon Jr.
  20. Absolutely ZERO interest in another Lesnar vs Reigns match. They’ve been done to death over the past few years. I get that Orton and Cody are injured but wouldn’t this be a great time to … oh, I don’t know … maybe elevate someone else? That being said, Roman vs Riddle was a really, really good match! I did think there was a slight chance of Riddle winning tonight and I totally popped on the RKO near fall!
  21. While I’m not watching the show, it does look like a pretty good lineup. The card looks a lot better than Rebellion! My thing with Impact PPVs though is that I tend to wait and watch them on Impact Plus when they pop up a month or so later. I can’t justify paying $40 for a PPV when I’m already paying yearly for Impact Plus and it’ll show up there not long after.
  22. I have no idea what “breach of fiduciary duties” means but sounds like things are getting worse for WWE: https://www.postwrestling.com/2022/06/16/scottscott-attorneys-at-law-investigating-wwes-directors-and-officers-for-breach-of-fiduciary-duties/
