  1. This may be a dumb question, but do New Japan matches have agents like WWE does? It feels a lot of the issues with overkill on moves could be solved with someone looking things over and keeping them in perspective.
  2. Those underground shows sound extremely interesting (and something I think could get over in the states). Any more info on them?
  3. I tried the English commentary last night and it came across as second-rate - if I didn't know better, I'd say nobody was producing them. I know I've heard good things about Rocky Romero on commentary but he was the shits last night. I switched back to Japanese commentary and never looked back.
  4. Is there a lineup for tonight's show including the undercard? I know they mentioned a jr. tag title defense, plus War Machine v. Cody/Page for the heavyweight tag titles.
  5. After watching last night's show, I'll just say this - I fucking love pro wrestling.
  6. On a side note about Luger, I always thought he was one of those guys that wrestled up or down to the level of his opponent. Put him in there with someone that can work (and yes, carry a bit) and Luger can hold up his end of the bargain and they can have a good match. But Luger was not the kind of worker to go the other way - if he was in there with someone green or just not good, hooboy.
  7. By Karen saying they had fun with it, I assume they realized how ridiculous it was, probably had some of the other boys around, and overplayed their reactions because fuck it, it's funny. You have no idea how far the boys will go to entertain themselves in any way possible.
  8. Most of those slaps looked to be to the neck area, not the head - plus they were so coated with sweat that it just flew off and made the slaps look even better. For the most part - and I emphasize MOST - wrestling slaps aren't bad as long as they don't catch the ear.
  9. I just started on Just Cause 3, and even though the controls are clunky (and the map even worse) it's still a fun blast. I also got Death Road to Canada on Steam, and unfortunately, it doesn't seem to run right on Steam Link. A pity because it's fun on the laptop. Hopefully it'll come to the PS4 soon. I'm getting games out of the way before Yakuza Kiwami makes it to the states at the end of the month, because at that point, kiss my free game time goodbye.
  10. This is the first time I've actually realized that was a dummy Sasuke was landing on. I was thinking, that bump had to fucking suck.
  11. I said this on Twitter, but the Storm and Cyrus podcast is the one that I listen to where I feel like I actually learn something new about the business itself with every episode. I've especially enjoyed their analysis of the G1 Climax so far. I've always been a big fan of Don Callis (hell, my Elite character was more him than Paul E) and found his insights on the business entertaining. Plus, as someone that's hung around cocky Canadians more times than not, I appreciate his constant putting himself over.
  12. I wonder if it was the late Buddy Wayne's wife, who was ridiculously hot compared to who she was married to (I love Buddy, but even he would admit he was insanely overchicked.) Moondog Moretti's daughter, if I recall correctly.
  13. The ranking system is easy - feud with the guy above you in the rankings until you get to #3, then feud with the champion. Winning the World title is even easier if you're late in the year - stay out of a feud in the month of January and win the Royal Rumble.
  14. Finally, the link between Big Board and Big Tweet is revealed.
  15. I hate to compare Roman to Luger, but I'm comparing Roman to Luger - he works to the level of his opponent. When he's in there with someone he can work against, he has really fun and even great matches, but when he isn't....
  16. With Tanahashi and Naito tied for first going into their match, what happens on a draw?
  17. This is the dumbest shit I've heard. Do these people think WWE thinks in these terms? Do they think they're booing the "booking" and not Bayley herself?
  18. Sasha slamming the 800-pound Nia in front of all her Banksamaniacs will be amazing, brother.
  19. This is so depressingly accurate I need to go lay down and stare at the ceiling for a while.
  20. YOSHI-HASHI looks like someone that needed a gimmick five minutes before his debut and just grabbed whatever shit he could find backstage. Not that *I've* ever done that or anything.
  21. The reaction to Juice's win over Omega was amazing to see - it was so unexpected for Juice to win that it almost felt like nobody knew what had actually happened and was totally confused... until the official announcement, and the place LOST IT. I don't mean to be another one of the guys constantly comparing New Japan to WWE and saying New Japan is better, but like I said on Twitter, it's insane to see WWE completely blowing surefire stars left and right, only for New Japan to make two guys in one night, and not hurt their opponents whatsoever in doing so. Juice's reaction of disbelief and utter joy felt more real than anything WWE has tried this year. I think I might've finally converted to the other side, guys. It's pretty awesome over here.
  22. Can EVIL win B Block if Okada loses again?
  23. That was a very succinct summary. I forgot about the infidelity and such. Looking like a smug prick is half of why I kinda like him.
