  1. I just want Hank Pym, preferably as both Yellowjacket and Giant man.
  2. Is there a whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com type site for this one in the game? That would be TREMENDOUSLY useful with the smartphone, particularly if it could use your location like Yelp. (If there isn't one, THERE SHOULD FUCKING WELL BE ONE.) As for radio, like I said before, Mirror Park and Soulwax have been my go to stations, though I've been enjoying Nonstop Pop and West Coast Classics as well. Channel-X I like in small doses, but after two or three songs I gotta switch to something more musical.
  3. DFirst dozen eps of Ranma 1/2 are up on Hulu. Wish there were more and that they had the dub (I am certain I would watch one dubbed ep and be done with it, but nostalgia makes me want it.)
  4. Also: I am in no way rooting for a government shutdown. I REALLY don't want to lose money to gridlock right now. But if it DOES happen, I'm glad it'll be on GTAO day.
  5. Finally had a "switching to Trevor" moment worth sharing: Trevor, leaned up against the deep end wall of an empty hotel swimming pool, with an empty beer in his hand and a few others lying nearby. He sighs, says "Some moments you just don't want to end" and gets up.
  6. Today marked the final issue of "Remain In Light" in TF: MTMtE. Not how I expected that story to end. Now I need to catch up on six issues of the other TF book before the crossover starts in November.
  7. I would've thought that would be the other way 'round; they spend extra money on the pilot to get a green light, but then have to stretch the budget over the next 20 or so episodes.
  8. That's what everyone keeps saying. But since they're adding issues of that to MCU on weeks that have very low new-issue counts, I'll keep reading it. Now where the fuck is the Silvestri Guardians and the rest of the Simonson X-Factor? There are inexcusable holes in this service, and my $60 a year means they have to listen to me and give me things I might otherwise pay $2 per issue for on Comixology! *whinetwitchgrowl*
  9. I really felt like the "climbing a wall" and super leap effects looked really, really bad. I understand the desire not to mine monumentally obscure Marvel miniseries for characters and events, but considering it costs them nothing it would've been neat to see
  10. I think it's SUPPOSED to be overkill. The people working on Centipede didn't have any clue how to duplicate any of these once in a lifetime origin events, so they tried to make a Supreme pizza and it worked for a month or so before it quit working and the test subject lost his shit.
  11. Three issues in, Age of Ultron remains mystifyingly, astonishingly bad. I pity anyone who spent four quid an issue on this.
  12. I am torn between a random desire to have a female character for GTAO and a belief that the world will be choking on underdressed female toons created by dudes who want to take them to the Unicorn and crank the weasel.
  13. Sadly, I don't use my 360 nearly enough; my PS3 is my 'default' console simply because I had it for four years longer. But I'll be on the lookout (bear in mind that my 360 name is zqadams, I was only able to get Cliff_Hanger on PSN)
  14. (Copied from my Facebook) Re-reading TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE for the first time since I was 17, I find myself struck by a few things. 1) the sexual politics and attitudes are often even creepier than I remembered. 2) the end of Bill and Dora's tale is still pretty heartbreaking 3) The Notebook of Lazarus Long had a huge impact on the way I see the world, and I never realized it before now. I have often credited Larry Elder as sowing the seeds of my swing away from standard angry authoritarian-conservative politics and toward a more individualist libertarian point of view, but I think in retrospect that Heinlein planted a lot of the ideas in my head a decade before I first heard Elder on the radio.
  15. Wishing I had had the sense to avoid the app. The customize-while-away bit is keen and all, but Chop is obligaming. At its worst.
  16. I am actually really happy with the radio, but then I tend to use these games to seek out stuff I wouldn't usually listen to. I don't expect to go out and buy anything off Soulwax or Mirror Park, but I've been really enjoying them both as cruise music.
  17. I barely played this weekend, and spent all my time dicking around. Yesterday I spent a good 90 minutes just driving through the hills and Blaine County, playing tennis and watching TV and movies. I'm now just getting ready for the heist; I selected "smart" over "loud" and got the top choices for everything but guns (which will cut into my take, but I'm bad enough at this game I'm okay with that at this stage.) MOVIE REVIEW: THE LONELIEST ROBOT IN GREAT BRITAIN (I believe this only shows in the mornings)--An animated "family" film about a factory robot who makes sarcasm for a living. He feels shat upon for the crime of being middle-class, because the other factory workers see him as bourgeois while humans see him as beneath them. His girlfriend is a pleasure droid who cheats on him with humans because it's what she was built to do, and his best friend is a bartender. The whole thing was kind of bland to me until the gloriously fucked up ending; I don't know if I would have enjoyed it more if I were from the UK? Anyway, in the last third it goes completely off the rails and that's a good thing. Worth the $20 to see it once, I'd say.
  18. Just blew $350 on the gun range raising Franklin's shooting skill. That money goes fast...the minigun rounds were worth it though.
  19. Complete run of Hypernaturals is on sale at Comixology. It's not the best thing D&A ever did, but I'd still recommend it to fans of their Marvel cosmic and especially fans of their LSH.
  20. I haven't been back to the strip club, but I think only four of the girls will leave with you. Played another two sets (best two-out-of-three) of tennis, this time with some douche named Donato at the Vinewood Apartments court. Switching to Easy made it a cakewalk; I wiped him out and only lost one game. Poor bastard lost match point on a Double Fault, HA!
  21. If Vertigo isn't still the dangerously bipolar monarch of a tiny Balkan nation, that's a problem for me.
  22. My plan is still "when I happen to be in the store and they happen to have them and happen to be running 18 month financing at Best Buy" regardless of how much I want Infamous and want to get the PS4 version of Watch Dogs.
  23. I'm really bad at tennis. When Amanda serves I can just about always return it once, but I almost never manage to connect when she returns my serve. I did three sets last night trying to up Michael's absurdly low strength and stamina, and won two games.
  24. From what I'd heard, I really don't like the revised origins for Deadshot and Vertigo.
