  1. The natural endgame still feels like Ted going back home. I'm not sure how you stretch that out for another season, unless you continue without him. There have been some criticisms about part of this season from others, and the divorce stuff is tough, but I've largely liked it.
  2. I can't be the only one that thought Rupert was either about to A) Bag Nate's gf, or 2) Reveal that he was her father. Also they have managed to come back around to babyfacing Nate, which I didn't think possible. Beard letting a press conference implode so he can argue guitarists with reporters was hilarious.
  3. I've shared a few thoughts on Twitter, but I can't overstate how much DEAN's writing and this website changed how I looked at wrestling as an artform. I found this site in my mid 20's, and still had that early 2000's message board mentality towards wrestling. It's funny that I barely watch wrestling anymore, but I hold so reverence for this board, that I still come and find places to post. I didn't interact with him as much as some others did, but every time I did, it was funny and pleasant. RIP DEAN~! and thank you for saving wrestling for me.
  4. If you were a kid with divorced parents, Ted Lasso this season is a little rough.
  5. Thought The Flash was very satisfying this week. One of my biggest gripes with Oliver's death is that Diggle didn't get to be there, so I'm glad they gave is closure on that.
  6. I didn't think I'd find anything funnier than Roy Kent learning to ride a bike, but the dick strings may have topped. Roy's sadism coming out to cope with his breakup is a sneaky fun subplot.
  7. Cleveland getting outworked on the glass with both Mobley and Allen out there is just wild stuff.
  8. Mavs fined 750k for their awful crimes. I'm glad we got to the bottom of that.
  9. The prequels didn't have gaping plot holes or gaps in logic like the sequels. They needed a coat of paint, not a full on remodel. I was just content to pretend like the sequels never happened.
  10. I'm really enjoying Mando this season, and I really liked season 2 of Bad Batch. But I can't be the only one that is a little annoyed that the shows that started out as a fun little slice of Star Wars lore is now being tasked with fixing the sequel trilogy. It seems like that is Filoni's lot in life.
  11. I'm a sucker for it every time, but I love that Ted Lasso had one of those classic Ted Lasso speeches at the end of the episode this week.
  12. Oh I am hoping for absolute chaos myself. I'm always down for whatever results the league wants the least.
  13. ESPN has been trying to manifest Luka leaving for two years. They can't hide the fact that they want him in one of the sexier markets. Kidd's shelf life is always one season, no matter where he goes, it seems. So it seems like the whole point of the "investigation" is Silver being big mad that they "made a mockery" of the play-in tournament, to which I say boo-hoo. I've always hated the play in, and shitty teams shouldn't be in playoff contention.
  14. I need Jason Kidd to be next.
  15. This already setting a bad trend for the minimum games to win awards rule.
  16. Jason Kidd is a bozo for saying the quiet part out loud, but you can't get mad at Dallas for doing literally the same thing as Portland and Utah.
  17. I'm not saying this to target anyone, because I like everyone here, but one of the most frustrating things about this Mavs season is having to listen to all the takes from people who don't closely follow the team and their actual problems. You get fucking conmen like Stephen A, Perkins or whoever, and that stuff gets ran with. Folks are looking at surface level stuff and immediately wanting to put the blame solely on Kyrie or Luka, and neither of them should be taking the blame. I've gone on record multiple times about my feelings on Kyrie, and I was against the trade. However, I have to be fair to him, because he was a model teammate and roster member during his entire tenure. People are saying his "tanked another team", when his only crime was being an incompatible player with this team. That is the team's fault, not his. Luka is Luka and has been dissected to death. At this point you know what he is and what you need to put around him, and again that is a failure by the team. The team's issues were deeper than that. Namely it's coaching. Jason Kidd is always and forever a rotten coach, and I miss Carlisle more everyday. I wouldn't trust that man to build my rotation on 2K, but less on a professional team. There is no reason for all the hokey pokey with Christian Wood's minutes, or not just letting Jaden Hardy go out and get some buckets. Then there is the defense. It stunk before the trade, and got worse after trading the guy who is probably a top 10-15 man to man defender in the league. Guys like Bullock, Green and Kleber are decent, but not lockdown guys, and two of them are showing their age badly. Then there was the rebounding. I like Dwight Powell, but when the coach feels like he is your best option at starting center, you are already cooked. All that said, tanking the last leg of the season was the right move.
  18. I would say the same, if we hadn't seen Rupert get pissed off about him in private. I do still think Zava jumps(but that is also what everyone expects, so they may swerve us). There may also be a point where Ted has to choose between Jaimie or Zava, and ends up choosing Jaimie, with that creating your requisite "team doubts the coach" subplot that gets resolved in a single episode.
  19. So what are the odds that Trent Crimm is actually feeding intel to West Hampton? Or do you think he'd betray Ted and the team like that? I only ask because the last scene this week had a weird vibe.
  20. Would you say it is watchable? I've got it queued up, but not sure if I want to dive in.
  21. I just watched the first two episodes, and they are incredibly depressing. Bill Lawrence shows usually have a better balance of highs and lows, so I'm hoping this gets there.
  22. The Lakers fans had Photoshop working overtime.
  23. I got to go to the Mavs-Hornets game yesterday. Dallas is fucking rotten, but getting to see Luka have a "Luka game" in person is quite an experience that everyone should have. At this point, I want Dallas to punt the rest of the season, since we get our pick if it's top 10. I don't think Luka is as eager to leave as the ESPN types really want you to think, but I also know he's not Dirk, and he's not going to deal with years of losing. Let Kyrie do what he wants to do in the offseason, and make a real effort to retool the roster. Luka, Green and Kleber should be the only people safe on this team. Also get that terrorist Jason Kidd out of town.
