  1. CDPR announced this past Friday that 2.02 will be released "soon." 2.01 came out a week after the announcement, so it is likely that 2.02 will go live this coming Friday.
  2. It is more of an homage to Rusty Cundieff, William Marshall, and other pioneers of 70's black horror than it is it's own thing, IIRC. It is presented as if it were an episode of some late night horror movie program like Svengoolie. I'd actually like to see an anthology built around Tony Todd's character, Titus Darq. The role of Titus Darq was originally created with Clarence Williams III in mind, but he passed away while the initial draft of the screenplay was being written.
  3. I'd give it a try. You could watch worse things for your 31 Days viewing.
  4. I am dumb. Who better to adapt Lovecraft for the screen?
  5. Scream VI debuts next Saturday on Showtime at 9PM EST and will be in a double feature with Scream V.
  6. Watched Bitch Ass today on SHO on Demand. I'm not even lying. That's the name of the movie. Despite the silly title, the movie is not entirely without merit. It is like an expanded segment of Tales from the Hood and is on track to become a cult classic.
  7. If you are collecting snow globes, I think I posted a location guide in a previous page in the thread.
  8. Red Band trailer for Suitable Flesh Directed by Joe Lynch and starting Heather Graham, Judah Lewis, Bruce Davison, and Barbara Crampton. Based on HP Lovecraft's The Thing on the Doorstep. It is strange how Kenneth Branagh took one of Agatha Christie's weakest effort and made a decent movie out of it and now Joe Lynch has taken HP Lovecraft's shittiest story and apparently made what might turn out to be a brilliant dark comedy.
  9. Goddammit. They built a job with me in mind. I better hurry up and beat Starfield and 2077 so I can give my life to XIV during the Open Beta.
  10. It is still amazing the number of people that haven't figured out that you can laze the pins on some security doors to open them. The shit even says "Cuttable Wall" on the front and shows you which pins to split with your Cutter.
  11. The combat slide is actually pretty awesome if you are attacking with a melee weapon or using a shotgun. My only issue with the skill is that I expected more Zero-G combat situations in this game and there aren't very many. I'd like to see the ability to disable an enemy craft's artificial gravity in starship combat in order to have more Zero-G combat scenarios in a future update.
  12. There is a marathon of 30 Coins S1 today on HBO2 from Noon EST until around 9PM EST. S2 starts on 23 October.
  13. Great. I have a couple of points in Gymnastics and am hella slippery in melee combat, but I have only been in one or two scenarios in the game where I have been able to fully exploit the Zero-G benefits of the skill.
  14. I still want a poster made from the scene in that movie where Fulci (making a cameo in his own movie as a hitman) opens fire with the machine gun during the big ambush. It is one of the most unintentionally hilarious things I've ever seen on film. That and when Luca's friend gets his head blown apart from the assassin's Walther that magically fires explosive bullets. How the "theatrical release" avoided an X rating baffles me. It was hella violent for even back then.
  15. Killers of the Flower Moon was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Thank God it rained last night so I was unable to set any tire fires in the parking lot. I did hurl my car keys when I got into the house. Now I have to patch the hole in the dry wall.
  16. Lovecraftian goodness from Foghorn Productions.
  17. I think the best thing about The Green Knight is how it subverts everything we've learned in school about epic poems and all that stuff about the hero's journey.
  18. Here is the first teaser. I am probably hating one of Rippa's prior posts, but I didn't feel like paging that far back just to find the trailer. I feel like every click turns into monies for the Warren family estate and i would like to limit my financial enabling as much as I can.
  19. Yeah, for me, The Matrix ends with Neo zooming up into the cyber sky and Wake Up by Rage playing during the end credits.
  20. Watching Cobweb while eating dinner. Detailed review forthcoming in the SS thread as a bonus if Rippa approves. Otherwise I'll just post some thoughts here.
  21. I will try to catch this tomorrow after work and then try not to set anything on fire or punch anyone in the face while figuring out what I am going to do about dinner.
  22. I could not make it all the way through No Accident. I nearly broke my television remote in two. I will try to finish when my blood is not boiling. I somehow watched every episode of Savior Complex. There were some tense moments when I thought I might snap, but I kept it together. Both of the extreme sides of this argument annoy me. Yes, it is bad that some white people stroke their egos with these sort of photo ops, but what do you do if you are a white person that actually gives a fuck? Wouldn't you be dissuaded to follow through on your genuine humanitarian spirit because critics will assume you are in it for the optics? The idea that Caucasians are incapable of being altruistic is insulting. It does not help that the popular political response to calling out social entitlement nonsense is to make laws that forbid anyone from making white people feel guilty about anything. When you are accustomed to getting your way, any leveling of the playing field feels like tyranny. As much as I love true crime stories and tales of the supernatural, I cannot watch The Devil on Trial and knowingly give money to the Warren family estate. I am happy to hear Prep School's cover of Korn's Freak on a Leash is making the rounds, though.
  23. I am not sure if "same quality" are the words I would use. "Better optimization" might be more accurate. One of the problems with most of these ports is that they can't handle 60 fps threshold in Performance Mode. I agree. Why let those games be lost in time when you could port them to PC for all to play whenever they wanted to? Andrew and I should split the six figure salary.
  24. I am happy that Sony has finally decided to do some market analysis instead of just throwing money at things, but they are about to pay someone six figures to give them the advice that PC players would give them for free if only Sony would actually pay attention to Twitter and Reddit. Matter of fact, let's save the analyst some time. Here is what PC peeps want from Sony: Day / Date releases. If not, then do not charge full price for the PC port. Port the games that PC players would probably enjoy (Ghost of Tsushima, yes. Sackboy, no)
