And that's just the hardcores in the building. We really think *75%* of the 150,000 or so people who bought this PPV were watching ROH in 2003, or have since bought a 2003 ROH DVD? I don't think watching a YouTube clip gives you the necessary recognition/emotional investment.

So Owens makes a challenge to Steve Austin ... which is clearly to just be on the KO Show (as backed up by a graphic) ... but the announcers sell it like he challenged him for a match. Opening match was a lot of fun.

Urge to hate Punk again ... rising.

Link?

Unpopular opinion, but actually liking Punk's current stuff, reminding me of the time when he was a legit bad person and an overrated wrestler kind of makes me hate him again.

The annual ROH Pure Wrestling tournament!

I've seen the Russian legsweep on AEW Dark shows a few times recently. Great spot in a tag match where one guy was too small to do it, so later his partner came in and they did a double.

Oh my God, will someone please think of Jim Cornette?! How long after he realized TK owns some of his work did the ugly crying start?

You think I won't post the GIF again?

As someone who wants to throw out three boxes of VHS tapes, I'm thrilled that Tony bought ROH. As someone more invested in the continued financial health of AEW, I hope he was able to argue down Sinclair's batshit asking price.

For sure. Even going back to All Japan, I think a lot of guys were watching it and not internalizing the context of moves. Candido even name-dropped Misawa and Kobashi in an ECW promo (not that he was necessarily one of those guys).

The shoulder post spot is stupid because, like, one or two guys in the world do charging shoulder blocks like that. It's like trying to powerbomb Kidman.

Continuing a conversation from last month's thread, I blame PWG for the rise of American, meaningless apron bumps. I don't remember that being a thing in early/mid-ROH, whereas PWG seemed to do one in every match. Despite Psicosis, shoulder-posting is mostly a WWE thing in my head. When Punk did it against MJF, I saw it as a bad habit he picked up.

Is that the big announcement?

And today Kingston retweeted this.
