  1. By principle I hate most moves that start up as a Tombstone Piledriver and end up being anything else but a Tombstone Piledriver. Luchasaurs does a Faceplant thing from a Tombstone position which always annoys me a bit, although it looks a million times better than the ROH finisher you mentioned.
  2. Apart from repetitiveness, the overproduced feel of WWE was one of the main reasons I stopped watching and struggle to even go watch single matches from time to time. It’s not only the ridiculous amounts of cuts and zooms, but the whole presentation is very “sterile” and I feel there’s a big disconnection between what’s happening in the ring and what gets through my TV, I just can’t get into anything they do nowadays because of this. Compare this to let’s say the crap 2 cam production from PWG where you feel like you're part of the crowd and are fully immersed in anything that’s happening. There’s no doubt to which is more enjoyable.
  3. Another Scott Hall memory just got unlocked in my brain. Back in the 90s cable wasn’t really widespread back in Venezuela but one local channel would show “Cable shows” the whole afternoon and evening of every Saturday from like 1990 to 1995, and they actually showed full PPVs for free. This way I got to watch most PPVs and Superstars from that era. I remember watching religiously every Saturday for my wrestling fix until one afternoon in 1994 the WM X Ladder Match popped up on my TV and my 7 year old mind was blown away. They would sometimes repeat shows or matches so after that day I learned how to use our VCR in hopes of catching the replay of this magical match on tape to show my friends because I didn’t know how to put into words what I had witnessed. Around 1997 I used Amazon for the first time and my first ever Amazon purchase was WM X on VHS. Along with 12 and 13 if you’re wondering.
  4. Im not the biggest Scorpio fan, he’s good but doesn’t WOW me too often. However, he looks damn good anytime he has a belt.
  5. I never really thought about it because the Kliq always had the whole politicking stink attached to them, but Hall was definitely very giving to younger and lower card talent. Apart from his own personal demons you never hear negative stories about him. I think he wore that Syxx shirt for so long that it was actually one of his alternate attires in WCW/NWO Revenge.
  6. Hall was never my favourite guy and I never was a big fan of him after he went to WCW, but I can’t deny that back in 1994-1995, Razor looked liked a badass mofo every time he came out, the epitome of cool. Anytime a combo of him, Bret or Shawn would share a ring I remember feeling how it was impossible to get cooler than what I was witnessing in that very moment. I’m still in awe when I go back to his matches because I always forget how fucking huge he looked. The way he ran the ropes so fast also made it seem like he would kill you on impact. I feel he never gets the credit he deserves for making ladder matches famous, the focus always seems to go to Shawn but the guy was there every step of the way. That pose on top of the ladder with the two belts is iconic. He also gave us the single greatest Stunner sell ever which loves forever in my memory and I smile every time I dig it up.
  7. Shows was ok, it had some decent wrestling but nothing that I found particularly too exciting. The highlight of the night was definitely Hobbs spine busting Lee, it made him look like an absolute star that little moment. Looking at you guys replies above I’m glad I’m not the only one that found this to be the peak of the night.
  8. It's crazy that this is his first singles titles in a major promotion, he's pretty much peaked championship wise.
  9. With the definitive wins against Archer, Cole and Darius he has this new vibe of a Dominant champion which he didn't have when facing Kenny and Bryan. I'm liking it, he's the honorable and confident (but not too cocky yet) champ. Jericho and Kenny were arrogant assholes and Mox was his usual savage/force of nature type or character so I'm enjoying the chill dominat champ that Hangman is portraying (again, ala good guy Bret).
  10. I was shocked when I heard Regal was 53, I guess he’s always had a very “old timey” type of look and presentation which made him come off as much older. I mean he was only 29 in that infamous Golderg match, actually younger than Goldberg.
  11. Fun show which felt a bit weird by having two title matches come out of nowhere. Jericho and Kingston was a nice segment which broke down a bit at the end. The JAS name sounds terrible but Jericho usually has a good track record with his storylines so let’s see where it goes, seems he’s been aiming for a “Sports Entertainer” thing lately. IC is finally dead. Dante getting a world title shot is the most random thing I’ve seen them do lately, at least give it a one week build or something. Just felt so strange. Fun short match and nice words by Hangman at the end. I thought Cole was hinting at picking Silver and Reynolds as his partners since they’re friends in BTW. The little segment with Hangman and Dark Order hinted at that too. “I got a bear appointment”. Regal walking out with Danielson is one of the greatest sights ever and he came off so smooth on the mic. Ilove how Bryan stands in back, smiles and claps and Moxley looks like a fucking animal or the Wolverine pacing back and forth always looking ready to be unleashed “He is the wrestler that I should have been, he is the perfect wrestler”. “You became everything. I could never be”. Amazing praise by Regal and you could see Bryan was a bit genuinely taken back by it. Lmao at Jeff kinda stopping mid run to do his dance while his brother is getting murdered. I love that assisted Doomsday Device move that JE won the match with. It’s a bit contrived but sweet looking. They busted it out at the PPV and I thought I’d be a perfect tag team finisher and here we are tonight. Surprised a bit at the title change but make sense since they’ve been selling that Sammy is just burnt out after so many crazy matches lately. Now I wonder if Wardlow destroys him in under a minute for the title or MJF/Spears fuck him over.
  12. Interested to see what the next World Title program is for Hangman, I feel it’s gonna be a huge one coming off Punk-MJF.
  13. Let's say 50-50 to be fair. Punk's ROH run using that music was around 20 years ago which means lots of fans might not have even been born yet. And content from that era it's not easy to find/stream with original music so I can forgive someone for not knowing right away. It was a great treat for anyone that lived it at the time tho.
  14. The difference in production values between early ROH and AEW makes it look like a side by side between Smackdown on PS1 vs WWE 2K22.
  15. He was at the PPV. Regarding weight classes, I'm not a fan because each division can start to feel very repetitive except for exceptions here and there (See NJPW). Plus in AEW your Heavyweight division would be like 5-10 guys and then you'd have like 100 other guys that kinda fall within the same cruiser/middle weight division.
  16. The change in dynamic when Regal got in there was amazing. Here you have these two ultimate wrestling badasses who suddenly feel like kids when the legendary master appears. Loved it.
  17. I didn’t mind the chants, people were having fun and all chants were positive. Beats a quiet tired crowd. Cole is billed from Florida (and an extremely popular heel anyways) so I think that explained the unusual boos for Page at some points during the match.
  18. Holy shit the distance looks much further away than in the official AEW camera shot. I actually thought the table set up was leading to some sort of Jeff Hardy debut because it looked almost exactly like the Royal Rumble 2000 Swanton spot.
  19. Forgot to mention this earlier, it’s a refreshing dynamic for two bad guys to be buddies at all times instead of the classic let’s just betray each other during the match cuz we’re evil. They even fist bumped before racing up the ladder.
  20. I like when JR said Jade looked like a superhero and Excalibur just said: ”OR… a Mortal Kombat character”
