Man fwiw I loved Jericho/AJ. Their series is just nice to me. Every match built on the previous ones in ways the announcers don't even always catch, and it makes me feel like they are just having fun with it. Nothing too complex or anything, but just nice, thought out, generally pleasing matches with a little progression from each one to the next. And they put AJ over huge the next day. I also expected him to win at Mania, but it makes sense to me that they're not gonna put the new guy over at their top event right after he comes in and it's just weird to see people outraged about that, like you're still after all of this time getting angry when WWE doesn't follow your fantasy booking. Like the Ryder win, which turned out just to be a gateway to Maryse returning, Miz getting the belt and Sami/Owens moving up. Not that it wouldn't have been a NUCLEAR pop if Sami had won, but you can't deny Ryder deserved that brief moment of big glory. I don't know.

They make up 5% of the U.S. Population and are comically underrepresented on the roster. The only "Asian" champ WWE champ ever had was Polynesian. To make this statistic more embarrassing is there is an entire Japanese wrestling scene with hundreds of trained wrestlers and yet they can't even get on the WWE roster let alone dream of a championship. It is corporate commercial shilling with some very simplified formulaic wrestling sprinkled in that has to adhere to the sponsors' wishes. NXT is a flashy, watered down, formulaic idea of indy wrestling appropriated by a giant corporation in order to make money, that waits for people to get super dope outside of WWE then buys them, limits them and puts them in wacky backstage promos where you have a former GHC champion doing slapstick interviews after his 4 minute match. I don't get the attention it gets. I try to get into WWE/NXT from time to time but it's so much easier and satisfying to like, watch some Hashimoto matches on Youtube.
