Man fwiw I loved Jericho/AJ. Their series is just nice to me. Every match built on the previous ones in ways the announcers don't even always catch, and it makes me feel like they are just having fun with it. Nothing too complex or anything, but just nice, thought out, generally pleasing matches with a little progression from each one to the next. And they put AJ over huge the next day. I also expected him to win at Mania, but it makes sense to me that they're not gonna put the new guy over at their top event right after he comes in and it's just weird to see people outraged about that, like you're still after all of this time getting angry when WWE doesn't follow your fantasy booking. Like the Ryder win, which turned out just to be a gateway to Maryse returning, Miz getting the belt and Sami/Owens moving up. Not that it wouldn't have been a NUCLEAR pop if Sami had won, but you can't deny Ryder deserved that brief moment of big glory. I don't know.

oh man that hurts to lay eyes upon.. I rented mine to a dutch wrestler who ended up never even playing it and losing it in some box in some storage facility after changing houses - had all the names and outfits changed, too..

Is this how people are coping? There's always these fantasy scenarios when a good worker sells out but how can you remotely entertain anything remotely like this to happen? -

yeah I can't wait to see what these guys can do in 7 minute NXT matches!!!!!! how oddly idealistic.. did you expect the same matches as outside WWE? -

DECEMBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION THREAD
JRV replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Oh, give me a fucking break. Literally 12 people probably pull that "Rock isn't black on a technicality" bullshit and actually believe it. And Mark Henry and Booker T's title reigns were so awesome, I literally couldn't tell you who had the other belt when they were champs (Cena? Orton?.) Both of them took what they had and not only did they fucking run with it, the bookers ran with it too. You act like when they were "given" it (which, wait, what?), that they were then treated like they were Rey Mysterio. Mark Henry murdered everybody and King Booker was far and away the champion I actually remember.Sorry. Done. I dont believe Vince is walking around backstage ranting like Hulk Hogan or Donald Trump. Im just saying that there has never been a black WWE champion and, given the demographics of the US, that feels like an odd thing to have never had. Is it though? African-Americans make up roughly 12% of the U.S. Population. Demographic-wise there's a disproportionate number of African-Americans on the roster. I personally don't understand why this talking point seems to constantly pop up. Why aren't we having conversations instead about the lack of Asian WWE champs? They make up 5% of the U.S. Population and are comically underrepresented on the roster. The only "Asian" champ WWE champ ever had was Polynesian. To make this statistic more embarrassing is there is an entire Japanese wrestling scene with hundreds of trained wrestlers and yet they can't even get on the WWE roster let alone dream of a championship. Obviously the signing of Itami and Asuka may be the sign of a sea change but it's still a joke. yoshi tatsu kung fu naki indeed ching chong potato that's why -

It is corporate commercial shilling with some very simplified formulaic wrestling sprinkled in that has to adhere to the sponsors' wishes. NXT is a flashy, watered down, formulaic idea of indy wrestling appropriated by a giant corporation in order to make money, that waits for people to get super dope outside of WWE then buys them, limits them and puts them in wacky backstage promos where you have a former GHC champion doing slapstick interviews after his 4 minute match. I don't get the attention it gets. I try to get into WWE/NXT from time to time but it's so much easier and satisfying to like, watch some Hashimoto matches on Youtube.

I am apathetic towards TNA but it's just funny that this exact post could have been posted a year ago, 2, 3, 4, 5, all the way to 10 years ago, and probably was it's the little cockroach y'all just love to keep hating
