  1. Well played. I'll have to like that when my likes are back.
  2. Thanks guys. Madrid are eliminated and miss out again.
  3. Dan Slott's solo run on The Amazing Spider-Man started with Big Time. I've read everything from the run through to Danger Zone and Danger Zone was my least favourite book. The Alpha story was decent. The Hobgoblins story was really good and the best thing by far in the collection. I just need to read Dying Wish and I will have finished reading everything from the run on The Amazing Spider-Man. Dying Wish starts in next week's issue of The Astonishing Spider-Man, a monthly UK magazine which reprints Spider-Man stories so I'm hoping to read it that way.
  4. I like that Undisputed WWE Championship/WWE Championship more than I first used to.
  5. Haven't read it since I was a young lad so I'll throw these in:
  6. Just thinking about Umaga/Youmanga and three things come to mind: the awesome Last Man Standing match with John Cena at the 2007 Royal Rumble, the matches with Jeff Hardy and Umaga/Youmanga beating the shit out of people from Jackass on RAW.
  7. Dredd came out a year ago today. I liked the film for the story, the main performances, the music and the costumes particularly the Judges. I saw it on release at the cinema and bought it on DVD.
  8. It's from a piece on wwe.com about championship belts: http://www.wwe.com/classics/from-the-vault-championships
  9. It is. The fight and death are merely a lead in to "Funeral For A Friend" and "Reign of the Supermen" which are both fantastic. Yeah, I'd recommend all three. I read them growing up. Still own 'em.
  10. That was my all-time favorite trainwreck match. HHH audibly calling spots while trying to drag a blown-up Steiner to the finish line by bumping around HBK-style; Steiner doing the same suplex like eight times to increasing boos each time, ultimately collapsing in a crumpled heap after trying a different suplex... The build-up was fun too, as HHH got to live out his fantasy of working a Ric Flair-style program by stealing every gimmick from the Flair playbook (dramatic oversell of an arm wrestling contest, getting stripped out of his suit and left in his underwear, etc) We're in full agreement.
  11. If you can, check out Swindon's goal against MK Dons today in League 1. I was watching it at the pub with my Dad and knew Alex Pritchard was going to score with that free-kick.
  12. Easily the best one. Great angle. The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXV was a classic. The other main thing I take from the show is Ricky Steamboat's superb performance in the Legends vs. Chris Jericho handicap match. This and the only Triple H vs. Randy Orton match I ever liked was their Last Man Standing match at No Mercy 2007, apart from that they don't have good chemistry at all.
  13. I'd like Tokyo to get it, then Madrid. Watched a news report today saying Madrid have lost out twice in recent years. The decision about whether certain sports will make the 2020 Olympic Games is due soon, one sport is Wrestling. Still surprised that got cut.
  14. Since my last post about my Batman Arkham City progress, I’ve: rescued the fourth Riddler hostage according to the achievement, used five different Quickfire gadgets in one fight, unlocked all Batman’s gadgets/upgrades, finished the Serial Killer side mission, collected all the Riddler Trophies for Batman in Park Row and The Bowery so I just have Catwoman trophies to collect there. I also got Bronze Revenge with Batman in the challenge maps. Considering Batman trained Nightwing and Robin, they really should have Batman’s Special Combo Disarm and Destroy move.
  15. Remember how this turned out at Royal Rumble 2003? Bloody hell. King Bookah!!! Kane deserved this for his WWF/E run and so long after winning the WWF Championship from Steve Austin at the 1998 King of the Ring. Yes!
