  1. Kurt Angle's just waiting and begging to go to Suplex City folks. Angle vs Bryan in a 'now don't be silly boys......" match would be fun, but they're probably not going to risk that one.
  2. Just a thought: Regal turns heel in support of the OneTrueVillain Kevin Owens. I know heel GMing is not what we want, but that might be the point.
  3. Redeeming the apparently irredeemable, and posting Haku and Buddy Rose matches - it doesn't get anymore DVDVR than that right? Not somewhere who belongs anywhere near the main-event, but I like Ottman goddammit. And fuck it, he's alive and appears to be pretty happy with his lot in life. For a super-heavyweight in pro wrestling, that's no small thing. He was asked about Hall of Fame; he said he wants to be the one who puts in Tenta - and he was believable. Hope he gets the chance. For extra DVDVR sleaze credit - Hulk Hogan gets 'turned on', Troy McClure style.
  4. Punk's one of those guys who will never be satisfied unless he's moving onwards and upwards. That's not necessarily a bad thing, and you can tell Vince rather liked him for it. But it was always going to be a problem in the 21st century WWE because he'll just keep wanting more and more, and no matter how much they had pushed him it would have all worked out more or less the same. He had crossover appeal, but he was not the new Hogan/Austin/Rock.
  5. Australia were just about looking like they might show some heart, hahahahahahahaha.
  6. @AWSStats - Joe Root is the first batsman to score a century on day 1 of an Ashes Test batting in the 2nd innings of the match. These Aussies are gonna get chased down the street back home.

  8. To be honest, Paige is just wrong on the tea thing. Lots of girls here go to tea with eachother in nice hotels - not every week or anything, and not wearing hats, but it goes on. I bought my Mother an Amazon voucher for afternoon tea and she fucking lapped that shit up. The Hotel Leopold in Sheffield is a bit basic for what the Bellas were going for mind - a £12.50 afternoon tea is hardly fancy. Lana still playing Russian was amusing.
  9. I'd complain about another Rusev loss, but Smackdown is practically non-canon at this point. How does this show do for ratings thesedays? I stopped watching this a while ago. I went from watching all the shows on fast forward to just watching Raw, NXT (and, for my shame, Total Divas) but actually watching them, and even when Cesaro has great matches on SD I don't really feel to breakup the pattern.
  10. He's a pretty good talker too. He occasionally stumbles, but he puts out enough gold to neutralise that. He knows how to talk smack as a babyface and that's a talent. The PTPs and The New Day could feud forever as far as I'm concerned, but I definitely hope that the Usos turn heel when they return because Titus and Darren are *the team* as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Genuine question; really? I'm no MMA expert but a decent shot in the right spot always has a chance of causing significant disruption which would lead to a knockout (even if further punches are required), surely?
  12. When all is said and done, if that is true Correia still basically did the right thing. Getting thumped & chumped like that is no fun, but her best chance, as minimal as it turned out to be, was taking Rousey off her primary grappling game. Ronda has herself admitted she did not fight the perfect fight.
  13. Given Aries turned heel soon after winning the belt, it would have been much better if he had never really turned official babyface and beaten Storm for the belt with interference from Roode. The Aces & Eights storyline would have been a shit load better with James Storm as the lead babyface.
  14. Man, I remember when James Storm was *the guy* in TNA. I still think they made a big mistake having him lose in that Lockdown match against Roode.
  15. Do you have any idea how hard I'm fighting the innuendo here? They call it an old-fashioned for a reason.
  16. I'm as amused as you are by the fact Russo is involved in IPW:UK, but I'm assuming that the fellow chatting breeze was Daniel Edler. I don't agree with the booking philosophy being espoused, but IPW:UK have been around over 10 years and has been an important part of the British Wrestling scene for most of that time. He should buy some better clothes though, or get Bull-fit or something, because a promoter wandering around rival shows in cheap sweats with his belly hanging out is appalling - which I witnessed after the ICW Camden show.
  17. The 'it's going to be ugly' means I think we are going to see some kind of Bearded Lady. Actually I'm probably overthinking it; it's just going to be Marcus Louis.
  18. Even if it was only a 20 second squash, kinda cool to see Jesse Sorensen on NXT. Martin Stone (Danny Burch) too, even if Graves called him a poor schlub.
  19. Nattie's impression of Tyson: "Where's Ceasro? I wanna make out with him." was pretty funny.
  20. Random sponsor comment: why does Disaronno try and get people to put sour mix in Amaretto?
  21. The Guardian website has a piece on racism in wrestling. It's pretty light...... http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jul/27/racism-wrestling-problem-hulk-hogan-n-word Kinda.......
