  1. All they are doing is letting players work out individually in team facilities. No group workouts or organized practices. The league said that they'd make other arrangements for players who live in areas where team facility can't be opened.
  2. Anyone watch Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 yet? I kinda want to hold off in the hope that they'll release it on DVD or blu-ray (as they've done with Castlevania), but who knows when or if that might happen. I'm a big fan of Kamiyama's so I'll probably break down and watch it sooner instead of later.
  3. Glitches in WWE games never fail to amuse me. Messing around this morning, and i had a ref cross the ring and argue with an outside wrestler who had walked down to ringside and climbed up on the apron. Due to a glitch, the ref and wrestler got stuck in a loop and spent approx. 7 minutes arguing. On the other side of the ring, my opponent cradled me in a small package. Since there was no ref to count the pin, we spent the seven minutes reversing the small package, but never managing to break it up. When the ref finally got the outside wrestler out of the ring, he immediately dropped to his knees and counted the pin. Keep in mind, the referee has been on the other side of the ring facing away from me (towards the crowd) for the past seven minutes and never turned my way before he counted. He stared into the crowd the whole time and could not possibly have seen the small package much less known if someone's shoulders were down. WWE refs really are blind. It's not a problem, apparently.
  4. Supergirl was shooting the season finale when production was shut down. Apparently, they re-edited the last finished episode (21?) to serve as the season finale.
  5. Finishing up Kill la Kill. Great fun. Probably the most enjoyable anime I've seen in a good while. I think I liked the front half a little more, when it was more over the top and sillier. The babyface turns, Makoi's short-lived heel turn, and the introduction of the real big bad were all fine, but made the show feel a little more conventional. With no live sports and first-run scripted pickings getting slim, I finally have time to make a dent in my really large anime backlog.
  6. Has Randy Orton been seen since WrestleMania? I haven't heard his name mentioned lately. Quarantined somewhere?
  7. Google didn;t find any stories, so I'm fuzzy about what's going on? Dream allegedly texted penis pics to a guy or girl who was underage, according to someone on Reddit?
  8. I'm new to this work from home thing, but I should probably move the half-empty bottle of scotch out of camera view while teleconferencing, right? I suppose I could not start drinking at 6 in the morning, but that's probably not going to happen while I'm jailed in my house.
  9. Is WWE 2K21 canceled because of the pandemic or because 2K20 was a glitchy disaster that sold poorly?
  10. God, I hope he's wrong. I'd go sit in the stands at a sold out MLB game tomorrow if there is one. Social distancing is keeping the virus from getting me so I can die a little more inside each day. I think it will probably be next year (at the earliest) before we can hold big events with more than a token crowd.
  11. I guess Dexter Lumis came out to help Dream in the main event? That makes me think Vince fired everyone in NXT except for about 12 people who were already on the show?
  12. Anyone want to recommend some of the better DCU animated movies? Not been terribly interested in the couple I've seen, but I'll probably give some of them a watch in the coming weeks.
  13. Watched a bit of SyFy Network's 81-hour Battlestar Galactica (200-ish reboot, not original). Liked most of what I watched. Probably have to marathon this at some point. Season 4 seemed out there to me, but it's unfair to say that having only seen bits and pieces of the first three seasons. That said, for fans of the show, the season four midseason finale (followed by a six-month break) had to be a punch to the gut:
  14. Until just now, I thought Benoist was married to the actor who played Superman on the show. Yeah, that is odd. The actors seemed to have no chemistry onscreen.
  15. Captain Phillips is an action film? Kung Fu Hustle being at the top of the list earns him a few points from me. Love that film.
  16. Meltzer says that, since the company is paying main roster talent for 90 days, they feel entitled to use talent for 90 days if they want. I won't be surprised if Drake/Spud keeps his job, since the video has gone viral. They seem to have worked themselves into a shoot that they can turn into a work. Also, last night's show was live. Taped shows begin next week. Allegedly. Unless the live shows this week draw low ratings and Vince panics and changes his mind. Or sneezes and changes his mind. Or steps on a crack and changes his mind. Basically, I'll believe in taped shows after it happens. I predict WWE is back to doing every show live by.... May 20th (probably before that).
  17. I had to hire a couple people this week. It wasn't hard. With unemployment jumping to 15% in a matter of weeks and a lot of jobs hanging on by a thread, many people are more willing to work than you'd expect. I expect that trend to continue as this drags in to May and June. What are wrestlers making anyways? Their downside guarantee? No house shows to work and no merch sales, so I figure most of them aren't making the money they're used to. Also, who isn't working. Roman and Kevin Owens, right? Kyle O'Reilly and Carmella are rumored to have immune deficiencies? Who else is conspicuously absent? (FYI: I haven't been watching the shows since they started the empty arena broadcasts.)
  18. Does anyone know anything about DC's animated Harley Quinn series airing on SYFY? I'm watching a bit of the Battlestar Galactica marathon and a commercial came on for Harley Quinn. Fairly certain they said the show is going to re-air on SyFy but I didn't catch the date and time. Edit: Found the answer on Twitter. For anyone interested, SyFy is going to rebroadcast the entire season on Sunday nights in May. Multiple eps. will air each Sunday beginning at 11 pm.
  19. That joke would have been funnier before we all died and went to Hell.
  20. So Vince will humiliate him and then have him drop the belt. It’s not as satisfying as humiliating in his hometown, but it can still work.
  21. Vince gets carnier by the day. Sarah Logan was scheduled for last night's RAW, but pulled at the last minute. She hasn't been rehired, but according to Meltzer: Lol. I'm pro-business and all, so I don't have a problem with Vince laying off employees (fired, furloughed, whatever), but maybe make an effort to not treat them like property? Here's the link to the actual story: https://www.f4wonline.com/wwe-news/sarah-logan-originally-scheduled-wwe-raw-pulled-last-minute-309341
