  1. Everyone is forgetting Shawn Michaels vs. old age (and good taste). WWE ran that match every time HBK came out and danced to his "Sexy Boy" music in the 21st century.
  2. Is this the Kevin Sorbo series from 15-20 years ago. or is there another show with the same title?
  3. Yeah, Sunshine is one of my favorite Mario games. Never really agreed with the backlash. I actually don't like the Galaxy games that much. I generally dislike any Wii controller except the Classic and a lot of games you'd think would support the Classic controller do not. Especially dislike the Mario Galaxy setup, which called for players to use both the Wiimiote and the nunchuk. Ugh. So, yeah, I'm good with Switch remasters that will (presumably) support a more traditional control scheme.
  4. I'm honestly surprised Vince didn't run with "Baron Corbin threw Rey to his death" and write him out that way if he chooses not to resign.
  5. I'm assuming he means Super Mario Sunshine. It's review scores were great, but there's a sizable number of fans (and critics) who think it's rushed, fairly flawed, etc.
  6. I do wish "The Man" had gotten a longer heel run. She seemed like she was going to be a fun heel character, but the crowd turned her back babyface almost immediately.
  7. The best part of the phone allegation is that Vince is claiming that the phone is being "forensically examined" to discover the extent of Luck's personal usage. Lol, This is hilarious too. In the actual filing, the XFL claims that Luck "effectively abandoned his responsibilities" by relocating from the XFL offices in Connecticut, to his home in Indiana, and failing to "devote substantially all of his business time to his XFL duties as required by the contract." Luck's attorneys have already pointed out Luck only began working at home when the Conn. governor's stay at home order made working in the office impossible. I'm going to guess that Vince's idea of devoting "substantially all of your business time" differs greatly from what a reasonable person would expect. Well, Vince has some grounds here. At least on the face of it. The actual "allegation" is that Luck hired Callaway without Vince's approval and then refused Vince's order to fire him. Also Callaway is kind of a screw-up. He got suspended by the NFL for violating the substance abuse policy. Cleveland cut him later in the season because he was facing a second suspension that would have been 10 games instead of 4 (a full season is sixteen games). The final straw was him (Callaway) missing meetings and showing up late for practices. Mostly, this smells like Vince trying to do an end run around a guaranteed contract. Things were apparently fine until he decided there wasn't going to be a second season and stopped responding to Luck's texts and phone calls. He fired Luck (by text) one day before the XFL laid off everyone. Vince spends too much time dealing with sycophants and wrestlers who stupidly agree to awful, one-sided contracts.
  8. Well, he's only getting slightly less reaction in an empty arena than he got during his doa feud with Roman.
  9. Becky was interviewed by People Magazine and told them it'd be a long while before she decided if she was returning to wrestling. So, yeah, Monday night seems very much like a retirement.
  10. I'm a bit surprised they didn't leak that Sami is pregnant and tease a big announcement for SD Not Live. Is Sami hurt again or is he sitting out the pandemic.
  11. This seems like the only way they'll take the belt off him.
  12. He's not even good throwing people off tall objects. All of those people survived with barely a scratch. I can understand why Vince wants to give Corbin a push. I really don't get why Corbin's got so many pushes or how/why the current push has lasted so long despite him not seeming to be over (enough to be a main-event heel).
  13. It's been claimed (on social media) that the 5/23 show will be moved to 5/30, but I haven't seen any official confirmation of that, so it might just be speculation.
  14. So I guess they explained that when Corbin threw Rey and Black off the roof, they fell a few feet and landed on a second roof. How did the announcers call that during the MitB match? Did they explain that at the time, or were viewers supposed to assume that the wrestlers plummeted to their death? (I'm assuming most people didn't actually believe they fell to their death.) Rey had a rough 24 stretch there.
  15. Flipped by once and Shayna was saying something about Becky carrying a parasite. I really don't see the point of her cutting a promo on Seth if it's not going to lead to a match. Flipped by later and the Street Prophets were... playing basketball with the Viking Raiders. That should drive the rating up.
  16. If you're going to give your wife a sweeper for Mother's Day, 1 AM is not really the right time to do it.
  17. After I posted, I realized that Fox announced its Fall schedule today and SDL is still on the main network on Fridays.
  18. Yeah, I regard AoA as kinda unreadable, but it was a huge deal to me at the time and something that I genuinely got excited for. To be fair, I feel like the Claremont era doesn't hold up once Byrne left. I tried to re-read it a while back and it became a slog fairly quickly. I'm not a Claremont fan, though. The only thing I'd go back to is Excalbur. And, even at the time, I didn't enjoy the book when Davis wasn't involved.
  19. Apparently, Farve has already repaid $500,000 and is setting up a schedule to repay the rest (granted, he didn't do any of that until the story hit the news cycle).
  20. The nasal swab test has a 25-35% failure rate (false negatives). There are other types of tests available with more reliable rates. Apparently, UFC isn't using the nasal swab test (or at least not using it exclusively). When is the next show? Thursday?
  21. Anyone actually subscribe to Acorn TV? It appears to be/mostly BBC police dramas and procedurals. They have dozens of shows listed (60-100) and I'm familiar with only a few of them. Comcast is running a one-week free trials of channel as part of it's Watchathon week. Anyone want to recommend anything. I"ll probably end up watching Line of Duty and that may take the week, but I'd like to know what else is worth checking out. I might be interested in subscribing.
  22. It'd probably be best if you stop watching for awhile. You obviously don't support the decision to run shows.
  23. For the same reason labels on gasoline cans advise you not to drink the gasoline? It's not usual for a contract to ask you waive your right to sue for a variety of unlikely and likely circumstances. I imagine the company's attorneys insisted on it.
