  1. Yeesh Juice also took that kick back into the guardrail with such force it was startling. Really raised his game and looked great in there hanging with Omega in his style of crazy match. I am sure he won't mind going back to relatively easy six man house show tags for awhile.
  2. That was tremendous. Owens is so good. Why are they afraid to put more stuff like this on their main shows? It is a hell of a lot better than the same old 20 minute scripted in ring promo we have seen a million times that Vince/Dunn/writers are seemingly addicted to and have been for years. So much good/great stuff gets shunted off to youtube instead.
  3. Usos/New Day perhaps suffered slightly from the guys having too many ideas of spots to do and some didn't quite pan out, but still an amazing match with a great escalation of hatred and intensity. Loved the innovation and viciousness. All four guys just put it all out there. It really should have been the blowoff, but options are limited and these teams are killing it against each other. I wonder if adding an ally to the Usos to allow for some six man encounters would work. A trade for Joe maybe? I want to live in the alternative universe where Rusev got the Jinder push. The sun must shine a bit brighter in that world.
  4. I find it hilarious that Catrina, the immortal ghost, resorts to busting bottles over Ivelisse's head. Dario was fantastic in his reactions to that nonsense. As always he is the best. Striker with his pleas to stop the match when Ivelisse started to bleed a little rang pretty hollow coming off the gorefest from last week. Trouble with showing stuff out of order I suppose. Fenix tapped a vein...yeesh. I have really dug Melissa Santos performances, though pretty over the top at times, in this feud. Watching her vindictively cutting Marty's hair was a nice payoff to The Moth's months of creeping on her.
  5. C'mon they don't even do fart and caca all that well.
  6. I always assumed it was the same finish since Sid hit Pillman with another, much safer powerbomb, after the botched one. Also of note is Sid LOUDLY calling spots in plane view of the in ring cam throughout the match.
  7. Trips finally gets to do a version of War Games. While it probably can't attain the awesomeness of early versions, 92 being my all time favorite, it should be a ton of fun.
  8. Fair point, badasses was a poor choice of words. Cole has pretty much perfected the cocky heel persona so it should serve him well. Still think a bit of muscle wouldn't hurt.
  9. Oney Lorcan was so great at just throwing his body at the golem that is Lars Sullivan. The crowd seemed psyched for Lorcan and for the Danny Burch save. I doubt they have I high ceiling, but I hope they keep getting opportunities to stiff dudes in NXT for a long time. Good to see Aichner again and he got his stuff in pretty good with Ohno leading the way. The fact they were considering moving Liv Morgan up says a lot about how badly they evaluate talent at times. She just pales in comparison to so many women on the roster and especially with the new talent coming in. She must have someone in her corner(besides horndog Nigel) because otherwise there is zero reason for her to still be under contract. Heavy Machinery are always fun, Dozer especially. Big hosses that can go will never not be entertaining. Yep that main was just sort of there. I don't hate the Undisputed Era, but they aren't setting the world on fire either. Those guys just don't come off as bad asses. Maybe if they had a big heater in the group. If Roddy does the turn I wouldn't really consider him right for that role either. Dijak maybe?
  10. I never really rated Dolph high as a Shawn Michaels-lite guy, because I never really rated Michaels that high. I know that is blasphemy, but both guys work was all ego driven to me. I prefer guys who work smart and enhance their opponents while working different styles than just being big bumpers and athletic showmen. Probably one of the reasons I also don't care for the Young Bucks.
  11. Watch both teams break up in the same match and reform into new teams. It will be swervetastic!
  12. This always struck me as a huge missed opportunity. It almost seemed like them testing the waters for a face Rusev as Cena was totally heeling up and Rusev looked like such a badass fighting back through all that. I still don't think it would be hard to pull off really. The smarks already love the guy and he is talented and has enough personality to pull off a turn given the right opponent. Also just put him and Lana back together already.
  13. Regal randomly telling the story of how he attacked Quiet Riot's Kevin DuBrow to someone in his office before Roddy comes in was amazing.
  14. Their continued reluctance on signing Garrett is puzzling to me, but I am sure lots of factors go into it. I hope they do have some kind of concrete plans for what do with this well spring of new talent. I mean some of them will just be working at the developmental center, but more are ready to go right now.
  15. I should hate this as Prichard is not not afraid to run bits into the ground, but dammit this still got a chuckle out of me.
  16. I would even reference that horribly misguided shot for shot Psycho remake over that dumpster fire of unfunny.
  17. My brain can't process hating on the plucky charming cool pirate princess who can kick ass over the MMA prospect who needs a lot of work. But it's an art and always subject to personal tastes. Give me Kairi eveyday of the week. Good match with a well told story that played into strengths and avoided weaknesses. I probably would have preferred two great workers/characters in the finals, but the through line story of both women made this work. I was very worried about the crowd/venue, but I was happy they won them over in the end. What is the theme of the next tournament? Super Heavyweights? Oh please, oh please!
  18. I have zero need to see Vince get busted open on a headbutt. Maybe it would help if I thought this program was going to "make" Owens, which I doubt. Even a Trips match seems shakey. Owens should be able to beat Shane and Trips as an active supposedly high level wrestler. I have zero confidence they will follow up with a serious push because they fail to do that in almost every case. I hope I am wrong as a dominant KO run would be fine by me. Usos/New Day with another really fun match. This feud deserves all the love it is getting. Poor Gable...that moment of trying to get the tag to do the finish must have felt like years. Ooof. American Alpha these guys are not.
  19. Pete Dunne is just a perfect scumbag. feigning the save on Wolfgang against The Shocking Era of System Undisputed or whatever only to just grab his belt and walk out. That was beautiful.
  20. I forgot that when they showed Baszler watching Sane/Storm backstage she almost looked like a real person watching a TV as opposed to their bizarre standing sideways next to a screen looking over your shoulder style they usually employ.
  21. I honestly think the combo of Vega/Almas has potential on the main roster. She brings the fire in promos and Cien can be the tranquilo killer. Then again they botch sure fire stars like Bayley so I am probably completely wrong with this assessment.
  22. While it did kinda bother me from a standpoint that Asuka was trending heel and having Ember be super cool with her is a bit kayfabe breaky, it was a cool sendoff. Now Trips just needs to protect his surrogate daughter/joshi killing machine on the main roster. I hope she is the exception that proves the rule. I loved how giddy Regal was while watching Lorcan/Burch pummel dudes. Not that I blame him. Itami/Ohno was solid and Itami's sell straddled the line of comically over the top and "MY NUTS!" just right.
  23. Baszler is totally countering Kairi's elbow into the choke probably for the win. Meh. Count me amongst those that has zero interest in Rousey or Horsewomen vs Horsewomen. I think Martinez would be good in a sort of player/coach role in NXT. She helped Baszler to her best match in the tourney. Storm/Sane was a bit of a let down with the sloppy moments and seeing Kairi crash head first into the ramp was awful. I would have much rather seen Piper in there. Storm just didn't impress as much as several other workers in the tournament. Regardless the MYC had some really good showings and moments and hopefully it will provide for some much needed depth to the NXT roster.
  24. Good lord Belair has sooooo much upside especially as a heel. The cockiness with the athleticism to back it up and the hair can be used to whip, choke etc. That match was a ton of fun even with that rough landing on the elbow. Sugehit/Martinez did nothing for me. I have never been a huge fan of either and just can't get into their work. Not saying they are bad, just not for me. Marti Bell stinking up the ring to the point they changed the finish was a blessing for Evers as she got another chance and had a really solid match with Laith. Niven/Deeb had me irrationally worried for a second when Piper missed that top rope splash. Had Deeb pinned her with a spear after that it would have been rough. That being said I was cool with Deeb's Kendrick-esque story and continue to dig Piper being awesome.
