  1. If anyone is looking to get into D&D Amazon has the 5th edition core books for around $25 each.
  2. FF XIV is $10 on Amazon today and comes with a free month if anyone is looking to try it.
  3. I like both of those changes. They also changed that you can't pull a Howland and call timeout right before a media timeout. Pitino got a 10-year extension from Louisville.
  4. Just going back to 2000, Stanislav Medvedenko, Todd MacCulloch, Tyrone Hill, and DeSagana Diop all started finals games.
  5. It's really good! It doesn't feel nearly as grindy as WoW did, and the quest writing is much better. And, except for chat, it plays really well on PS4.
  6. Record Keeper is a free mobile game. I forget exactly what the framing device is, but you're collecting characters from all the FF games and taking them through battles. It's pretty darn good, as F2P games go.
  7. I play it, but it doesn't really have its hooks in me the way it does with some people. It's a pretty solid little time-waster, though. I tried the FFXIV free trial and was so pleasantly surprised that I ended up buying and subscribing. It's not materially different than most MMOs, but the amount of thought and polish that goes into the design is really remarkable. I also started a new game of FFX and, boy, I had forgotten about how terrible all of the voice acting is.
  8. I believe that people in the NBA deliberately feed Jalen bad information because he's such an ass. Andrei Kirilenko has quietly retired. He really came along a few years too early; his game would make him a massive star today.
  9. Why not go for Thibs now that he's available? Isn't he the rich man's Scott SKiles? Why pay Thibs for a couple of losing seasons when you can get Skiles for half price? I like Orlando's players, but I don't think they really have a core there. You can't play Oladipo and Payton together in the backcourt, there's just not enough shooting there. Harris is good but I think he's close to his ceiling. The Vooch is good but not great. Gordon has no offensive game. All their starters are guys who would be the third option on a good team.
  10. I didn't think that was even a controversial position anymore. I don't know of anybody out there repping for the triangle except Phil. Scott Skiles got a 4 years deal from Orlando even though he'll get fired in 2.
  11. I'm not sure anyone but Phil still considers the triangle a great offensive system.
  12. Marc Gasol would be the obvious choice, but he's not going to New York. Dragic, Knight, Middleton, and Danny Green will all probably get looks.
  13. However it goes down, I think there's a 100% chance that Thomas is their next GM after Phil.
  14. Yeah, he had a valve replacement after the season ended. That had been planned for a while.
  15. Hard to say. Phil hasn't really done much as a GM yet, so it's hard to know how good or bad he'll actually be. But being a first-time GM coupled with the Knicks fucked-up front office doesn't fill me with confidence for them. Interesting tidbit re: the Bulls' coaching search: Diallo committed to KU a month ago, so either he knew something was in the works or was just keeping his options open for NBA jobs.
  16. Honestly, I think there are way worse things the Knicks could do than to throw a mini-max at Wade. And they'll probably do all of them.
  17. I really can't imagine a scenario where Wade leaves Miami. If he goes he's either getting really paid by a shitty team or getting the mid-level from a contender.
  18. Thibs is officially out. The press release didn't exactly throw him under the bus, but the bus was definitely in the vicinity.
  19. Bogut. Aussie's dont put up with that shit. It's life or death out here... Delly is Australian, too. For all we know they'll just combine into some MechaShiva that's made of all elbows and goofy hair
  20. I'll take the Dragonfall key, if you're offering.
  21. The fact that he tried to act like he didn't make the proverbial, "Business Decision" is fucking hilarious to me. We know why you left the lane, you know why you left the lane, you don't have to pretend like we all don't know what is going on. The alternative is... not great
  22. "Both teams played hard" was in a presser, so it's on the list. If we're opening it up to non-NBA, then the Super Bowl press conference that got interrupted by a 9/11 truther is my G.O.A.T.
  23. I'm trying to remember any memorable non-kid-related post-game press conferences. So far all I have is Iverson's 'practice' rant and Scalabrine going in after the Celtics won the title. I'm pretty sure that's it.
  24. I traded my soul for a year of Wiggins & Embiid and never looked back.
