Starting a new D&D campaign tonight, which will be my first time playing 5th ed. Very excited to roll out my Aasimar Cleric Praise-Tyr-On-High Hate-Evil Barebones. My elevator pitch of him is "Imagine if Oliver Cromwell actually had the power of god behind him." Should be fun.

I thought LaMelo was considered a legit prospect, insofar as any high school junior can be.

Congratulations to 2021 Azerbaijani Basketball League MVP, Lonzo Ball. In reality I think this is LaVar Ball just saying things. Otherwise he doesn't actually know how the draft or NBA free agency works.

Oh my god, we're getting a new Black Star album produced by Madlib. I may be hyperventilating a little bit right now

Looks like lightly toasted GPUs are already showing up:

Reg E Cathey, known for roles on Square One, The Wire, Oz, and House of Cards has died at age 60 after a battle with cancer.

Our fridge died for real this week. We bought a new one but it can't be delivered until the 14th so I guess we just go without until then. I'm not too sad about the loss of the fridge but I am pretty hacked off about having to throw away a bunch of food again.

Oh, are we posting good-ass tweets in here? Ed, please. This entire thread is full of gold:

My beer reviews tend to be limited to "That was good" or "That stunk" so I don't fuck with Untapped. Also, I had my yearly sixer of Brown Shugga this week and it is still good as hell.
-
Heh, I did something similar when I skimmed the label of a beer and just saw "brown ale" and not the "sour" that preceded it. That first swig was a hell of a shock. I still drank all of those terrible things because I'll damned if I'm going to throw away a $12 4-pack.

Pretty much immediately. I think deadline for signing a player so they can make the playoff roster is March 1 so the next 3 weeks will be interesting.

The trade deadline is gone, long live the trade deadline. Some other stuff that happened: -Elfrid Payton to Phoenix for a 2nd round pick -Vonleh to Chicago for a 2nd round pick and cash.

It's especially crazy because being a Lou Williams-type bench scorer is probably the best possibly role for IT right now.

Without getting too deep into the politics NASA has the same problem as every other government agency in that a certain segment of our politicians believe the private sector can do everything better than the government can so they've spent 35 years slashing funding to gov programs, which turns that belief into a self-fulfilling prophecy. It also happens that a lot of what NASA does (or did) in terms of basic research and engineering is stuff that is pretty uniquely unsuited to being done by the private sector. Anyway, I guess it's cool that Elon Musk makes toys for rich people instead of being actively evil with his money but his ass is still going up against the wall when the revolution comes.

The IT era in LA is already going great

Dwyane Wade getting traded back to Miami! It's all happening!

Woj sez Rodney Hood to the Cavs, no terms announced yet. So that's interesting. EDIT: Yowza

IT's on an expiring contract and given his injury/attitude issues this year I don't think he's got a great shot to be re-signed.
