    I made the mistake of sending my wife to buy cat food this weekend on a day they were doing an adoption event and, long story short, now we're going to look at a cat to adopt tonight.

    I got Swords of Ditto and I'm digging it so far. It's Rogue Legacy meets Legend of Zelda with an adorable hand-drawn art style. My only real beef with it so far is that it's slow. Like, the main character walks really slowly and getting through dialogue takes forever. A game that's based on iteration like this really needs to be a little peppier to aboid feeling like a slog.

    Unsurprisingly, Ettore Messina with coach the Spurs in game 3 after the passing of Pop's wife. I've been on the "Thibs is a mediocre coach" bandwagon for years and been laughed at for it. Dude is a great assistant coach but doesn't possess the team- or game-management skills to really excel. He's basically Scott Skiles 2.0.

    I saw a commercial last night for paper. Not a commercial for a paper company, but for the concept of using paper. Capitalism is weird.

    I am stupid and bought myself Far Cry 5 for my birthday. I'm a few hours in and it is certainly more Far Cry. You can get animal friends, so obviously I love it, but it also feels like I've done this before in more interesting places. I had a lot of fun with my fire strike Purifier just exploding everything with double pistols.

    Speaking of assholes and twitter I came across Ripclawe on there harassing a lady about Gamergate several years after that was a thing. So he's still pretty much the same.

    Jesus, I had no idea so many of the board's famous assholes were just Ganc, although it makes a lot of sense in retrospect. Seeing that dude's mind apparently come apart over the course of a few years was a hell of a thing to watch.

    I didn't have too many issues with the base game on xbox, but the expansions were pretty squirrely. Still totally worth playing.

    There was a bug where if you created a stat-boosting spell and added Soul Trap as an effect it would make the stat boost permanent. But you had to look at the ground when you cast or it would crash the game. I cannot believe I still remember this shit.

    True, but on the flipside you could bug out the spellcrafting system to max out your stats, which was all good fun.

    We're working on getting our condo ready to sell and we got preapproved for a mortgage today so I guess this might really be happening. BRB, gonna go stress-vomit for a while thinking about taking on six figures worth of debt.

    That reminds me that I have a gift certificate for a float place that the wife got me for Christmas. Maybe I'll try and use that this weekend.

    Crusader Kings 2 is free on Steam today. If you don't have it by now you should really get it.

    Kyrie is going to miss the rest of the season and the playoffs. I really hope the Bucks can end up the 7th seed and get them in the first round, because I would sure as shit rather see them than Toronto or Cleveland.
