  1. ...who becomes increasingly pissed because he could be back at the hotel on top of his woman, but these jobbers keep trading moves.
  2. And Michelle Yeoh, Ziyi Zhang, JeeJa Yanin, and Pam Grier.
  3. The fanboy love started with the action figure. George Lucas sucks. George Lucas is God. What is a fanboy to do?
  4. Frasier was better than Cheers, a show that suffered greatly from the death of Nicholas Colasanto and the departure of Shelley Long and only remained watchable for the banter with the bar patrons, including Frasier and Lilith. Seinfeld just straight up sucks.
  5. 89, Returns, Begins, and since we're talking Phantasm, that one too. And while I wouldn't call it a better film, I'd rather watch 66 than TDK.
  6. TDK is maybe the 5th best Batman film.
  7. Yeah, none. Not a single one. I liked '66. Actually it may be my favorite because it was the 1st live action version I saw. I liked Burton primarily because I expected disaster but got something like a respectful version of the character. I liked Begins. Quite frankly, I fell asleep the first two times I attempted to watch TDK. I like a lot of Batman films. I love none of them. Much like the raging debate about MoS, none of these versions are Batman. They play around the edges of the obsession but largely miss the mark. He is like the Sheriff Andy Taylor of Superheros, fallible but justified. And trustworthy. Would you trust any of these bozos from the films? Probably not. And of course, he don't need no fucking exoskeleton. Unless he is wrapping his fingers around Superman's throat. That's fine. But seriously, even the Bats of the Golden to Bronze Age (before he became nearly perfect) that was constantly getting whacked from behind with blackjacks/billy clubs/ lead pipes, would need about 10 seconds to deal with West/Keaton/Clooney/Kilmer/Bale. I am not including any of the animated treatments in this. They are indeed the best versions so far but then they should be.
  8. Back in the day I preferred to read about Superman's Pals & Girlfriends rather than the Big Blue Bore himself, and I love me some Bruce beating the shit out of Clark, but Richard Donner and Christopher Reeves combined to give us the Best Possible Superman while some of the Batman films have exceeded my expectations but have never approached my fan boy hopes.
  9. A cool dude with sometimes questionable taste. Stax>Motown.
  10. There are a lot of great music docs on netflix right now. Muscle Shoals, 20 Feet from Stardom, Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me, The Punk Singer, Hit So Hard... all worth watching. A few different ones that I've watched recently that I really liked.
  11. LOL I can't believe I didn't vote for Ogon Batto. This should serve as some personal lesson about drinking Irish whiskey while playing around on the internet.
  12. In keeping with the theme, I voted Vigilante because "fuck Shaq."
  13. When I need a Barbeau fix, there is always Escape from New York.
  14. I disagree that IM2 is a shitty movie nor do I think X2 is that much better than IM3 and I will be shocked if the IM films don't advance.
  15. The board being the board, I expect someone will vote for Howard the Duck and maybe the FF movie. I would have probably voted Howard the Duck over Cap 2011, but nothing else.
