  1. Man, you're really going to go this route? Desperation.
  2. So what's the difference between a well-build narrative and something predictable, then? Is this a serious question? "Well-built" is not synonymous with "telegraphed with zero subtlety". There is a distinct difference between a logical progression of a story that includes a few kinks and twists along the way to make one second-guess their own instincts and enjoy the ride to the climax, and one that is so obvious that there's no point in finishing because you already know what's going to happen.
  3. Oh, Gregg, it's just a shame that all of us and the fans in the crowd just can't see the logical progression of the narrative and how brilliant it is as clearly as you do. We are just such poor, misguided fools that are lucky to have you to spell it all out for us. It's just too bad that this well-built narrative isn't actually very compelling, but rather obvious and predictable booking that everyone has seen coming and has been dreading.
  4. 1) What part of the triple-threat match do you feel has Vince's signature on it? 2) Ambrose would have been cheered. Hell, Rusev would have received a face reaction if he tossed Reigns out at the last. 3) Reigns can't talk and doesn't really do anything in matches other than hit his big spots. He was protected in the Shield, because that was all he had to do. Now, the other two Shield members are clearly far more over than he is, have had better singles matches, and yet he's the one hyped to the heavens (remember the injury updates? They didn't even bother doing those for Bryan, who was the World Champion). People (i.e. anyone other than you) generally resent being told who they are supposed to cheer for.
  5. I also eagerly await hearing how causing a crowd to audibly chant "We Want Refunds" and booing Golden Boy Reigns to the point where even The Rock started to get booed by association is brilliant booking.
  6. Good luck to your team in the next round of the FA Cup.
  7. The Daily Mail showing their allegiances in reacting to Chelsea blowing a two-goal lead and losing at home in the FA Cup... ...compare this to their reaction when Arsenal lost to the same team in the Capital One Cup a few years ago.
  8. So, Martin Odegaard has finally signed with Real Madrid, which will probably end any further discussion of him in the media outside of mentions in columns discussing former can't-miss prospects who never lived up to the hype.
  9. Not really the game to say they aren't divers, though. Or did you not see how they got the penalty?
  10. Man City had absolutely no answer for Santi Cazorla. Arsenal only had 35% possession, and yet that was one of the most assured and confident displays I can remember seeing from them in forever. The away support seemed to drown out the home fans in the Ettihad. Bellerin is showing signs that he could develop into a solid first-choice right back. Not bad for a team full of lightweights, low grade ankle kickers and divers.
  11. Regarding the breakthrough notifications in PES, generally the player needs a good performance in that match (averaging 6.5 or higher) as well as in their subsequent appearances. Upon doing so, they'll see a boost in their ratings and overall. I had a player jump 6 points in their overall rating about three matches after their showcase match - I made sure to keep their pass completion percentage high and tried to set them up specifically for goals/assists.
  12. What in the fuck did I just watch?
  13. Number one, it's a contact sport, stop being a pussy. Number two, Arsenal always try to give it back. They're just not tough enough to manage it. Number three, where were you when Ivanovic was kicking the shit out of Sanchez in October? Number four, did Arnautovic get a card for the 50/50 on the touchline? Was there any suggestion of him getting a card? No? So it was a clean challenge. Stop whingeing. Debuchy was shielding the ball and had his back to the Stoke thug, there was zero chance of Arnautovic getting the ball. http://gfycat.com/DismalArcticImperatorangel In hockey, that would have been a game misconduct boarding penalty. During the NBC Sports stream, Lee Dixon stated that if it was a defender pushing an attacker, it would have been a penalty and at least a yellow card if not red. I probably would have commented on Alexis getting kicked at Chelsea if he'd been injured. Also, using the phrase "stop being a pussy" in your opening statement when discussing an injury is always a great indicator that you have a logical and well-reasoned point. Remember, not everyone can be as alpha as you, brah.
  14. Fucking Stoke, just can't seem to resist the temptation to be thuggish pricks when playing the Gunners. First we have Adam's mysterious sleeper against Sanchez in the debacle at their shithole earlier in the season, today we have Arnautovic needlessly shoving Debuchy from behind at the endline. After the ball had gone out of play, sending him crashing into the turf and dislocating his shoulder. I hope Alexis puts another two past Begovic today. And just as I type this, Alexis gets another one. One to go.
  15. I thought third-party ownership was already banned in England and supposed to have been banned by FIFA? The sheikhs should be hit with a transfer ban like that handed down to Barcelona.
  16. The land of Shura at least brings the tweener awesomeness of Shachi to the HnK stage. For that, I'm willing to forgive a lot of the weirder excesses it showcased.
  17. Yeah, Man City really are just the pluckiest of spirited underdogs, somehow willing their way to victory despite all the odds being against them.
  18. Seriously, a midcard heel is doing a better job putting over the dominant heel champion as a serious threat than either the top face or the announcers. That's just wonderful.
  19. Say what you will about Gerrard, but the man knew how to set up a goal. In other news, I've resigned myself to the fact that Arsenal will very likely miss out on Champions League football for the first time since I've followed the Premier League, and that Wenger will also either step down or be forced out when the season ends. So it goes. If all of the above transpires AND the Gunners finish below Sp*rs...man.
  20. I love how Gregg still gets a boner for the most played-out angle that has dragged down wrestling interminably for over 15 years, the heel authority figure. Fucking hell, can we never move on from this?
  21. Martin Atkinson had an absolute shocker for the Arsenal v. QPR match today. Just...unbelievable ineptitude.
  22. I was completely awe-struck by how plodding and shitty it was. Just think, there are some yokels out there who paid the full PPV price and were treated to that. It's like they're intentionally devaluing the product so that those who aren't subscribing to the Network won't pay full price anymore.
  23. Thank the stars we have you to keep fighting the good fight so that the TRUTH gets out there.
