  1. My word, that still is such a brilliant promo/angle/segment... - RAF
  2. My favorite announcer ever, I am legit choked up. Never heard a bad word about him. His calling of thee Funk/Lawler Empty Arena March is a highlight of the biz. - come on now, RAF
  3. Here is a longtime wondering of mine: what is the liquid in the wrapped/covered bottles Onita would often get post-match (FMW-era)? Usually he would take a slug, pour some over his head, grab the mic, breathe into it, start saying his nemesis' name, yelling and/or crying, put on his satin or denim jacket and eventually take more swigs and spew and point. Water? Sake? Mineral water? Pokari Sweat? Tears of Baba? i gots to know, RAF
  4. Neville is a gosh darn gem, so very overlooked but a consistent worker, a carpenter, under-rated on the mic AND brilliant with the silent seething and great with his gimmick. He adds a real sense of legitimacy to this show by making the belt be a real prize. (get a room), RAF
  5. Every one of RReign's tweets should be "Sufferin' Succotash!!!". In fact, every one of all the WWE Superstars (tm) tweets should be the lamest catch-phrase (c) the writing squad came up for them, ad infinitum. - RAF
  6. Oy, thanks for making me feel old. "EotT" is structurally an ideal theme song. I am thee farthest thing from a Hogan fan, but I will never forget his first MSG title defense (02/20/84 I looked it up (oy pt. 2)) - the loudest pop I have ever heard for his entrance. - RAF
  7. This was such a hard choice but: 1) it's really the caption that makes the second one although it is brilliant #B - everybody loves thee midgets! - RAF
  8. The WW movie is pushed on Netflix, or at least on my stream as I have a weakness for foreign -I mean, International- action movies. It was not easy to watch. It almost seemed like a clever parody of Reagan-era jingoistic action movies rather than the ham-fisted paean to the military that it is. Almost. - RAF
  9. I am bummed that Andre beat Tajiri, but to me the ultimate Andre gif (aside from a loop of him pooping on Bad News Allen) would be the Giant doing the Fish Song from TNT... - RAF
  10. Received my Black Metal Brody shirt yesterday and gifted it with great effect today. Nicely done, Mr. Dikk and thee VP crew. - a regular Sanity Clause ovah here, RAF
  11. Watching lots of promos lately, and I have never seen this before: The Rowdy One assembles TEAM HEPATITIS. All three men have suffered the horrors of the heps. Destiny plays a rib... - you can't make this stuff up (but a good segment nonetheless), RAF
  12. Why is it I remember that thread from four years ago but I ordered the same book from Amazon twice last week? Priorities, chairshots or getting old? what a drag. RAF
  13. I too have seen that burnt Abby pic. Way nasty, worse than him eating raw chicken and furniture polish on promos. I will look around as well. - RAF
  14. This really has it all, the Ur-Albano promo, Sheer genius... - fountain of info, manager of champs, RAF
  15. Whilst Tajiri's power is immense, too much time making friends with the gaijin and thee lack of a proper manager (*ahemMRGARYHARTcoughing*) has shrunk thee size and potency of his Poison Mist Sac (tm). He needed to go back to the Hidden Arcane Mystic Shinobi Tengu Forest Mountain Fortress Temple and meditate some more. It's all about the PMSac size... - RAF
  16. Bronko Lubich (and he is Hungarian, Mr. Laconic Flippant Russ Davis Announcer-Man) always had thee great hair and 'stache combo. I love that coiffed 'do that gets all mussed when the heel starts getting the worst of it. Great jacket on Jack Allen as well. 'Rassling was was made for TV, but I would argue that a major step into the Modern Era was the adoption of color TV and the need for workers to get colorful themselves to stand out, by being more vibrant in personality and peacocked in ringwear. Anyway, Bronko with thee proto-Accolade, such a classic match, basic even, but that is certainly not a put-down. This is what rookies on the indies should be able to do, get over a simple match like this just with heel/face dynamics. - RAF
