  1. Episode 2 sold me on The Brink. The only thing from the pilot I didn't care for was Jack Black, and I thought he had the funniest moment in this episode.
  2. I love Hammer's Phantom of the Opera, but I love pretty much every version of it, even the time traveling one with Robert Englund. Herbert Lom is quite good in the Hammer one. I believe Cary Grant was attached to it at one point, which would have been neat.
  3. Right? I hate to see anyone out of a job, but no ones getting paid anyway.
  4. Speak for yourself. My dog is a conqueror!
  5. Now that's interesting. Maybe Armitage is either a red herring, or he's playing a version of Dolarhyde in Will's mind to disconnect from the murders.
  6. I'm pretty sure Justice Scalia just hates being married. The stuff he said today...I'd be afraid to go home.
  7. Cusack has basically said that he thought it was a shrewd business move to become relevant in the Chinese market and that he couldn't turn down a chance to work with Chan. I've never heard the backstory about Adrien Brody's career going to shit. I know Oscar's don't give actors the cache that they used to, but damn.
  8. Those were the states where it's already legal. Edit: Or what Raziel said more succinctly than me.
  9. Obviously there were numerous contributing factors. However, the thing that always stuck out to me about the steroid use was either Dave or Alvarez saying that he never cycled off even when he was hurt. He was apparently afraid of people he'd run into seeing him looking smaller.
  10. My angle would be to have Jarrett win control of the company only to discover he's inherited a metric fuckton of debt. He goes on the run from his new financial responsibilities, ends up in India, and RING KA KING SEASON 2!
  11. Hogan's opinion would mean more to me if he hadn't spent his entire TNA run schilling a different guy as the future of professional wrestling every week. Hulk's always working. I'd like his thoughts about a guy before he's already really over and getting a monster push on the main roster.
  12. The problem is the wait staff spend all night hyping up the main course and talking shit about the main course over at WWF New York, even when people are trying to enjoy their entree and appitiser."Tonight's special at that other wrestling restaurant is a dry Stone Cold Sirloin. That ought to put a lot of asses in seats."
  13. I think it's supposed to be a meditation on how public personas shape our responses to movies and television. How long before you stop feeling like you're watching a parody and you realize you really are watching a mundane Lifetime thriller? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit and Ferrell really did lose a bet.
  14. He's trying to work WWE into a top spot like Punk, but he's probably going to be making Asylum movies by next year like John Morrison.
  15. I love that NWO promo. I thought it was a missed opportunity not to do a heel Dusty vs face Flair program at the time.
  16. Your version's better Caley.
  17. My wife's uncle was talking about Dusty passing, and he said, "I watched WWE before it was WWE, before it was WWF." Me, with probably an insane grin: "Like WWWF?!" He shrugged and awkwardly stepped away.
  18. I think Will is a composite of the book Graham and Clarice. I don't think we'll ever get to Starling even if they could work out the rights to Silence. I liked the ambiguity they left to the Mischa stuff as I'm not a big fan of any of that from the books. Next week looks absurdly and grotesquely fun. Can't wait.
  19. The Punk matches did a nice job of making Cena work for that sequence. He would start it and Punk would cut him off at various points until he finally nailed the whole thing after several attempts.
  20. Has anyone seen the Spanish language Dracula Universal shot concurrently with Browning's? I've always been curious about it.
  21. If LU won an Emmy, Kevin Dunn would be shitting bricks because Vince would find out there's other, better ways to produce a wrestling show.
  22. "I think the message to, uh, psychos, fanatics, murderers, nutcases all over the world is do not mess with suburbanites. Because frankly we're just not gonna take it any more. Ya know, we're not gonna be content to look after our lawns and wax our cars, paint our houses. We're out to get them, Don, we are out to get them." Rest in power.
