  1. I don't think WCCW dies as fast though. I think WCW cuts ties to the NWA faster leading to Dallas becoming the lead office. James
  2. On the Eddie Guerrero front: They were already planning on putting the belt on him again by all accounts. He supposed to get the big Mania push that coming year (i.e. winning the Rumble). His death threw everything off and lead to Booking Rey to win and then the Rey's disastrous world title run. James
  3. ... and so ends Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. Of the last 5 Super Sentai shows it is probably second best (it takes a lot to top Samurai Sentai Shinkenger). It just might be 2nd best of the last 10 years as well (though I can make arguments for both Abaranger and Boukenger). We didn't get a staple of the last 10 years for the final episode, which is the helmetless roll call but they kind of sis that in episode 47 (though not exactly). All right enough, I LOVED Kyoryuger! Here is the FINALE (RAW) James
  4. What if there was no AJ/NOAH split? Does Misawa eventually get financing to force Motoko Baba out? What if Hashimoto had not died? How well would his Ne Japan return go? Does he come in as returning hero or heel invader? Do they give him one last IWGP reign? Do we avoid the Lesnar debacale and see Hash pass the torch to Tanahashi? James
  5. But Danny Kaye us dead, who will be the wacky dentist? James
  6. I don't even think was properly trained, just shoved out there because of his name. World Class/USWA was desperate at that point and between severing ties to the NWA in 85 Vince's giant push the year before a lot of places Chris could've gone to get seasoning were cut off to him. I mean think of all the places he could've gone ot experience that died by the time he got in shape: Florida, Continental, Central States/Missouri, Mid South/UWF and Stampede were either dead or dying. David, Kerry and Kevin all had that benefit of working not just in Texas but other places that helped mold them into genuinely good wrestlers. James
  7. Mike still gets pushed but it changes the 6 Man tag match at Parade of champions to Kerry/Kevin/Mike v. The Freebirds. Hell I never thought Mike was truly awful, just uncomfortable being thrust in the spotlight to fill the gap affecting his mental game. Mike could've been a pretty fun FiP in any number of tag matches. James
  8. What if David Von Erich hadn't died and then won the NWA Title at The Parade of champions as originally planned? Does he get a meaningful run or does he get the same 18 day run that Kerry did? Does World Class not break away from the NWA? Does David run World Class as planned and avoid working with Jerry Jarrett/Jerry Lawler and Verne Gagne? James
  9. Lego movie was AMAZING~! Will Arnett is now my 3rd favorite batman behind Conroy and West James

    Justified

Haven't watched new episode yet but did Tudyk lose weight after getting a little tubby during his run on Suburgatory? James
  11. I liked the Brainiac arc, Superman & LSH but man did I LOATHE Secret Origin! James
  12. My jaw has hit the floor so many times... Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Episode 47 is just so... for damn... AWESOME~! It isn't even the last episode but it definitely felt like it. I can't wait for the Director's Cut of this episode 48! James
  13. Thank God for The Alan Partridge movie~! James
  14. This might be the best "Champion Works The Clock" match that Tully worked. Its the kind of match he and Mike Rotundo perfected as TV champ. Terry Taylor is the perfect plucky babyface. I enjoy the hell out of this match. One of the few Tully matches on TV during his short US title reign James
  15. I haven't been watching much TV outside of Justified, so imagine my delight when I check the DVR and 3 new episodes of Suburgatory on there! Sadly no Alan Tudyk thids season ,but after last season his characterreally wrapped up his arc (besides Tudyk is showing up on Justified). The dog is a welcoem addition to the cast. Its a shame Malin ackerman was already doing something else because an extended arc with Tessa/George and Alex would've been emotional, but they would have made it still funny. Still the way they handled it made sense given how they had established Alex (Ackerman) the last season. I think the big moment will be when Dallas and George finally resolve their issues so both can move on (that's if George isn't already utting it to the dog walker by next episode). Jeremy Sisto continues to be awesome and Jane Levy? Jane Levy plays one of the best believably written teens on TV! I love this show! James
  16. Magnum TA v. Tully Blanchard I Quit Match Vote - Yes It is possibly the best blow off match of all time. The story is so simple, it wasn't just that the cage was there to prevent Tully from running, it was there so that Magnum could prove his dominance over Tully. Its to show that if by some miracle Tully could win it would be an absolute fluke. The match is like the philosophy of Robert E Howard put in a wrestling ring in that No matter how civilized Magnum has tried to be during his feud with Tully, the only way to beat Tully and truly win was to bleed him and say I quit . Magnum has to resort to barbaric means because, despite all his glamor, Tully is sniveling shit. Magnum is Conan and Tully Blanchard must be destroyed to appease Crom! James
  17. If we are doing votes now then I say no on Sting/Rude. Its more of an AWESOME angle as opposed ot an amazing match James
  18. Lex Luger v. Tommy Rich 8/18/89 Lex Luger v. Brad Armstrong 8/25/89 Seriously Luger was just awesome from 89-91. Steamboat got lowballed by WCW after his match with Luger at the Bash and bolted. They had no one lined-up so instead of building someone as logical challenger Tommy Rich was brought in as one of Ole's old pals with something to prove. Commentary even puts off that Rich was a former World Champ who might seem overmatched by the younger champ but looks ae deceiving! James
  19. Luger v. Flair From 9/12/90 CotC 12 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2yhvz_lex-luger-vs-ric-flair-u-s-title_sport Luger is defending against an incessed Flair, who is trying desperately trying to get back his status as #1 contender to Sting's World title. The story is so simple, when Flair is hungry he is 10 times more dangerous than when he is champ and Luger also has that aura of never having beaten Flair clean. James
  20. I nominate Luger v. Pillman from Halloween Havoc 89! It was the first real glimpse of how Pillman could hang with the heavyweights in WCW! Pillman was over with the fans and was the perfect guy to get a push against Luger and the match itself plays off an excellent power v. speed. Its not so much a cat mouse game of speed v. Strength but rather can Luger overcome Pillman's impressive offense. If Luger can slow the match down to his pace can he ven keep control of how dynamic Pillman is? I love this match to pieces and itsa shame Ole Anderson didn't like contracted gys nd killed Pillman's push. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xuzc0_brian-pillman-vs-lex-luger-10-28-89_news James
  21. I do like how everyone doe an insane blade job EXCEPT Buddy Rose James
  22. LCO v. Ito/Watanabe~! CAGE~! BLOOD~! Mima Shimoda~! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUwPDifTA4c James
  23. Watch Vince will sign the wrong Sting... http://hallandoates.tripod.com/images/Police.jpg James
