PPV-level 3-way as an opener. Man Andrade is good when he wants to be, or maybe when he has guys who can work his style? Death Triangle-House of Black was a thing that happened. Some big dude showed up. Keith Lee-JD Vance was big meaty men slapping meat. Good hoss fight, with the clean lift for the finisher as a hell of a highlight, at least until Lee bealed Petey Avalon clean out of the ring. If I’m being 100% honest having Shida’s return as the payoff to the 5-minute challenge is a wasted opportunity but she sure was beating the shit out of Deeb with that stick. Focusing on the knee was a nice touch. Main was very solid, I think I like Ethan Page the real person more than the wrestler, he’s fine but just that. Good reversal into finisher for Cage. Good segments from Kingston and Punk, and the Cargill segment was short and sweet if confusing.

That was unreal to me, much less from Andrade.

My friends had a spazzy hardcore band in the early 00s called Kids in Service to Satan. They were rad, I think their longest set was 8 minutes and tha twould have been probably every song they ever wrote.

Make Jurassic Express the tag team champs of AEW Kids and let Acclaimed and FTR duke it out for the main title.

I worked 12+ hours the last 4 days and I'm in a hotel for one more night. But all I have to do tomorrow is ride 4 hours in a truck so I have a 6 pack and I'm hoping to stay awake long enough for Rampage!

When Tony started, I thought he was talking about TNA/Impact but RoH is also a holy shit moment. Danielson and Daniels was excellent, as to be expected. Danielson really is just stiffing the crap out of everyone. Tag battle royale, as with all battle royales, had moments mixed in with a lot of chaos and built some feuds. Top Flight gets a huge rub! Anthony Bowens gets a huge rub! Wingmen on actual television! Let's run Acclaimed vs Top Flight for #1 contenders. P&P vs 2.0, am I remembering that right? And then there's FTR. Not really rooting for any of the teams in the 3-way at the PPV, and I'm expecting JE to retain when ReD and Bucks take each other out to advance that feud. Punk-MJF was perfect. I thought I was going to have to wipe Punk's blood off my TV screen after that closeup. The women's tag match did a good job of selling the PPV match, and Rosa and Britt definitely decided to lay in some snug shots. Good match but had awkward moments. Hayter's tiny pants are borderline NSF-regular cable, much less SFW. Wardlow was Wardlow, ready for him to destroy Spears. Guess we know where Comoroto and Bononi lie in the Dark pecking order. Main was also very good and did an excellent job of being the go-home match for the PPV main event. JR saying that Silver was like Ivan Putski (who was a central Texas gym teacher post-wrestling) with a beard was funny, but mostly made me want Silver and an unmasked Preston Vance to dress up as Ivan and Nikita Koloff. Great show top to bottom, definitely sold me on the PPV, wasn't able to pay super close attention, especially during PiP, as I was once again having to work late in a hotel while watching Dynamite.

I just finished watching and I agree with pretty much all of this, except that Stu, Angels, and Uno don't do a whole lot for me and seem fungible with other people already on the roster (I came on to AEW well after Brodie Lee and the Dark Order). Nice to see Chaos Project get some offense in, too. I wanted Blue to go over. Sign Willow Nightengale. Lethal is a very giving wrestler even on the Youtube shows. Wight: "He needs to save his breath to cool off the pie" pause Henry, laughing "That was the most country-ass shit I've ever heard". Mind you, Henry is from deep south country Texas, so when HE'S calling you country.

What if this is building to Jade versus Deeb? I mean, I kind of like the idea of "My potential weakness as a wrestler is someone who is going to go mat-based so I need to learn that as well".

Thanks for the info, I would prefer something more pick up and play, and with Omega and other NJPW guys on the box art I was kinda assuming they were in the game as is. Sounds more like a pass for my interest level.

I haven’t played a wrestling video game since WCW vs the World for PS1, but I saw a copy of Fire Pro Wrestling World for PS4 for $25 and thought I’d ask here if it’s worth getting?

Hopefully after the PPV is over and the MJF-Punk and Mox-Danielson stuff is settled we can have less promo time so that they don’t go to PiP every single match. It’s getting worse and worse, usually starts about 2 minutes into a match.

There was a lot to love and some other parts. Opener was hot and what I like about AEW is that Andrade can lose clean, feud with Matt Hardy, and still be a contender. Having Kassidy in the background is going to lead somewhere. Wardlow-Comoroto was unexpectedly amazing, like who woulda thunk that would be a hard fought, evenly matched hoss fight? I loved this match and what happened after. And was that crowd hotter than Dynamite? I said it before but the Deeb challenge has to happen on tape because it’s not over live at all. This can’t go past the PPV, no matter how much we might like it here. I’m with everyone else wondering who is going to be The One. Caster’s rap was not up to standards and yet it had the Danhausen foreshadow. I love Bowens and I wanted him to fully go over. Someday I’ll get to see him win a big singles, or see The Acclaimed win a big tag. I don’t know, this might have been a time for a flash pin or a cheat pin, I’m forgetting stuff but Friday is a drunk night. I’m working out of town Monday through Saturday next week so I’ll have per diem to buy the PPV guilt free.
