I met Roddy Piper for the first time when I was 5 years old. We were at a grocery store and my mom recognized him from TV (I was a big wrestling fan even then) and took me to say hello. Growing up in Beaverton, just a few miles down the road from where Roddy Piper lived, I had the incredible fortune of being able to meet him several times over the course of my life. He was our home town hero. Always showing up at some local event to cut a ribbon, or shake some hands. Roddy Piper was responsible for my life long love affair with wrestling. Even more than Hulk Hogan, or Randy Savage, because Piper was real, he was larger than life, and now he's gone. Rest in peace Hot Rod.

I thought he was Greek/Filipino? The Philippines have a history of Spanish colonization though, so it's very likely he's got Spanish blood as well.

Jericho is at that comfortable level of "medium famous" where he can open for actual rock stars and make a decent living off of touring, state fairs, and cruise ships, I don't see why he's so insecure about it. He should just be happy for being the 5th or 6th best act of the Attitude Era and also being able to be the 5th or 6th best act on any given Fozzy show.

I think K-Fed gets mentioned more by DVDVR for his brief wrestling stint, than he does in all other media for all time for anything he may have done as a reality TV star or the ex-Mr Brittney Spears. The world has moved on from K-Fed but DVDVR remembers.

I call that phenomena "Schrodinger's Douchebag" Someone who is only determined to be joking or serious upon the observation of someone taking offense to it.

I'm super happy to see Goto with the Intercontinental belt. I've always loved the guy but he's struck me as someone who's suited for the main event gatekeeper role rather than as IWGP champ. It's nice that there's a secondary belt that means something, and guys like Goto get runs they deserve.
