  1. Watching a 6/30/73 MSG show(on Peacock) and it's pretty entertaining.
  2. I enjoyed the hell out of the show.
  3. This past Saturday I made a batch of spaghetti(crock pot) and meat loaf(oven). I used Jalapeno Cheddar bulk sausage(2.5 lbs.). The meat loaf. 3 eggs, 1 packet Kinder's Meat Loaf mix, 1 can tomato sauce, way too many bread crumbs. Mixed all of that into some hand grenade looking balls and put them in pans in the oven for a few hours @ 325F. The spaghetti. 1.25 lbs. JC sausage, 1 lb. pot ready spaghetti, 1 can Shitake mushrooms, 1 jar Our Family Mushroom/Garlic pasta sauce. Let cook in the crock for a few hours. Both came out amazing.
  4. A year ago and I was working 50-60 hrs a week. Flash forward to now and we're barely hitting 40 hrs./wk. A few water leaks under the house(that have been fixed) and tomorrow an electrician is coming to fix a hanging outlet(that is under the house that the heat tapes for my water lines plug into) and do a safety inspection on the electrical system. Two things that I don't mess with are electrical and plumbing because with my luck I'd electrocute and drown myself simultaneously.
  5. I watched Poor Things. It is definitely a very interesting movie. It's also the most accessible of the director's movies that I've seen.
  6. Thanks for that.
  7. Finally got Sci-Fi(roommate pronounced it Sky-Fi) when I moved into an apartment complex that had it's own cable system. That was '96-ish. Most interesting thing on it then was a show about a lady werewolf in England.
  8. Nice. As I'm replying to his I'm at the point in the episode where you and Al are discussing The Samoans.
  9. Guessing these Samoans were T'eo and Tapu? Watched an episode of UWA from '76 and there's a tagteam called "The Islanders" and one member is referred to as "Islander Afa". So this doesn't cloud the issue whatsoever. Episode downloaded. I'll listen tomorrow. Loving Podcast Addict so far.
  10. I went with Podcast Addict as it added my Patreon RSS feeds without an issue and it was able to find The Winter Palace and Shut Up And Wrestle as well.
  11. I always appreciate the heads up because your pod is one I always look forward to. Google Pods was the perfect app because it was stable and never crashed. First world probs I guess.
  12. With Google "sunsetting"(the new term for axing/86ing) Google Podcasts in favor of Youtube Music the search for a new podcast app led me to trying YT Music. Certain podcasts(The Winter Palace, Shut Up & Wrestle, The Wayback) aren't showing up in the search function. I considered using Amazon Music but they don't let you add RSS feeds(which I wanted to do for some Patreon content), so I stuck with YTM, but it lacked the feature of being able to mark an episode as being played, so I'm going with a combination of using Amazon Music for everything except for the Patreon stuff and The Winter Palace. As for SUAW I'm just using the pod's website to listen to it.
  13. Finished the latest season of Inside No. 9 and started Psychoville. It definitely catches your attention.
  14. Dick The Bruiser on Letterman in 1980 and getting no sold by either Edie McClurg or her stunt double. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnEF61sj5ks&t=598s
  15. Nick Gage is the subject of this week's Crime In Sports.
  16. Watched the Road House reboot and it was what it was. Perfect time passer for watching out of the corner of your eye while doing other stuff. The best part was probably the music. Destroy All Neighbors on the other hand is a hell of a lot of silly fun. It doesn't hurt that they keep the running time short.
  17. Watched Tenebrae for the first time. It was really good.
  18. Been here over twenty years, it's been paid off for fifteen years and property taxes are $40/yr., so putting money into improvements are well worth it. Also moving sucks and no drive by's in the time here. All it took was one in eighty plus years of the old house being in the family to pull up stakes and GTFO South Bend.
  19. A week ago I noticed some anomalies with the water supply. Turns out it was two separate leaks. I'm not one for messing with plumbing or electricity. The first leak was fixed on Monday. The second on Wednesday. Fixing the first revealed the second. Since the house is 40+ years old and the water lines(Quest) are obsolete any sort of repair requires some splicing. All is well for now. The next step would be a "repiping"(which would modernize the plumbing, but it's not cheap) and then everything would be good to go.
  20. I'd add in Permanent Record. Of the six you listed the only one I didn't like was FBDO. Then again I'm the weirdo that preferred Losing It to Risky Business as well.
  21. Watching one of his '79 face turn promos I couldn't help but get a Sally Field vibe from Ole. "You like me! You really like me!"
  22. Oops. It was still pretty damned good.
  23. Just watched my third John Cassavettes movie since the middle of the week. Mikey and Nicky(being the third of them) is really good. The Killing of a Chinese Bookie was the first. They all have a mid-late 70's vibe and an air of grittiness to them,
