I think because ‘the Monday night ratings war’ is such a big piece of the WWE success narrative that has been hammered into our heads for going on 20 years, and with so many fans now watching having never been around for it originally, it seems those fans are projecting a weird amount of importance and emphasis on it to try and create a buzz that isn’t there

The legendary Bass Reeves getting a shout out at the beginning of Watchmen was not what I expected! And yeah, my immediate reaction was 'how have they not made a biopic about him yet?' so to hear this is a bit disconcerting haha. I enjoyed the pilot but found it a bit all over the place and somewhat confusing in tone and storytelling... which I suppose makes it a good follow up to the comic! My missus, who hasn't read it, was very confused by the squid shower. I popped for it as I never thought there'd be ongoing issues regarding the 'alien invasion'. I wish I'd not read your Ozymandias/Manhattan theories however, makes a lot of sense ?

Lacey Evans is money no matter which way you look at it. I can't fault her in-ring work when she's only been going for three years NXT proper.

My point was more that it needed a consistent tone and only one director should have been in charge of delivering that. In some ways I suppose Kathleen Kennedy should be responsible for that so we'll wait and see...

I feel ya, I think this is going to seem a bit jarring in following TLJ, and years down the line that film is going to stick out like a sore thumb. I wish they'd just opted to let JJ run the whole trilogy for a consistent tone (and I had no issues with Johnson's film FWIW)

For sure @Oyaji, I wasn't necessarily saying 'all promos are crap now' more that the lack of trust to just let people go out there and sell a match or feud on their own terms and with their own words has died a death. As a result the people reciting the words can't make you believe because they barely believe themselves

I picked up 2K19 a few months back having not played a wrestling games since Smackdown VS Raw 2006. I have enjoyed it for the most part but the weirdest thing for me? The designs or misc designs in CAW (like shapes etc) are the exact same ones from Smackdown Shut Your Mouth which came out on PS2 in about 2002. I couldn't believe it ?
