  1. I can't help but feel like it's a swerve and Rollins is gonna come right - like he has gone 'deep cover' with Evolution to get them off The Shield's back

  3. that was a perfectly booked match wasn't it. I can't remember if people shit on it but I thought it was great
  4. He was pushed pretty strongly when he had is cup of coffee in the WWF wasn't he? Or was that just by extension of the fact he was fueding with Bret? Literally the only exposure I've ever had to the guy
  5. Yeah wow, that would have been pretty cool. No way in hell he'd give up that Turner contract though
  6. I feel that this should be posted every month for eternity. Cracks me up every single time
  7. Dustin looks like Vampiro's clean brother
  8. has Cabana's podcast died a death with this sudden influx of 'name' wrestler podcasts?
  9. Oh man, how good would a Dusty/Hulk team have been at Summerslam 89?! Dusty face in-peril hot tag to Hogan would've popped HUGE. And the dancing/posedown at the end of the match would've been GLORIOUS
  10. I think Bo Dallas has said 'Yeah baby!' more times in his first two matches than a face on your average indie show. No mean feat
  11. I've spent a good three minutes laughing like a loon at that. I can't work out the physics of it or anything
  12. Pretty much sums it up, I used his reviews to read about things retroactively and he'd often fill in the blanks about what was happening backstage during the time too. Then JD Dunn did that, and was a better writer and reviewer, so I completely forgot about Scott Keith http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/dunn
  13. That CM Punk/Samoa Joe collection got me thinking - the 10 year anniversary is coming up. Now Punk is a free agent I wonder if him and Joe are gonna do anything? Even if it's just a Rocky/Apollo Creed "ding ding" in a barn somewhere
  14. So, the past couple of months have taught me that Prince Devitt is a cosplayer masquerading as a wrestler
  15. I always assumed it was more of a case of 'there's too much uncertainty here and I'm reading the writing on the wall so I'm jumping'. Flair didn't have that luxury as Turner would only buy JCP if Flair came with it IIRC
  16. With nostalgia misting my brain, I remember it being a really good comic. But all I can really remember is the Halloween Phantom reveal. The WWF one was equally nuts - I vividly remember Virgil fighting Ted Dibiase in his personal gym (with solid gold barbells) and the Nasty Boys fighting another team in the locker room
  17. Just stumbled across this and burst out laughing in the office.
  18. The first thing I think of when I remember those matches is Bulldog or Warlord running into the other person and not moving them. Then Gorilla saying "The irresistable force vs the immovable object."
  19. Yeah, I will hear no disparaging remarks about the Team Piper vs Team Flair match thank you. Man, Survivor Series 91 was a total rip-off wasn't it? So many card alterations
  20. Oh god, no revisionism on the Bulldog/Warlord matches please. They seemed to fued forever in the most pointless and boring bouts imaginable. The only good thing they were involved in was the Survivor Series 91 team match
  21. Well shoot, I didn't realise I had to provide references and footnotes. Jesus dude. http://www.magnetmagazine.com/2008/01/03/mark-lanegan-the-man-comes-around/ Go. Read. If you come back with a comment along the lines of 'well that's just journalistic conjecture" you can get fucked
