I like Jared, but I like Dinesh and Gilfoyle more. Particularly Gilfoyle exposing something dumb about laws and regulations. It's always weird to me to think that Gilfoyle was the super skinny geek friend from Freaks and Geeks.

Yes. Basically all of that. I think WWE would have been in a much better place at the top of the card if post-Shield breakup had that framework. Most of us have repeated that as well. People want to boo the shit out of Reigns. It's what feels natural. And then, after awhile, it's a given that Reigns would slowly turn face, which would be a far more successful way of turning him face than anything they've put the guy through. The problem is, it would require creative to abandon the "push 1 guy" mindset and it would require them to actually feel their audience. Most of the time, they're so out of touch that they can't even do a mediocre job of manipulating the audience. We've also talked about why a good promoter gets you to buy into what they're selling, but Vince and creative have nearly lost the ability to successfully manipulate the audience. I think a lot of that comes from their social media push and the creation of the "WWE Universe." You can't suddenly give your audience a voice and still control them, feeding them shit and expecting them to eat it. It's why they have to resort to doing stupid shit like muting crowds, which is only going to anger your audience even more.

I wanted to say that it felt like Dinesh and Gilfoyle had fewer b-stories this year, but I don't think that's true. I think they had a b-story in each episode, but it wasn't as good as it was in past seasons, or just not as memorable. Season 5 needs more Dinesh and Gilfoyle, less of Jared and less of Richard being a dick.

Wow. That Veep finale. Ended with a whimper instead of a bang. I think my favorite moment was Gary's meltdown, with Mike and Dan recording it. That was amazing. I also kept waiting for Selena to appear more human. Silicon Valley I think I enjoyed more. It was a very up and down season and they abandoned exposing something stupid about America's laws, rules, and regulations for about half of the season. That said, I was pumping my fist over the reveal of the Pied Piper buyer. Plus, the last 3 or 4 episodes were some of TJ Miller's best work. As usual, the finale looks like Richard and the team were victorious, but there's definitely some shit looming. I mean, did I misinterpret the ending, or was the issue about the shares not a joke? It really seemed like Erlich was going to hold that over Richard's head. Still not sure how I feel about them abandoning the platform, but maybe they haven't. All the issues of the platform could have been resolved by explaining how Pied Piper works in the simplest of terms.

It's incredible. What has happened to education that made people so stupid? Is it because I'm now a responsible adult in my mid 30s and I think the younger generation is too dumb, just like my parents' generation thought about us? Or has general education declined to such a point that the vast majority of the population is ignorant to their actions and thinks they'll be coddled and can receive do-overs? I also realize that 18-30 year olds were in the majority for voting to remain, but I'm just having such a hard time understanding just how this could happen. Here's to hoping for a do-over I guess.

Given that this is WWE, I'm guesing they don't mention Roman's absence at all and fans will be even more pissed when he returns. Given that Vince and creative are on a death spiral of shitty booking, I wouldn't be surprised if Roman then wins the title. If that's the course of events, would it rival the fingerpoke of doom?
