  1. So those people with the flags that say "JAGUARS" on it had the R in front of the A and my mom was laughing loud and proud. Teachers are the best.
  2. Ziggler taking that bump on the exploder is fucking ridiculous.
  3. Eddy seems like a shoe-in. Foley could be up there. Like Scorp, but I haven't seen as much of him to put him up there. Bret for sure. Jericho might be an interesting guy in the discussion. Dustin had an awesome first half of the decade but didn't do much when he went to the WWF. That being said, his first half is a lot better than almost anyone else's full decade. Austin and Michaels deserve to be in there, too, along with Bulldog and Owen. One guy I'll throw out there is Waltman, who was a really steady guy for a lot of the decade before falling off a cliff.
  4. I've been an announcer for almost 10 years now and I'm pretty sure I can talk circles around Tony Dawson. How that guy has a job is beyond me. I'm firmly behind Bo, now. He has hit the jackpot with this gimmick. Sami was great again.
  5. What was it that Denny Green said that one time? ROMO~!
  6. God, shows like tonight just reaffirm my love for this program. The comedy mixed tag was great. Santino was on point and Fandango stooged like a badass. The Cass/Enzo promo was awesome. Them going after the belts is going to be money. Ohno's in better shape for sure. Had to fall to Harper for obvious reasons, but if he and Cesaro cross paths, a KOW reunion might be his ticket to the main roster. Tag match was fine, although the difference between Graves and Neville is huge at this point. Graves seems like he needs to take a turn at some point because his character is so dull. Loved the Bo invitational. Won't spoil the end so that people watch it (although if you've kept up, it's pretty obvious what will happen, and it'll still rule) but it was another great way to end the show. No joke, this shit is like Florida TV in the 80's. Ascension is a way tamer version of Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness now that the Wyatts are gone. Bo Dallas is OBVIOUSLY Mike Graham. I guess Xavier Woods is the skinny version of Dusty?
  7. Atlanta's red zone woes are coming back to bite them in the ass.
  8. Liked the Tag Team turmoil. Once again, Enzo and Big Cass are a license to print money. Big Cass looked awesome. Tyler Breeze reaching for a tag only to see CJ run into the finish was fantastic. Loved the segment to set up CJ and Tyler tagging up, as Maddox was on point. Scott Dawson FINALLY busted out the spinebuster after weeks of being called an Arn Anderson clone, so there was that. Fuck The Ascension, though. The gimmick has run its course. Aidan English is also a license to print money. Two matches in and the crowd has the chants down. NXT rules. Ricardo can go. I want to see more El Local. Bo Dallas really does a good job of hamming it up. Also, welcome back, Ohno. But is he in shape??????? If JBL as the new commish leads to some type of Florida/Texas Rhodes feud, I'll lose my shit. HHH saying "Actually, yes" to the crowd was awesome. This is worth all the Hulu Plus right here.
  9. ...what the fuck has this thread devolved into?
  10. I'm still trying to figure out a couple of the throws Eli made. Like someone put in a glitch where he would see Cowboy's uniforms in Giants colors or something. Not that I mind.
  11. CHECK OUT THE OWNER'S PACKAGE, BROTHER!
  12. Sucks that the Raiders couldn't pull it out. Until I remembered they were the Raiders. Then I accepted it. I can't wait for the second half of the 49ers game. It's gonna be ugly in the first 30. Second half will be way more exciting.
  13. Yeah, the whole timing thing is bullshit. They did fine with a year build for Rock/Cena and they've done well with smaller feuds that last only weeks.
  14. It's going to be a schmozz, but it's going to lead to something either that night or the next night on RAW that sets up something big. In fact, to Dylan's point, I almost see Vince as the guy who puts all this shit to rest at some point, letting Cody get reinstated, letting Show run wild, etc. I didn't think the ending tonight was "good" per se, but it's not horrible. It advances the story. It's Bryan going basically five against one. It's going to change. There's still a lot of good here.
  15. I'm still wanting to hear what people wish would happen instead with the Bryan angle. Because while there is a lot of bitching going on in this thread, I'm not really seeing too much in the way of, "Well, they should do this instead." Do you guys get how this works? You want Bryan to get over on HHH during a random Monday Night RAW? You want him to win the title during his chase on the 11th most important PPV of the year? You don't want him to win when it matters the most? He's not getting buried. The roster is not getting emasculated. It's a slow burn. Bryan should be booked weak right now because everything is against him. There will be something happening sometime, possibly at NOC, where it'll let him get a bit closer to a finally overcoming these odds. Or something on a RAW. And slowly, it turns against the establishment and in Bryan's favor. And then on a big show, Bryan will overcome the odds and it'll make him a bigger star than he is right now. And hopefully it's at WrestleMania. There's always going to be stuff to criticize because we look closer than anyone at all this, but it's getting ridiculous at this point. You guys know how a movie or serialized TV works. Even the smallest things that don't look like they matter...they get mentioned because it usually means something big in the end. Nothing gets mentioned if it's not going to matter to the story. So then when it happens, they can go back to it and say, "Ohhhhhhhh! That's right." That's how a good story gets told. This doesn't need to be told in a month for it to be good. I guarantee if people were watching Flair in '89 against Funk at GAB and this board existed, there would be people thinking he should have dropped the belt because they should have played up the neck injury more and let Funk cheat to win. Instead, they let that thing burn for five months and drew huge over the time. And Flair never dropped the belt. This can work even if Bryan doesn't win the belt. And then when he does, it's gonna mean that much more. The bullshit about it not happening fast enough is people being short sighted and seeing this in a one month or two month time span. And it's because of what happened with Punk and whatever else people want to bring up. This isn't the biggest act since Hulk Hogan getting over on a non-wrestling boss, three retired flunkies and some renegade son. This is a guy who is on the cusp of superstardom getting held down by someone who has shown he's still a force and the most dominant group in the company. Something will happen soon that will tilt the odds in Bryan's favor. Just sit back and wait until it happens.
  16. Regal on Enzo Amore: "He's like an electrified ferret, isn't he?" I love Enzo and Big Cass. It's like a nouveau FBI. It's a license to print money.
  17. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9588366/view/full/an-interview-wwe-superstar-corporate-officer-triple-h Suffice to say, it's an interesting piece of work.
  18. I wanna know what everyone on here who didn't like the angle wanted to happen instead tonight. Because I guarantee you it's as farfetched as anything that will be said on this board. Sit back, watch things unfold, don't speculate. If you get angry, get angry if Bryan doesn't get his revenge at the end. Because honestly, this micromanaging by a bunch of armchair bookers is pretty bonkers. This wasn't a burial or anything close to it. This was, as was Punk dealing with Heyman last night, a guy blinded by anger who is not seeing things straight and, until he does, won't be able to do what he needs to do in order to be successful. That simple. Don't understand how people can't see it.
