  1. So which would you rather sit through, Santa with Muscles or Hogan's self produced bio?
  2. ^ Too bad he wasn't doing that back when ROH printed all those shirts that said CM Punk Better Then You on them.
  3. This whole long drawn out drama has been such a farce. Everything about it is wrong, the players who possibly cheated, the commissioner who cannot lead, the press that presents its own pristine narrative. When the World Series gets clobbered in the ratings this year and the Yankees can freely splurge again while hopeless teams like the Orioles and Indians keep on going nowhere, what will the excuses be then? I do not like Alex Rodriguez but I hope he dismantles Selig and the MLB in court. It would be all so enjoyable. He'll probably just agree to some lesser sentence.
  4. I wish they would go back to the brand split, or maybe keep the champions as the only real ones on both shows. Smackdown is now a complete afterthough, all the big stuff happens live on Raw. Would help to develop mid-carders too. Are they going to keep the WWE championship and the World Heavyweight championship as some sort of B-level belt, with the IC and US belts as the C-List championships? Just too many titles for casual fans I think.
  5. Yeah but try explaining that to WWE creative. We all know this but they either don't/don't care. That's why they had the belt on other people from MitB 2011 to Mania this year? Right now its supposed to be all about Cena's redemption. Whatever that is. The whole point of keeping the belt from him for so long was to lead to this, him beating Rock at Wrestlemania in their rematch and holding the title for a long reign. Bryan winning is so obvious here or Orton cashing in, I just do not see them doing it. I think Cena keeps it until Survivor Series in Boston. Because its his hometown so Orton/Vince screwing him there works. Hasn't it been said that the McMahons are on TV more because the network wants them there? I hadn't heard about the network wanting the McMahons on there. Makes sense, still is annoying. If the network is insisting at least there is an explanation.

  7. I think the thing that has killed ROH has been Evolve and TNA locking up their rosters and ROH not flying guys in anymore. I feel like current PWG is more akin to what kind of roster ROH would sport, with a few differences, if they didn't have TV and "exclusive" contracts. No way the Young Bucks are a "special attraction" if not for contracts. The booking of the roster they have is unfocused. Tomorrow is supposed to be a big show, they have KUSHIDA coming in and Forever Hooligans/American Wolves yet it feels so unimportant because it is not the TV show. It is like when they did the PPVs and everything seemed pointed towards that. Kills interest in every other show.
  8. Before I read up on indys and had figured out the internet~! I watched Velocity all the time. I really liked Paul London and Spanky, that was the only place I could see them. The Heyman years on Smackdown were fantastic. I still remember Edge-Eddie No DQ and he Edge/Mysterio vs Angle/Benoit 2/3 falls match. Lesnar belly to belly suplexing Shannon Moore from the ring straight to the floor, just killing guys left and right. Good times. I probably forgot all the crap though. Mordecai... 2005 was when I really started to get into ROH. Probably about where they really caught fire there for a few years.
  9. I doubt Bryan beats Cena. He is keeping that belt for a while. Who else moves nearly as much merchandise? I can see some sort of scenario play out with Orton/Vince. For my own sake I wish they wouldn't insist on another McMahon family power struggle. I know, I know, the seven year rule has passed. But please, just don't make me have to watch their awful vignettes to follow Bryan/Cena/Orton. Please!
  10. That and he got made just another one of Jarrett's lackeys, like with AMW. Monty Brown was one of those perfect wrestling personalities. Over the top but enjoyably so.
  11. On a more positive note, Joseph Park/Eric Young are the only really enjoyable characters on the show. The comedy routine is good, they make the best of whatever stupid stuff they are given. "I'm a scientist, I shot a rocket." Park is over with the crowd. I really want to rip on the August 1 some more but I know they had to promote it on short notice and because Spike wants to push Bellator. Its probably for the best it started last week since it fell flat immediately. At least it wasn't one of those long drawn out months long hype packages that built up unattainable expectations. If Spike/Viacom is paying his salary I guess it doesn't matter. It is not like the time wasted on Tito/Rampage/MEM/A&8s/Hogan would have been put to any use. I know it is months away but what can we really expect right now for Bound for Glory? I assume Bully wins the belt back in two weeks? Will Jeff Hardy continue to inexplicably pick up wins? Does TJ Perkins keep wearing a stupid costume? Will I care anymore than I do now about any of this?
  12. http://www.christianwrestling.com/ I really don't understand how this works. Somehow my parents told me about this and I really don't understand this. Although God is a former WWE superstar and all...
  13. So how much is Meltzer gonna lose it over this? Now he can mix his MMA coverage with his wrestling coverage, just blend it into one huge article every issue.
  14. I feel like we get some stupid angle where Ortiz takes out Rampage backstage so he doesn't have to actually wrestle and help give the A&8s heat in their match. Maybe.
  15. I read somewhere it is Davey Richards. TNA is about to get intense. And who knew Davey prefered gold ol' VHS to this modern digital wooha?
