  1. I just finished reading Ready Player One about a week ago and umm...I envisioned a beefier narrator/lead/protagionst.
  2. I'm waiting on Hayward's article on the Players' Tribune before I believe anything. Okay, just the headline on the article, but you get what I'm saying. "The Jazz Scene in Utah really isn't that Great" By Gordon Hayward
  3. I don't think I even put All Eyez On Me in the top 5 on my RT list but just as SKos said, it was still too high and not enough people put it on their list for me to get any benefit from it. It could be worse. At least no one compared it to Get Out on the movie sites. I think I put Baby Driver at the bottom of my box office list....and I just came back from seeing it. I'm working backwards yall. Fun movie.
  4. What do Utah, Boston, and Miami have in common?
  5. You're talking about the creative side again, which I already acknowledge was a mistake to apply to the critical response. Quality definitely changes with different director/creative teams behind each film. I agree. Nothing new there. Notorious, Straight Outta Compton, and All Eyez on Me are going to be linked though; at least box office wise. I don't even have to Google one Deadline article to know it's opening box office was somehow related back to Straight Outta Compton. It'll be the same when Spider-Man: Homecoming is release and it's compared to a totally unrelated superhero movie opening. Hollywood puts genres in box office trends. Most people didn't even put All Eyez on Me on their list so....yeah.
  6. Oh man. Dion Waiters as a Laker is what we need. Not what we deserve. Too much funny potential. No matter the outcome. Needs to happen.
  7. Eh. I was wrong about the critics, especially since the creative teams were clearly different; again didn't research the background beyond the movie trailer this time. I don't agree with your "totally unrelated" films claim. I should have applied my thoughts between the two toward the opening weekend box office returns, not the critical response. Both films opened well (All Eyez on Me has died since its opening weekend) and I'm sure there was a good amount of audience intersect between the two films.
  8. I usually overdo it with research with this game but this time I winged it more than usually to get Guardians in. Dont have any excuses for All Eyez. I thought the trailer wasnt good at all, but I still put it inbetween because I thought it might get the NWA bio love. Pirates' 29 percent being almost a moderate RT grade says a lot.
  9. I had Guardians at number one on the box office and Baby Driver at number one on RT. Not even top 5. This is turning into Jordan coming out of retirement....the Wiz years.
  10. But LOST.. I'm watching regardless. I hope it's a series. It'll be interesting at the very least.
  11. I'm not sure how I feel about the offseason already being more intriguing than the 1st and 2nd round of the playoffs.
  12. Baywatch is on pace more than the Aliens movie, I believe. Did not expect that outcome. The Mummy reboot being terrible? Expected, but it sounds as if it's going get a worse grade than Transformer 6.
  13. I think Kevin Love has been the Cavs 2nd most consistent player in these playoffs. Outside 2 or 4 games where Kyrie just took over offensively, I dare say he's been the Cavs second best player without looking at the numbers to verify. Unlike Kyrie, he can actually contribute in other ways when he's not shooting well like yesterday. That said, they are both liabilities on defense against the Warriors and injury prone. Lebron isn't getting any younger and fair or foul, Kevin Love is never going to win the Kyrie vs. Love trade debate in the public for a couple of reasons. I'll be interested in seeing if the Cavs are going to try to make a wild move in this offseason after this series ends.
  14. This is why I said game 3 would be the most entertaining and the Warriors would still likely win. The Cavs' guys can't hit threes better than these Warriors.
  15. Minus the Kawhi Leonard injury game, which was an entertaining comeback imo for a bit in the 4th. I just like to see this Warriors team in a close 4th quarter game against a healthy opponent with legit offensive weapons. The Cavs in Game 3 will likely be the best chance so far to see the Warriors face a little adversary near the end of a playoff game.
  16. Eh. My definition of entertaining in that context was a closer game in the 4th. Your mileage may vary.
  17. I haven't watched a complete game yet partly because, as I said all season, if this incarnation of the Warriors is healthy, they shouldn't lose any series this season. I'm definitely rooting for the Cavs to win it but I'm not blind and I've seen the Cavs defense against lesser teams. Not good enough. I will tune into game 3 because if the Cavs reserves(and TT/JR) are ever going to play above their averages it's likely going to be a home game. Also, refs are human and I think the refs are more likely to favor the home team especially if the home team plays with energy their 1st game back. Take all the advantages you can get at this point. Warriors should still win though. Just hopefully in more entertaining fashion.
  18. Thrice in a Lifetime. This is the Warriors Finals to lose but I hope the Cavs grab one of the 1st two to make things interesting.
  19. Everyone should read the Roger Moore fan encounter story linked above in Niko's post. Many people meet their heroes or just someone they admire, and the person fails to live up to your ideals or lofty expectations of them. Mr. Moore exceeded expectations both times and I am envious of Marc Haynes.
  20. This might get better reviews than I thought...
  21. Do we have a Master of None thread? The episode called First Date from the new season encompasses what dating life has become since we started using dating apps. It's great.
  22. Even if the Spurs had won the game with an injury free Kawhi playing every minute, I would still have the Warriors winning the series. That said, not having Kawhi out there clearly hurt them especially during the last 5 minutes of a close game. If he's done for another game then it's not even debatable. Series done.
  23. Kawhi is out so things aren't looking good for the Spurs. Once again the Warriors dodge an injury bullet.
  24. The critics won't like Transformers and Pirates part whatever. Those two flicks will be scored rotten. As close to a lock as you can get in this game. I actually really enjoyed the first Pirates movie once upon time, but its time has passed. I want Wonder Woman to do well. I don't want Hollywood holding it as their go to example to not make female lead action movies. Was Dark Tower the movie most people avoided and left off their lists?
