I see "chuffed" used a lot, but I always have to stop and think if it's positive or negative. For some reason, it feels like a negative term to my brain. I am a fan of the extra 'u' in the British spelling of certain words. It's fancy. We need more fancy words.

Being the dim American that I am, I had to check that "chuffed" was good. The first time I read it, I thought it was bad and was confused. Why is Natural mad at himself? That all seems great. Keep it up, man!

I think, at least once a day, I look at our cat and say, "What the fuck are you even trying to do?"

So much to love here. I never knew Sawyer, Sullivan and Foley had a faction. Slaughterhouse is a great name! I really wish they'd had a long run together. Zan Panzer is from "the Continent of Europe". Ok. I forgot about Crockett's short-lived partnership with Roos shoes. Buzz's splash out-superflies Superfly's. Love the DQ. Makes perfect sense and gets Sawyer/Sullivan over as psychos who don't care about winning or losing. They just want to hurt people. And, goddamn! Sullivan has to choke Buzz with a chain to get him off the jobber! And then, the cherry on top: the post-match promo. Jesus. This is an all-time great pro wrestling segment. I don't know how I've never seen this. Thanks, @J.T.!

When Matt Jackson hits the locomotive Northern Lights suplexes on Satnam, turn down the volume on your tv and listen real closely. You hear that popping sound? That was @just drew's head exploding.

Based on nothing but my own speculation, I have to wonder if they were originally supposed to win the titles in that ladder match where Dante got injured. If they had to call an audible and went with Lucha Bros, that might explain why they didn't defend them very much. Maybe made the call without knowing their upcoming availability too much. Who knows?

For the record, I do realize that pro wrestler heights/weights are some of the most unreliable numbers in existence. I just got curious after all of the discussion here and looked both guys up. The results were too funny not to share.

Finished Steven Soderbergh's series, Full Circle on Max last night. Very good show. It all centers around this botched kidnapping and then has many, many ripples of all the people it touches. Some really great performances (including Jim Gaffigan playing a guy that's kind of a dick). I'd recommend. I also watched the first two episodes of Hijack with Idris Elba. Very cool, very tense series about a (duh) hijacking. I'm hooked after those two episodes. Looking forward to see where it goes.

I'm not a Cole fan by any means, but I'm also not at the level of some here in disliking him (I mean, no one is), but I do feel like the guy has a pretty decent excuse if he's been rusty lately. I really can't imagine the mental toll it took on him when he was out and it looked like his career was over. Also, I wouldn't think he was able to train much at all when he was out. It's actually pretty smart that they've had him doing these schtick-heavy tag matches with MJF. I think maybe the Jericho match showed that he wasn't ready for full-on singles matches. Although, I did think his draw with MJF was better than I expected, so who knows? Anyway, before I go, I just want to be a little bit of a dick and leave this down here:

Little man was pissed that Cole/MJF lost, so he immediately fired up Fight Forever and played as them to beat FTR for the titles.

We're literally more than a full month out from the show. Edit: Ok, not more than 30 days, but still over four weeks out.

I mean, I'm not super excited about Jericho/Osprey, but I'm assuming there'll be other matches on the card, right?

When I first moved to Lousiville in '05, Mordecai and some other OVW guys (the Tolans and Daniel Pruder) lived in my apartment complex. In fact, we signed our lease with his then-fiance. One summer, a few days after 4th of July, some jackass was lighting off fireworks way too late in the evening. Mordecai's (sorry, can't recall his real name) fiance/wife/whatever went out to tell them to knock it off. I'm seeing this from my balcony on the second floor. The fireworks guy is drunk and starts giving her a hard time. Then Mordecai comes around the corner. Now, he wasn't a huge guy for a wrestler, but he's normal-people huge. The drunk guy shut up really quick and gathered up his fireworks and left.

I just caught up on season 3 of Gemstones today. Whoever said here that it's low-key one of the best action shows on tv is right. They put together some crazy-ass sequences.

I think she's been doing Spanish commentary. At least, she did for a while. Not sure if it's been a regular thing. Also, pretty sure they created the show because Warner Discovery wanted more content from them.

Total exhibition matches are tracked in one of the challenges, but for Owen, you have to have 100 normal exhibition matches. The challenge counts all of them. That threw me off because I kept checking that and was over 100, but no Owen.

@John E. Dynamite I’m not saying Bailey hurts people with the move. I was just so impressed that I couldn’t “see the strings” even up close. You have to figure if pretty much everyone he faces takes it, it must be fine.

I was a ringside cam for a Bailey match where he hit it. It was incredible seeing it up close. I don't, for the life of me, know how someone takes that safely.

Personally, I put less emphasis on age. There are simply some people that can coach and others that can't. Talent at your given professions does not equal being a good coach. In fact, often times, those who are best at something have the hardest time showing others how to do it. They just do it. I don't know which category Bret falls into since he's never really had a run at coaching.

Do they not tape ROH before Collision? I only ask because I have tickets for Collision next month and the start time is listed as 6.

Did you go into the store and buy him? The hidden characters don't just show up in the roster. You have to go in and purchase them to add them.

Has Baker been hurt lately or something? She has just looked off in the ring lately. Not that she was ever a particularly smooth wrestler, but she seems to have regressed quite a bit recently.

I think "but shit happened" may be the most succinct description of the fall of WCW I've ever heard.
