  1. It's worrying when the Vince Effect of "smaller = not credible" is actually an opinion held by some wrestling fans. After a good 15 minute match (or around there), O'Reilly & Fish still can't beat up Young & Wolfe (and one of the guys from AoP, who only really got a kick to the head while he was on the mat). Adam Cole, O'Reilly & Fish can't beat down McIntyre because he's really tall and musclar? Despite having been in a really long match beforehand and was attacked from behind? I also don't agree that any of the three look like "security guards from a RAW main event angle". That's Johnny Gargano, and he was fighting the AoP on a regular basis a few months ago.
  2. Disney is paying the MLB because BAMTech is basically their property. BAMTech = Baseball Advanced Media Tech. WWE had to pay them to develop their network, so did HBO Now and even Disney for their standalone service and the ESPN spin-off.
  3. I'll add you guys, but weekday afternoons (except Friday) I'm in bed, since I work from 7:30pm to 6:30am Monday through Thursday. Sunday night/Monday morning I crammed in a few hours - did the main missions on Havarl, just have a few lingering side quests left now. Same with Eos and Voeld.
  4. Apparently David Tennant is coming back for S2 of Jessica Jones, according to EW. I'm excited.

    Twin Peaks

Well, Diane did say they had been estranged for years and she hated Janey-E, so it's entirely possible that Janey-E has gotten married and given birth within the time since her and Diane last spoke. I wondered that too, and that's what I'm chalking it up to since it's the easiest answer. I don't think that dude was suffering from a gunshot, he was communicating or something with the Girl with No Eyes and I'm pretty sure that puddle of liquid on the jail floor wasn't red, but a dark green/black color. He's labeled as Drunk in the credits, unless that's referring to the guy that Sarah Palmer MDK'd in that bar, so I'm going with the idea that he's from one of the Lodges or something. Plus, he kept repeating whatever Chad would say, kind of like what Dougie does.

    Twin Peaks

Janey-E being Diane's half-sister really feels like one of those storytelling decisions that seems cliche and like a soap opera. But that's what Twin Peaks originally was anyway, so I don't know. I'm on the fence about that one. Sarah Palmer being a conduit for Black Lodge forces makes perfect sense if you think about it. I want to know more about the jail cell scene, personally. What was up with "Drunk" guy? Was that garmonbozia (like DoppleCoop in one of the first few episodes, vomiting it out) or blood that was coming out of his mouth? I know the Lady with No Eyes was in Episode 3, but what's her significance to all of this? And why is the Giant now called the Fireman? Only four more episodes and there's still not enough time to answer all these questions and wrap up everything, even if the season (series?) finale is 2 hours long. Every week I'm more convinced that Showtime has already greenlit S4, but they're just playing dumb in the press until the finale.
  7. Completed most of the missions on Voeld, besides the one from Peebee that I didn't notice until I get back on my ship and checked my email. Still have to clear out the Kett from the planet, I guess, but that's my 2nd world down. I've played this game for like, 6 hours a day so far this weekend and it feels like I've done a lot but that's only the second world that I've been on with missions. So far, so good. Hopefully this doesn't go the way of ME3 and be finished in another 6 hours.
  8. Does the picture cut off the rest of the magazine, or does it really not refer to Jessica Jones aka the best Netflix Marvel show???
  9. Xbox One, and eventually I'll do multiplayer probably. I'm more of a campaign oriented player, but if the online crew here is active enough on the weekends I could be talked into joining.
  10. I just started this last night. Completed the Eos mission, got to the next world... and now I'm left wondering why Mass Effect is crossing over with Avatar.
  11. First look at Josh Brolin as Cable, straight from Ryan Reynolds' Twitter:
  12. I enjoy fantasy booking XWF with EWR. They had a roster with a nice mix of talent, old and new. It's a weird mix of WCW, and TNA before it even existed. Absolutely a snapshot of that moment in time for wrestling, too.
  13. Yeahhhhh... you're going to be waiting until "Fall 2017" if you're playing on the Switch, according to their earnings' call yesterday. Keep in mind, the Xbox One/PS4 release date is already in October, so... "Fall".
  14. He's been on WWE television for 7, since he debuted on the main roster in 2010. But, yeah, employed by WWE for a decade.
  15. I was comparing prices on Highspots of their signed Keiji Mutoh 18x24 poster (FWIW eBay is cheaper), and holyyyyy shit, when did they start charging so much for shipping? One of the options is fuckin' $50, that's nuts.
  16. It'd be great if I could map the controls, too. Picking up weapons is such a hassle in the deathmatches. I end up blowing myself up instead of picking up a chair or kendo stick because the Y button that's used to run is also the pick up a weapon button.
  17. They really need to make it easier to delete edits in-game. Doing it one by one takes at least two hours if you have a big roster.
  18. Joseph-Gordon Levitt deserves some serious props for how well he transformed for Snowden. Maybe the look wasn't down 100%, but his voice was just about dead-on and the mannerisms were too. Zachary Quinto was good as Glenn Greenwald, but his performance was dialed up to 11 at times which might be true about Glenn the person in reality, I don't know. For instance, that scene with Quinto, Wilkinson and Leo around the laptop felt out of place, mostly Quinto's Greenwald. Other than that... it's a fairly good movie representation of Snowden's career before and up to the NSA leaks. Knowing Snowden himself had some input and met with Oliver Stone multiple times makes me feel good at how things were presented, but some will say it's an obvious biased source for the story. But does anyone really want to see/hear the other side of the story, where Generals and high ranking government officials try to make us feel bad about someone stealing information that the public absolutely needs to know? It'd make for a great comedy, maybe. It's one of those films where it makes you think about the subject matter well after you've left the theater or turned the movie off, and that's exactly what this movie wants you to do. Which is a good thing, people are way too complacent about the government spying on the public and hold Obama in high regard... but that's a topic for another board, since we're barred from talking about politics here (hmmm). EDIT: By the way, if you haven't seen any of Laura Poitras' documentaries... do yourself a favor and watch them immediately. The hotel scenes in this movie are basically lifted from Citizenfour, mostly, and way more interesting in that film. If you have Showtime and OnDemand, her documentary about Julian Assange and Wikileaks called Risk is up right now - go watch it. I don't care for Assange and Wikileaks, personally, but she always delivers in her films.
  19. Lesnar already responded to Jones' call out: So, uh, I guess this is a thing that's going to happen next year then. Cool?
  20. Goddamnit. The high kick + trip + body shot + GnP was really nice, but I can't help but feel really bad for DC.
  21. Rogan being scared of the cellphones in the crowd right now is kind of funny.
