  1. Way to go Jericho. https://x.com/StephenPNew/status/1739329521357144240
  2. Everything that's happening today with Chris Jericho is very much a reflection of Tony Khan's poor leadership in handling what took place before and after AEW All Out 2022. Time for Bryan Danielson to send out some fines.
  3. Not bad for a guy who literally had his brain removed from his skull.
  4. The harm is the lack of identity for ROH, and the ROH brand diluting AEW because they don't know what to do with it.
  5. Adding a new ROH title is the last thing Tony Khan should be doing now, and it's merely going to consist of the women who can't get booked on Dynamite and Collision.
  6. Most Godzilla movies, especially the Hollywood ones, the human characters are garbage and you're just waiting for monsters to show up and fight. This one actually built a compelling human storyline and made the humans likable, tragic figures. Like the reason we love Jaws isn't because we want to see the shark eat people, it's because we care about Chief Brody, Quint, and everyone else.
  7. I have a feeling Kenny knew something was wrong and that's why he's not been doing as much lately. I hope he bounces back from this and takes all the time he needs to heal.
  8. No, it doesn't. It says one source claimed it was inaccurate. Also, PWInsider and Dave Meltzer on WOR both reported on the meeting as well. Well, that tidbit came from Dave Meltzer...so...? Also does CM Punk live there year-round? I thought Chicago was still his homebase. Provided he spent his money well, he could have homes all across the country. If that's even true, none of us have seen AEW's books or figures. Even if they are making more money now, are they breaking even? More revenue doesn't necessarily mean more profit.
  9. The only satisfying reveal just returned to WWE. Also, do these mystery attacker angles ever have a satisfying conclusion?
  10. Well, this is nish keet for AEW. https://www.hausofwrestling.com/2023/12/14/everything-we-know-about-rumored-wbd-wwe-talks-exclusive/
  11. All criticisms and nitpicks aside, enjoyable show tonight. The Continental Classic tournament continues to be a good showcase. I like the whole vibe of the tournament so far and the post-match interviews where you have the guys stewing in their losses or Danielson acting quietly intense while meditating. Nice touch on that Wardlow/Willie Mack match with having Wardlow walk away after that filthy powerbomb and not even waiting for the ring announcement. It was like the wrestling equivalent of a Mark Hunt walkoff KO. I hope Wardlow is getting back on track here and he's put on the path of Joe or MJF next.
  12. They need direction and to be able to wrestle more than one match per show.
  13. Herein lies the problem of having such a bloated roster. Lack of consistency with various angles. Guys appear then disappear for weeks. Tony Khan signed way too many people than he has the time or capacity to book. Then he needs ROH to handle the runoff.
  14. Overall, a solid show. I can't blame Nick Wayne's mom for turning on Adam Copeland. The man scrambled her son's brains in front of her. That's still her son at the end of the day. Not exactly what the internet is calling a "Russo swerve" because it actually made sense. Swerve is another step closer to winning the tournament and becoming world champion. Once he wins the tournament and world title, he will be a quadruple champion. The only bad feeling I have from the show is Tony Khan isn't going to figure out how to pay off the devil reveal. These long-term mystery angles almost never work or have a good payoff. Who drove the Hummer? Who ran over Steve Austin? The Black Scorpion. Who killed Vince McMahon? The Anonymous Raw GM. The Black Scorpion again.
  15. Fightful Select reported it was an angle for Danielson to work for the match and was pre-planned, and he's not hurt...more than he already is.

  17. Godzilla Minus One was probably my favorite movie of the year. It's a shockingly amazing movie at a budget of $15 million, far surpassing any American Godzilla movie. It's everything a Godzilla movie should be. I think the franchise really needed this reset. Shin Godzilla is a good movie, and I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but it's a political satire. The characters are very goofy at times, and I found Godzilla quite childlike in the film. In Godzilla Minus One, he's just a feral beast. He's pure terror, rage, and horror, and you deeply care about all the film's hero characters. This reset was exactly what the franchise needed since it brought Godzilla back to basics, and it made him scary again.
  18. IMHO, Money in the Bank and the briefcase itself is starting to become a problem. It's plain to see that Triple H doesn't like the briefcase and doesn't like Money in the Bank, and he'd rather not have Priest as the briefcase holder. Case in point, Priest had the perfect opportunity to cash in tonight, but he didn't do it. So Seth is the champion right now. You want Seth to remain champion, and Priest has the briefcase, so what the hell do you do with the briefcase now? Look what happened with Austin Theory. Also, if Seth is champion until WrestleMania 40, then what do you do with the briefcase? Triple H doesn't like to hotshot and he doesn't like quick title reigns or surprise title changes. He's a traditionalist. That makes the Money in the Bank briefcase a problem.
  19. Announcing the whole DCU slate before they finished releasing these other films was one of the most monumentally stupid moves ever.
  20. Therein lies the problem. You can't have a cohesive cinematic universe if the right-hand doesn't know what the left is doing.
  21. I look forward to Swerve winning the whole tournament and beating Danielson in the finals after what Danielson did to Eddie tonight. https://twitter.com/TrevorDame/status/1731146987796627592
  22. It symbolizes you won a grueling tournament with some of the top mat workers in the world. It's like competing in a decathlon or a Tuff Mudder.
  23. Swerve is winning the whole tournament, beating Danielson in the finals, and then he's becoming world champion.
  24. The Devil angle has now turned into Black Scorpion 2.0. https://twitter.com/RealBrittBaker/status/1730056548989174015 Swerve Strickland should just win the whole Continental Classic. Make it Swerve vs. Danielson in the finals.
