  1. Jim Neidhart isnt' doing anything much these days.
  2. Day after Elimination Chamber. Also, my birthday, but I'm in Canada so no birthday Network for me.
  3. The thing is, the TKO is basically an F5 into an RKO... so I'm not sure they'd want it floating around.
  4. I said it before, and I'll say it again. I love me some Above-Average Mike Sanders. Solid C+.
  5. Always amused when people say Lawler is/was a "decent" artist. Decent my fat ass- his drawings would've made him a star if the whole rassling thing hadn't panned out. Maybe if he'd taken some classes or devoted more time to it. He's a talented amateur, but his eyes are off, and that Sheiky is pretty bad.
  6. Cody has really grown on me over the years. But... I feel like he shouldn't be doing top-of-the-cage moonsaults at house shows. That's some Kurt Angle-esque career-shortening stuff there.
  7. Someone needs to steal that rotating cross body block. I've never seen the like.
  8. Albert Bernard Tensai (esquire) is one of those "wrong generation" wrestlers. He'd have been much better suited to the pre-Attitude era.
  9. Personally I agree with this. But I don't mind folks talking about what happened during those eras, hell, lots of times I learn something I didn't previously know from the people here. It hasn't been bad on this particular board, but I've read others who are bad about wanting the good ole days back. For example I had no idea Lita was in ECW She was Miss Congeniality, a valet for Danny Doring. He proposed to her at a random PPV & used a condom instead of a ring on her finger. She wasn't around for long. She also bit her toenails off on camera during a backstage segment. Don't ask why I remember that.
  10. Because people would quickly realize that they run the same show every night?
  11. Outside of developmental, did Batista and Lesnar ever wrestle each other? Because that is a face-off I'd like to see in the Rumble.
  12. Has anyone seen this movie? "A Jewish man falls in love with a wrestling princess and it's a "no holds barred" quest for her love." It has Joanie Laurer, April Hunter, and Don Frye in it. Wikipedia also lists music by "Connor O'Brien" but I'm guessing it's not the NXT one. I'm assuming from the cover art it's atrocious.
  13. That is not the best gif to be following up with a "barrel-chested guys" comment, given that by that point Harley was close to Christian-level pecs.
  14. I still think Santino is one of the better workers in the last 10 years. I would rather watch him do a lot of stupid shit only to get his head kicked da fuck off than watch a lot of whole other guys forced masturbatory "THIS. IS. AWESOME." chant inducing while proving "WE ARE REAL WRESTLERS" bullshit matches. When he isn't being an dumb ass, Santino has proven that he can work the motherfucking babyface role better just as good as anyone. Santino could have had legit (if short) main event runs twice in the last few years -- if they'd let him go over Alberto at the Rumble that one year, and if he'd gotten the upset over Bryan at the EC. The crowd was all in on him both times.
  15. Dude throws Cena off a third-floor balcony in issue #1. Air bill takes a whole new meaning.
  16. I picked up the new WWE comic today. The cover I got is hideous, but the art inside isn't bad. It's biggest flaw is the same flaw that plagues any comic based on real people -- some of the characters look like their real-life counterparts (Dean Ambrose in particular is spot on, for instance) and others don't look at all like they're supposed to. For instance, I thought Ryback was Justin Credible, and I'm still not sure who he puts through a car window at one point. For those of you who don't know about the comic, the first storyline (written by Mick Foley) recasts the WWE as "Titan City" and is a sort of gritty, neo-noir take on "What if the WWE were actually a city?" John Cena's a cop who spent the last year in jail after being framed for stealing money; Randy Orton and Alberto del Rio are running for DA while "The Authority" is really running things, CM Punk is a cryptoanarchist vigilante trying to "take back the city", Undertaker is... a tattoo artist? It's actually really clever, and if I understand the afterword correctly, with issue five they'll be doing a completely different take on the WWE, so it looks like a kind of Elseworlds type series that could be fun. Foley and his co-author are pretty good; the script is a little talky, but it's nowhere near Brian Michael Bendis levels in that regard, and I'm more engaged in this storyline than most anything that's actually on their weekly tv shows. If you already read comics, it could be worth the $3 to check it out. If you don't read comics, it won't make you change your mind. I'll probably be picking it up for a few months at least.
  17. It was the same three people every week. They were pitiful. "Goldberg, Goldberg. why is nobody else chanting. He is bald GOLDBERG!!! GOLDBERG!!!" Dang, I thought Deadheads were committed, but these three guys followed Raw around from week to week just to chant Goldberg? Shee-oot.
  18. "Ryback can't work 15 minute main events" but Luther Reigns can. Is this a gimmick post, or do you really think Horshu is in the Shield?
  19. I...I... how do you fill three discs with Ultimate Warrior? How? He had a few good matches but three discs... I mean even if one is a documentary and another is all promos... HOW? Warrior-Savage and Warrior-Hogan, what else am I missing that is worth seeing? Vs Andre? No way the WM12 match with HHH makes it on there. Warrior/Slaughter from Rumble '91 as well. The DVD summary says "featuring battles against the likes of Hogan, Jake Roberts, Slaughter, Rick Rude, and more" and also notes "over 7 hours of matches" Seven HOURS of Warrior matches? Good lord, that's got to require over 100 matches for him.
