  1. I got lots of love for the Bills so while it sucks seeing the Ravens lose I'm happy they lost to Buffalo. Now, for fuck's sake please beat the fuck out of the Chiefs!
  2. He was there until he got fired in April. If he shows up again it's likely as a one-off.
  3. Long story short I fell way behind on ROH and had to catch up from early July until last night. I skipped most matches thankfully got this done which is awesome. In watching all these episodes I thought I would be sick of ROH but the opposite was true. I fucking love ROH and damn near everything about it. Others can talk best commentators but damn if Ian and Caprice aren't my favorites. They're just two good friends talking wrestling and busting out references that make me go "Did they really?" Then there's the format which is a mix of Dark/Elevation and the ROH goodness to have something to fight for. For those pining for Dark/Elevation it's been here the whole damn time and it works. I know why people are turned off from this because it's a monthly fee to watch a mix of squash matches and stuff that hits the Worldwide point. I'm not saying it's worth it for everybody but I feel those complaining about how AEW is could stand to give ROH a try for a while. It might be what one is looking for.
  4. Ooooooooohhhh...... Well, carry on then. *sheepishly walks away* EDIT: OF COURSE this starts the next page.
  5. At the end it said it's coming out April 2nd this year.
  6. I'm a Ravens fan but have a soft spot for the Bills. So I'll be happy either way. If anything I'm more curious to see how far the Chiefs will go as there's gonna be exceptional teams in their way.
  7. This song choice also works really well since MVP is wrestling tonight for the first time in a couple years and he LOVES Yacht Rock.
  8. Watching the match I immediately thought "Man, Troma is losing his goddamn mind right now." That guy is gonna sell a shitton of those masks and I might be tempted to get one. The shirt looks pretty boss too though I personally wish it was in black. Glad to see you back and so damn happy about it all. This is gonna be fun.
  9. I don't like voting no as I still want to see how this all ends before giving full judgment on Death Riders. But right now they're kind of spinning wheels until Mox is dethroned. I still believe it'll be Darby and if he's doing Mt. Everest then they'll wait for him to come back so they can show the AEW flag up there and use that for billions of promos. I don't think I'm delusional to think that but that's the first possible ending that came to mind. Until I'm able to accurately predict the future (and the correct lotto numbers that make me a billionaire) looking at everything so far they could have done so much more. The beginning set the tone fine but there should have been more midcarders trying to stop them on a consistent basis. As for people in their own feuds they should have been asked about Death Riders so they can give reasons for why they either don't care (arrogant heel) or are too busy fighting somebody. Eventually things happened like Darby begging Ospreay to help but it was too little too late. This almost feels corny to say but instead of going all "Romper Stomper" they should have had a "Star Wars" blueprint instead. Mox would have been Darth Vader and the rest as generals reporting to him. He attacks when he wants to or he'll just order others to do his bidding and get out of there. I'm not saying to follow the movies or anything but if it led to Darby coming back from Mt. Everest and they ROTJ that into his win then it might have helped. I hate talking negative about a story they're playing the long game with. If anything I appreciate them sticking with it considering how many want it to end. I mean it could have been worse and one needs to see the Devil angle from 2023 to see how. I'm still hopeful it'll turn around later on but I guess we'll see what happens.
  10. Despite all that happened weather/traffic-wise I thought the crowd sounded pretty good and seemed to have a great time. And the show was pretty good to boot aside from Jericho seeming off for a fair amount of his match. It's crazy that they mentioned how Garcia had to change while getting a ride from the airport to the arena and he still had a really fun match with Shibata.
  11. I sensed with how Ospreay talked him up post-match Buddy's gonna have a go at a singles title relatively soon. Hopefully Brody too. I'm really sad Malakai left but his wife's in WWE and I can only imagine the chaos their different schedules bring.
  12. It's cool. I mainly check out the awesome song choice Dolfan picks, maybe first couple posts and that's about it. Unless I feel a need to say something else post-show I'm good.
  13. For the Final Fantasy fans why yes it sounds this way for a reason. My wife's a ton more familiar with FF than I am but that's pretty fucking awesome. The song itself is pretty nice though sounds a bit quiet for a wrestling theme hearing it last night. "Battle Cry" was much more suited for a live arena setting but I adore the fact that Kenny got them to do his theme.
  14. There was a beer recommendations thread from 2013 with the last post in 2022. Not sure if it's cool to bump up years-dead threads unless one wants to try a new one. At worst I could just create one on Discord.
  15. I'll have you know my friend loved that name so much if he ever does a politics section on his Discord he's using it. Gordi is living the best life, isn't he? I think some wrestling fans wish to have those connections like that with companies they love and he's out there doing it. That's really awesome, dude. As for me taking a month off of the AEW section of this board has been needed. I still find I want to largely stay away from the TV threads but hope they're not as negative as they have been. AEW has many faults but sometimes it's best to get away from it all, watch with ones own eyes and process it. I'm not saying it'll make you like or dislike AEW more but at least whatever you think is all you and not based off of what is said elsewhere. AEW is still really good, great even. I'm still as invested in them as I was day one and especially now I'm thankful they exist.
  16. Fletcher does an Orton tribute but manages to not make it an Orton tribute act. In doing that I think it's allowed him to slow down and really get a feel for how to interact with the crowd. Which he excelled at in Hammerstein especially against Garcia where they chanted "Randy". I'm not gonna get on whether Orton is a GOAT or anything but you can do a lot worse to pattern off of than him. Oh, and yeah his match against Shelton was aces.
  17. I don't get that impression at all even though I see why you think that. She's main evented a few of their PPVs and the minion stuff is the one most talked about when ROH is mentioned. I definitely see her as the anchor and feel she could ease into that on AEW proper with different people. Even without the minion stuff she's a helluva wrestler who kicks all kinds of ass so not sure what they wouldn't see in her.
  18. *record scratch* Eight years since their last match? Where the flying fuck has the time gone?! Anyway, I miss Kenny a lot so I'm really glad he's returning.
  19. With Guinness it's light ABV but it's a heavy stout that fills me up very quickly. I remember finding out it's surprisingly light on ABV and calories and it damn near blew my mind. Works out wonderfully as I can have a couple while watching a game and not feel as awful about my life choices. And because of all this I kind of want a Guinness now (just not the non-alcoholic version which is water and somehow tastes like soy sauce). That said I like Twiztor's mindset on light beers and that happened many a time when I was younger. I would like to point out though that while the mass-market light beers are generally crap the ones from independent breweries fit the mold and actually are full-bodied. Plus they generally actually taste great. The only thing with it is because the quality is better they're usually a little bit pricier. The only one that recently got near the price point was Heavy Seas with their Bodacious Blonde beer. It's light, taste great and is only a couple bucks over what you'd get for a similar pack of the mass-market stuff. So as not to stray too far from wrestling I point this out because 1. I like beer and should cut back for the sake of the calories it has and 2. All this smokes anything that Hogan beer is supposed to be. I feel somebody I know might get me to try this swill so I'm already thinking of a nice way to decline it.
  20. I'm just gonna put this in spoilers as it's me venting about WWE. I mean no ill will to those that love them and honestly I want to love them too. But anyway...
  21. OpenOffice has become a solid replacement that might be worth checking out. https://www.openoffice.org
  22. So the restaurant I was at was initially confused but once realizing it was Pierce of all people they erupted. That was easily my highlight of the game. Ravens fans love chanting that for a penalty they think was BS. After them doing it so many years I'm not surprised they finally found a way to deal with the chant.
  23. That's much better, thanks. Plus that skit's awesome. And sorry for reacting at it like that, time heals and all but that's still a sore spot.
  24. I get what you're saying and all but my father-in-law died from that so I'm not a fan of this line. Instead, how about these? -Colon overload -So many colons, so little time -Wow, look at all those colons! That aside considering how poorly received the Suicide Squad game was I don't think I would even consider it for free. But Stanley Parable is a fun one.
  25. I tuned in just in time to see things get batshit insane. Holy shit.
