  1. Whoops, double post. As a wrestling game, yeah I like it. It's the same engine as before, if you thought it was shit then it'll still be shit to you. There's less shit IMO so far, but if you REALLY want to find bugs I'm sure they're there. If you're able to play it somehow try it. Shit, Best Buy has had them on display sometimes. Kind of hard to knock the game when you haven't tried it yet.
  2. I'm quite happy with it so far. The expansion of the creation features (belt, arena, CAW, etc.) makes me happy. I like the rivalry option for Universe. It's only 3 per brand, but with enough creativity I can see this being a really awesome addition. The 30 years of WM section is really cool so far. Aside from little things like the F out of WWF and 2K's logo in the arena playing the early WM matches has been amazing. I normally buy the season pass right away, but am really up for just going through this to get everything. I'm much more excited to play through this than the Attitude mode last year. As for the Beat the Streak option, I decided to get squashed as Santino. To my surprise I had some consistent offense which was pleasantly surprising. That and I noticed DQ and countout was turned off meaning weapons were legal. I may or may not have spammed some weapon shots. Didn't matter as UT did one reversal, Tombstone and that was it for me. For being ridiculously cheap AI I had more fun that expected.
  3. 100 CAW slots? Well, that's just wonderful, now I can tinker with more companies and not have to worry. I wonder why they can't give us the option to just upload created items. Having to go through caws.ws is fine, but after the online fiascos in the past they should throw us a bone here. Going through the steps it's not that hard, but I feel we should have this option to begin with.
  4. That is strange, was going to post about tit last night watching out of morbid curiosity as well. I only saw half of the episode, but there were some rough spots. There was a moment or so where the lines between Finn and Corey were blurred and it was hard not to feel bad for them airing it out. It felt weird to feel bad for them grieving over a fake character. I think they shouldn't have done it though, at least not a whole episode. A normal episode then something at the end would have been fine. But doing a story for a whole episode is too much. I haven't seen any of last season and won't again really except for this episode. But man if they go back to normal that will be a little awkward.
  5. I think that might work out for him in the long run. If there are families that loved him but are leery of letting everybody hear it with the profanity then it might work out. If it bombs then maybe he'll go back to the way it was. Honestly it isn't that big a deal. The only thing I wonder is what about those 2-part interviews he does sometimes? Will they both be on Tuesdays now? If so I'm not so sure that's going to work out. Besides, if this gives him a way to admit he not only loved "Hustle and Flow" but sing "It's hard out here for a pimp" then I support this idea 1000%. Last Thursday had some really weird topics I never thought I'd hear him discuss. Haven't been on here in a while but the JR, Lawler and Flair interviews have been outstanding. The Flair one especially put a huge smile on my face. I'm really looking forward to Regal's interview as well. Hell, it was also pretty cool hearing him interview Samoa Joe.
  6. Aiden English is fucking amazing. The spotlight/singing gimmick is glorious is many ways. Gah, there's so many awesome talents it's hard to call favorites, but Aiden quickly became one of my favorites.
  7. I sense that DB will get screwed tomorrow. I was surprised that nobody came out after the win tonight to say anything. So if anything he'll hold the title for longer than he did last time. And for that at this point I'm really fucking happy. I know with the fast count I'll be annoyed tomorrow about the aftermath, but for now I'm really fucking happy. Good for DB.
  8. Well, shit thanks a ton for posting this. Going through the blog damn there's some great stuff on there. If WWE did an anime her drawing it would be pretty damn nifty. Oh, and I'm partial to this one of Savage and Liz: http://sailorswayze.tumblr.com/post/52363391447/i-dont-have-a-good-excuse-its-2am-and-i-just-have
  9. I think I have a reason to go back to Tumblr. I'm in awe of these.
  10. I enjoyed Smackdown. There were some good matches mixed in with some wackiness. Bray Wyatt is amazing. I understand that it's good for heels to be chickenshit cowards, but in his case him not being scared helps a lot. Fans see him like he's mental for not budging one bit. That and if he can scare the piss out of kids in the crowd then that's a really effective heel. I love it. I also loved the overbooked style of the no DQ match with Vince's epically ridiculous suit and HHH showing his ref skills. Maddox took the kendo stick shot like a champ, that was just tremendous. I think it did a good job hyping up the title match with all but Cena out there showing where they stand. Bonus points: I dug the guy in the front row by the ramp that had the sheep mask and bloody apron, that looked pretty cool.
  11. On the one hand I'm excited about the retro vibe they're going to go with. I always thought since last year they'd either go with this or WCW so this works for me. On the other hand I know it's not finalized but so far those graphics look like shit. I'm hoping in the two months until release that looks better. But I'm interested in who's in and even more interested in what they do to improve a lot of things. The gameplay as well as a lot of modes need refinement. And for fucks sake can we for once have online servers that are stable for more than the initial couple weeks? I was so hopeful when they were holding up at first only to go down the shitter. I know it was THQ to some degree but I'm not convinced this will improve until I see it over time.
  12. Thinking back to DVDR's social history, I'm not sure about Myspace but I remember DVDR had a group on Facebook. Didn't remember hearing much about that which is a shame. So far I think Twitter is going to be the best option for social sites. Unless you want to post random videos, gifs, photos, etc on Tumblr. But that doesn't really have much in the way of wrestling content. As for Twitter, I think we have a winner! The live tweets are amazing to follow. Even when catching up on DVR it's worth tracking them down and follow along.
  13. Looking at the nameplate I don't see his name as "Sebastian" No, I see it as "SEBASTIAN!!!!!!" The look on his face seeing Eva Marie was priceless. Plus him staring until he absolutely had to go elsewhere was awesome. Oh, man, sucks that's likely it for him but damn was that awesome. The episode felt episodic in a lot of ways. Bellas have problems, Trinity/Jon had problems, and Jojo/SEBASTIAN had problems. In the end we had two problems solved and all is well, then the third was solved in a "fuck this guy" sense. Next week, ANOTHER episodic episode with Nattie and Tyson going at it. Hmm...wonder what will happen at the end... All in all this show is just amazing. The way they cook up some wacky scenarios is hilarious. Oh, Trinity and Jon just HAPPEN to be facing each other. And it's when they're considering breaking up, oh my! It's awesome watching this slightly drunk, it really is.
  14. I love Hulu Plus so much. Aside from not having to rely on DVR for WWE shows it allows me to watch NXT (legally) and love the holy hell out of it. It really is the best WWE show on TV. I really feel that I'm watching the future of WWE. Whenever some of them get called up they're going to be great. The crowd like mentioned before is perfect for this. Looking at the roster I'd say that there are those that really need to be on WWE TV. Of course you have those like Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville, but can you imagine if they brought up Paige and Emma? If they cared to make the female division better have them do matches with women like Natalya and AJ. They're pretty but are very talented and are different enough to not fit the cookie cutter mold. Charlotte with more experience will be golden, though she's great already. Hell, Summer Rae can be a good opponent if they had her wrestle. And Sasha Banks is pretty good too. Put them at different times on the roster and I think things can only improve. As for Bo he's good in NXT but I have zero desire to see him called up. Just doesn't do anything for me, singing Journey and all. Leo Kruger is good but he will fare much better in NXT than he ever will being called up. I wouldn't be against the idea of Corey Graves being called up, I think he can do well.
  15. May I suggest you guys live (or tape delay) tweet Total Divas? Don't know why, but I suspect that would be a good time reading the tweets. Loving the account, very much enjoying the posts.
  16. The guests he gets on surprise me at times. The Little Egypt one came out of nowhere but man that was so much fun. And yeah, seeing that he has Helms and Joe booked could be really interesting interviews. Especially Joe, considering they never met Austin will have a lot of questions about the indies. Hearing his take on it will make for a very good interview. As for Hall I'm really glad he's doing a lot better. Hearing him talk about the business I feel that if he stays on this path he'd be a vital guy in the wrestling business. Then again, going back in it might tempt him to go to the dark side so if there's a risk for that then it's best not to. Either way he has such a tremendous mind for what works in wrestling.
  17. I am considering the Chromecast though wonder if I really need it. I recently got a 40" Samsung Smart TV that is flat out amazing. It has a good amount of apps like Youtube and all that. I also have the Galaxy S4 making putting my stuff on there rather easy. I'd need to see what else it offers past what I have already. For $35 I'll likely get it but not anytime soon. It would be nice if it would show any app I use on TV, but I think it's only for certain apps.
  18. Now, now, we all know with the use of "yaks" appropriate action needs to be taken. Here, allow me:
  19. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found that a bit odd. It was almost like a "Hey, I was just divorced, how you doing?" look which made me laugh. Oh, yeah the nut shot. That was amusing, surprised the kid got that far. Seemed like it took some time for anybody to get to him as he had a free shot.
  20. Oh, that was one of my favorites. Can't go wrong with Austin decreeing an 11th commandment, announce a diet that sounds hilarious, and what cavemen did for fun and what they likely invented. The Scott Hall interview was one of the most positive interviews I've heard in years. He sounds a billion times better than not even a year ago and I'm really happy to hear that. And Austin doing the GLOW rap? Oh, man, I need to check this out immediately.
  21. A big part of me is hoping we keep the creep down enough to prevent this thread from closing. Then there's the part of me that sees this thread destined to go the way of past threads about women. I'm still shocked that the female wrestler tournament and the female NXT didn't get axed on the old board. It was definitely nearing its demise, but as far as I know they all somehow stayed up. Either way, I think I can see myself watching the whole show. I'm entertained by the wackiness of it all, and as for what's BS I just find it best to turn my brain off on that. I'm sure we'll find out anyway on the Observer so what's the point in trying to figure it out?
  22. First thing I think of when hearing the name is this: Looking back, damn she was ugly.
  23. I hate myself for liking the show at all, but I did. For starters, you can't go wrong with Daniel Bryan being featured on a pop culture show which amuses me to no end. Cool that they're a hippie couple and he is pretty much a normal guy. Then there's Jim Neidhart being simply "Nattie's Dad" which made me chuckle. Cena actually seemed kinda likeable when fishing, but the restaurant scene reset the good that would have done. He legit is too wrapped up with WWE to really function as a human being. As for the Bellas, no matter how nice they are their voices are extremely irritating. But they had some nice moments. And holy hell I'm not sure how much of Cameron is real with the psycho attitude, but she came across as mental. I'm sure the match was cut for time reasons (oh, wait, it was) but if the stuff beforehand that happened was real then why would they put it on WM? As for Natalya she was the only one consistently likeable and seemed sympathetic. As for Jojo I don't see her doing anything special but it's amusing she's with Justin Gabriel. Then there's Eve Marie who is too damn hot for PG WWE. I don't know or care how she is a wrestler. Hell, even if after the show she left WWE and did all kinds of modeling I'd be fine with that. I just can't see her fitting in at all, but damn I'd love to see lots more of her. Just have her as a manager, to hell with the wrestling part. It's by no means the best show in the world, but I've seen much worse. I'll probably stick around. You get tiny glimpses of the political nature of WWE and that is interesting to see.
  24. They tend to put popular designs on sweatshirts when it hits colder weather. They might have it for sweatshirt by then.
