  1. We laughed like hyenas at that part. It was said in that worried tone like "I gotta get the fuck outta here" So funny. I'm glad Daivari and Texano didn't have a match yet, sensing a good feud to come out of this. Hernandez turning on Puma was expected but was so well-done. He was being a dick but tried to cover it up, and the more it happened the more Puma and Konnan were annoyed. Finally Hernandez was like "Aw, fuck it" and did the full turn. I have a feeling Puma will screw him out of the Mundo match as a form of revenge. And Mil Muertes awakens! Not sure why Katrina is back with him all of a sudden, but damn was that a glorious segment. The eyes opening at the end was striking and a killer way to end the show. Fun times!
  2. Switching gears to EA UFC, I saw earlier posts saying how the update really fixed the pacing of the fights and were much more enjoyable. Fired up the game last week with updates and sure enough had much better fights. Even on easy I could tell the AI seemed more realistic. For kicks I simmed McGregor/Aldo and it was a wonderful fight in every way. I'm kicking myself for not doing the share to FB/Youtube option when that happened, but it was so well-done. It's still in the PS4, and once I get through some of the free goodness I downloaded (Guacamelee FTW) I'm going to do much more with this.
  3. Sounds like a fun show. Going to back to last week I was blown away how much that Cueto/Hernandez/Puma backstage segment accomplished. After it ended it felt like a massive light bulb was turned on over my head. You had Cueto trying to stir shit with Drago, then trying to convince Puma to not show mercy. Then he has Hernandez state he doesn't care for Puma which causes worry with him. THEN the match is set a number one contender and Puma's about to shit bricks. This was so well-done and the simple beauty of it was wonderful. It's not going to be remembered like Angelico's dive, but it's such a cool reminder why this show rules and is the best show of the week. I swear, I'm going to go through some mad withdrawl symptoms (of the non-drug kind) when the season ends.
  4. Wow, Bret sure has gotten more vulgar over the years.
  5. The episode was pretty great. My only real gripe with it is: How did Bobbi not realize there were two Mays? Did the imposter slip in at the last second? Did nobody tell her the real one's on the other plane? I've had no issues with her before, but you gotta double check on that shit. Instead, she's in the situation she's in. Raziel brings up great points, but yeah they've been building to this. The only plot twist I don't quite get is it seems Fitz is acting friendlier now towards Simmons like old times. Did something happen after he left with the toolbox where he had a change of heart? Did he need to hang with the guys to come to his senses? Did he have a chat with her where they hammered this out? Because I swear before he left it was tense as anything between the two. I will also accept the fact that maybe I'm out of my damn mind and overthinking this.
  6. I know there's other movies that are going to be worth checking out (Captain America, Suicide Squad, etc) But I'm most excited for some motherfuckin' Deadpool, and I'm going to have some chimichangas to celebrate it.
  7. With Nintendo I expect either another apology about the Amiibos or more hard to find ones just to fuck with us. I'm banking on the latter. Considering many sites are blocked at work that would air E3 conferences, I'll pick and choose what to check out. Ubisoft, Nintendo and Sony are the main conferences of interest and I'm hoping for good stuff to come out of those. I really miss the days of G4 and Spike where you'd have days upon days of coverage outside of the conferences. If there's a site that has this I'd find some kind of way of checking it out, maybe some remote desktop or VPN type deal.
  8. That said, as somebody who didn't use Mewtwo in the past he's a beast in this version. My main gripe is the setup for the disable attack, but I've been killing fools left and right. He's maybe a little overpowered, but so much fun to play as. We have this cool game store at White Marsh Mall called Regen where they have the new Smash on a TV for anybody to play. Everytime I go there people are playing the heck out of it. Great way to see what they're doing and get some fun matches in. Since my friends have stopped anything Nintendo in favor of PS4/XBone it's nice to play these with people like in past years. As for promises of fulfilling demand for Amiibos, I'll believe it when I see it.
  9. Bret was very much THE guy. Shawn was on his way up, but before he hit it big Bret was all over the place. Not Hogan over, but still in a respectable spot. Considering the steroid trial he was the guy WWE and fans wanted out there and it worked. When Shawn became champ he pretty much took over and it led to what it led to. As for all-time, I want to say Austin too but feel I'm missing out on older generations. Austin had tons of mainstream appeal yet had the skills to prove he belonged. Hard to argue against him. And goc, the ridiculousness of Sami's injury is not lost on me. I love the guy but if one has a fucked up shoulder they might want to watch how they fucking wave their arms.
  10. Gah, I so want this to be a reality now. This sounds too damn good to pass up on. I've thought more about how they interact on this show than almost anything that happened on Raw. And I guarantee we'd do a better job writing this than WWE's done with some of their main stories.
  11. Burgundy, I would watch the heck out of that show. A WWE high school drama sounds like fun times. Wonderful job! Now if you want to add some of the male roster in there as supporting characters, Sami going for Bayley but forever friendzoned is right there.
  12. I still envision a day where Sami and Bayley are the main male/female kids adore. WWE's PG era will make lots of sense once you have kids lining up like crazy to see them. And it is not that far-fetched an idea either.
  13. As soon as Bret came out I knew it was either Sami or Owens, but even before that I kept thinking how awesome it would be for that to happen. Cena is the master at turning a hostile crowd on his side, he had them loving him with that promo. Was in awe of it really. The Ole chants were a great precursor of things to come, and Heath's cameo/mic sell only added to the excitement. Didn't see until now how he hurt his shoulder. Given how amped he was he had more force on that. Still crazy to think he worked the whole match with that. I hope it's not serious, it could have been an aggravation more than anything. But who would have ever expected him to do all his main moves (save for the helluva kick) on John f'n Cena on Raw? When he did the Blue Thunder Bomb I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
  14. Okay, not really. Just wanted an excuse to post the picture.
  15. Whoops, meant Contest of Champions. Did I ever mention I'm not a morning person?
  16. I was prepared for such a question at the show and was going to just bullshit my way through it all, convincing them they're a new band. Too bad I didn't get the chance to try that.
  17. I wore this at a show at the Ottobar and was not as out of place as I feared. First shirt in a while I can wear without that whole "I'm wearing a wrestling shirt" vibe I get from others. And if Charlotte's debuting tonight then it's about damn time.
  18. Count me in the "think about it everyday" boat. Being on here definitely facilitates that, as I mainly read it during work. Not sure everything is wrestling to me, but a good amount certainly is. I could look at Conor Mcgregor and instantly think how great a pro wrestling heel he'd be, he's already got the promos down pat. Or Mayweather being quite the hugger a la Bayley. If I did a tally of how much I think about it in a day I would be either not surprised one bit or slightly depressed. I'm just glad it hasn't kept me from being productive.
  19. Yeah, the ending of Django...Kill was tremendous. Didn't know if I'd like the movie considering how awesome Django was, but it ended up being lots of fun. Keoma is just on another level. I could honestly watch that many times and not get sick of it. Aside from the epic music, I love the scene where he held up four fingers. Putting the camera on that showing him count down and it reveals the enemies was killer. It's easy to see why it deserved the awards it received.
  20. I'm pretty excited to see Guacamelee on the list, definitely downloading that. Unfinished Swan seems semi-interesting and worth checking out. Hohokum was free before and it's a fun little game to fuck around with. Not sure I'd buy it, but for free you can't go wrong. Will need to see what the other two are like.
  21. What I love about it is games like this and Conquest look gorgeous and are smooth as silk to play, yet don't require as much space on the phone like other big titles. WWE Immortals takes up tons of space (1.7GB) and it can be slow to play. They should see what Marvel's doing to accomplish this and use it to lessen the load for their game. As it is I wonder why this game's worth keeping because while it's fun and it's WWE it just hogs up the phone space. Future Fight is lots of fun, see myself going back and forth between that and Conquest.
  22. Good thing I decided not to get it right away. The Galaxy S4 has given me memory issues in the past, though using an app or two helps manage that. It sounds like it's a lot worse with the S6, so unless I want to use the app often I might hold off until they fix that on an update.
  23. Because it's the internet, Nattie wanted people to tweet cat pictures sad over New Day. Can't make this up. I'd lament about cat pictures being used to discuss a feud in 2015, but daaaawww look at the cats, they're adorable! http://www.wwe.com/inside/new-day-cesaro-kidd-natalya-twitter-cat-war
  24. Really, the only thing that's been a slight hassle is the curfew. Weekend plans have to be altered to ensure we're in, or I'll just stay elsewhere if I want to be out longer. That's a very minor inconvenience compared to the worst affected areas. But yet, it's definitely getting better especially after today's news.
  25. Yeah, living/working in Baltimore I can confirm things are going to be fine come Payback. Now if it were to turn into they weren't guilty, then no it would absolutely not be fine to have it here. Speaking of Payback, haven't bought a ticket a yet but am considering it. It's also going to be a fairly busy week at that. On top of Payback there's JR's show in Baltimore and if I can get tickets NXT in Philly Friday. My wallet might take a hit if I do all these. But if anybody's going to either B-more show let me know.
