Brock can't do his stuff against Austin. Austin's stuff will work best against someone who would bump for him all over the ring. If they're really bringing in have him up against Rollins and it'll be like Da Crusher vs Tully or someone in 1983 or something and it'd be awesome.

I don't think Brutus gets enough credit for how over he was in 1988-1989. I don't really have much else to say but that. The guy was the #2 or 3 babyface in the company. He could lead B shows if he had to, and C shows definitely. He was a draw and kids bought into him. I think that's a testament to the WWF machine, but it's not like he didn't bring anything to the table in that role.

I have a wager with goc on who wins Cena vs Lesnar. I think it has to be Cena and the whole Summerslam thing was just to get people to renew for NOC, He thought that after Summerslam there was no way they didn't keep it on Lesnar for a while. I'm feeling pretty good about winning here. Loser has to review 5 matches picked by the winner. I'm gracious, of course, so I want people to start thinking of things I can toss at him when he loses. Just in your heads for now.

That moment after the first Atlantida tease and the roll up when the two of them were just basking in the crowd's adulation and the heat and the moment was pretty amazing. So was Atlantis and UG hugging. Having just seen a ton of 2006, that got me a little. (The finish was pretty much the same as the Rey vs Ultimo title match though, just with the Atlantida instead of a phantom roll up after the kicked out of Guerrero Special. This match was way better though).

Absolutely. Heenan still got the rest of his family over when he was managing Andre, for instance. The Curtis Axel stuff was just embarrassing all around, and in so many ways, his pairing with Cesaro was worse.

Shane in 94 is so interesting. You look into his eyes, and there's weird sense of not belonging, like a kid wearing his dad's suit, but that suit was the the title belt he was wearing and the lead heel spot. I do like some of his promos but it's almost because the Emperor Has No Clothes, so it makes him more vulnerable, but I don't think that's what he was going for all the time. The conventional wisdom is that as a character, he was a better heel, but as a wrestler, he was a better face. My favorite role for him? Commentary in 98.

Part of me wants to edit down that big Kawada vs Misawa match into something that would be really great. I bet Zeidler and I could do it.

I think people would be pretty pleased if Kane vs Bryan vs Punk was on the card again this weekend. That was plenty good.

Yeah, that Storm vs Harris death match was really good. I would have liked an extended heat segment after the Eye of the Storm (or whatever), at least for a few minutes of him just beating on Harris, but I do think it was probably in character for Storm to go for the big win instead, and Storm was doing a great job selling outside the ring, delayed setting it up, so I'm cool with it.

Isn't Gotham primarily a young Gordon show? No one ever said it was about Bruce.

Looking good for the Brothers Dust at the PPV. I really hope we get Henry/Show vs Dusts matches out of that.
