Someone posted a more complete version of the match btw, and I know we're only in Feb, but it's definitely one of the top five WWE matches of the year so far (and what a great week of WWE output between this, the NXT special, the Tag Team Turmoil, and Sin Cara/Cesaro).

I think one of the biggest regrets of the last two years of NXT is that Scott Dawson's redneck character never took off. Who was he paired with in those promo camp leaks onto youtube? He had a valet who worked really well with him in those.

Yeah, I went out to get some things and it was pretty crazy out there for a few minutes. I'm glad for the snow though. We'll play with the toddler in it tomorrow. There's been scant enough chances for that this year here.

The WWECW comparison is 2009. It's not a bad one but they're still different animals. What makes NXT so familiar is the fact it's basically a studio show.

I loved the Michaels/Jericho talk about their match stoppage and how Vince just couldn't wrap his mind around it.

I love that the three major priorities for everyone in NXT are titles, money, and following one's dreams. There's nothing about entertaining people or putting smiles on faces or getting the most tweets* or being the face of anything. It's belts, cash, and growing up loving wrestling. *Exception: Uggo Destruction.

I personally think pushing farther would be more than good enough. Just like the WON awards/HOF are very much about what Dave and his constituency likes, March Madness is about what the board likes and has liked over the year. There's no reason not to think Dean Ambrose won't go far if only because we've been reading ridiculous fan fiction about him all year. That said, if a few more people see Rampage Brown or Rush or Nakamura and their horizons get expanded by people who are very vocal about the fact these people should beat someone more familiar, then great.

I don't want to group all fans together, but part of me very strong feels like most of TNA's fanbase are fans of TNA because they identity with it. It belongs to them in a way WWE can't. It's like being fans of a sports team. It was something that they could latch onto when they were younger (or now when they come into wrestling) which they can feel obstinate and contrary about. It ceases becoming a rational thing. Part of me finds it very amusing that NXT could well supersede TNA in that regard, despite being a WWE product, that WWE creates a brand that gives TNA fans more of what they're looking for than TNA.

We need a NXT Unsullied post.
