  1. First half, maybe more given that I'm also counting the pre-show, was pretty bad inching towards boring. MITB was a crazy video game match. Seth vs. Roman was one as well, but with a great paor of Pedigrees to finish off Roman's reign for now. Seth winning segued into Dean's cash-in and Dean FINALLY got his revenge on Seth. Shame they did this after booking him like an absolute joke for most of the past year - but Dean does benefit from always being around the main event scene and having the permanent association with the Shield. Dean's cash-in was the first time since Seth that a first-time WWE Championship win actually felt like a big deal. Roman's should've, but they fucked him by giving him two nothing reigns and then giving him a third reign to act as the first "real" one and then that failed. Dude just isn't the guy. He's Lex Luger. Nothing wrong with being Lex Luger - but you have to accept that he's Lex Luger and not Hulk Hogan. If you do that, maybe you luck into something special like they did in '97 with him finally beating Hogan and you give him the ball briefly, but he can't carry the company no matter how nice his smile is, how muscular he is, or how many times he cocks his fist. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/06/wwe-money-in-bank-2016.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/gji6jnif6p1trbjtbuna66wy80xt22oi
  2. You would need Ron Howard, you would get Clint Howard.
  3. YAY! I made it into a DVDVR recap! Surprised you left out the Adam and Eve ad. It was an unforgettable night of whatever the fuck that was. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/06/tna-impact-6-14-16-gold-rush.html http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/3j5hperqii9hjlw29egy6a2xh4cnom5s/1
  4. Most of this show sucked. Charlotte looked like a moron losing to Paige clean before a tag match not involving Paige. Cesaro lost again in a short match to Sami - which was at least good. Steph buried Dean a bit, and then we got a corny Shield meeting on the Asylum. At least Dean was made to look strong. AJ vs. Cena remains the best thing on Raw by leaps and bounds. They're pressing all the right buttons to make this click and it does feel like a big match - but they're rushing it now, and it seems like it should be a Summerslam match instead of just an MITB one. Everything going down between them in just two weeks has hurt this, but also given them less time to fuck things up. Jericho doing his wacky ladder pose to close the show amused me. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/06/wwe-raw-6-13-16.html Shane's face seems to sum up Raw. http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/k583nnd552dv5eqbswmz3p6x3rw0k645
  5. Mother of fuck was this a slog. We got that weird ladder thing where all these sworn enemies are just...sitting on ladders, not doing anything as normal human beings would do. Then we got them comparing Ali to Roman Reigns, a recap of Seth being this super-determined guy who wanted to come back and get his title back while Roman bitched about stuff in his video. The Club sandwich got to beat New Day, and then got the shit kicked out of them - so it was 50/50 booking without a match. Steph got to bury and belittle Teddy Long a bunch - because that's an efficient use of TV time. I guess it's better than her burying Charlotte, whose team with Dana is off to quite a start as they beat up Nattie and Becky and Dana looked awful in every possible way. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/06/wwe-raw-6-6-16.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/a2br76ib3np4yo90p5kc4d72x8nuvk55
  6. The ring's nothing - outside of it was fucking terrifying. It looked like an actual Slip 'n Slide.
  7. Boy was AWA Superstars 2-28-88 a weird show. You've got a show that starts with Larry Nelson explaining his "Little" nickname, then going on about the benefits of orthopedic chairs. This was also a show with nothing but title matches and ZERO clean finishes. Brian fucking Knobbs didn't even job to Greg Gagne, while Hennig cheated to win Kevin Kelly, and the outstanding main event got a non-finish. Absolutely perfect match though for what it needed to be, largely due to Orton being the glue for everything. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/06/awa-superstars-2-28-88.html Screens - Five Star Neckbreaker Five Star Nardbreaker http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/wiosbewe96o1hyzaf0lbsyixyqusxsvt
  8. He was Honky Tonk Ferris before the WWF, and he was able to keep the HTM name based on that.
  9. Still more important than the TNA Legends/Global/World TV/King of the Mountain Championship. Still got 75 years to go, but Big Vin is at least 1/4 correct so far as guys are still doing snake eyes today.
  10. I thought this was a hilarious show. EC3 was actually good as a babyface GM, we got more sub-porno level acting from Raquel, and all of the Hrady stuff had me cracking up. I also loved Robbie's "trust the process" during their pool bit. Cranky Al Snow remains the most genuinely enjoyable part of the show, and now he gets sidekicks! And they have some of the hardest to remember names in TNA history - yay! Oh, and Pepper Parks has a gig now so they can get the most use out of their money because they've also got his wife under contract too. Good for him I guess. Maybe he can feud with Eli over the prestigious TNA Legends/Global/World TV/King of the Mountain Title. And Jeff is a goddamn idiot taking that bump off the apron on a thick table with nothing to break his fall but either a thick post or concrete. That definitely hurt him more than Shane flying off the cell at WM. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/tna-impact-wrestling-5-31-16.html Screens - Got a jobber vibe? 11. The AJ-Cena stuff ruled. Everything else was filler or just bullshit - like Steph cutting Charlotte's lady balls off. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/raw-5-30-16-memorial-day-show.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/god35v9tl07uf4hz29lvvs3bds4reidv
  12. IC Title match was incredible, and an early match of the year contender - easily the best match on this show. Main event was hurt by the Usos interference no-selling the earlier stuff, but was great overall. Loved the table bumps since AJ takes the best announce table bumps ever, and looked great in losing to Roman. Seth's return was a nice surprise, and I like that they've given him a new far less Billy and Chuck-style logo now with the anarchy vibe to it. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/wwe-extreme-rules-2016.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/vmi7srqay1tnc4skkc8r054pkxj3grpc/2
  13. Missed the "When it Reigns, it Bores" sign. Clearly we're getting Bulma vs. Steph at WM.
  14. Pretty useless show, but I did love Dean Ambrose bringing back Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun match - only now it has a plant and a mop. The Club lost again, as did Becky - so WWE has something other than 50/50 booking and it's in these programs. Stephanie, of course, went over Ric Flair in NC in the main event segment. #newera http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/wwe-raw-5-16-16.html http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/r3kcrkxkc33gpzz83xdg92vwsv30gb27
  15. What a nothing show this was outside of AJ-Roman. Way too much "new era" stuff that is barely surface-level. Anyone even casually watching the show over the past year can tell nothing has changed, but at least they've got AJ and Roman clicking and actually feeling like main eventers now. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/wwe-raw-5-9-16.html
  16. Holy shit was this a bad, boring show to attempt to get through. Thank God for AJ Styles bumping like a madman to try and save the show in the main event and afterwards. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/wwe-raw-5-2-16.html Screens - Fat Owens Fat http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/d8y0knd5qyfvjytuv46t768knfkly2vb
  17. Dolph-Baron was nothing. Ryback-Kalisto was a lot of fun - but the wrong guy won. Ryback winning off the super press slam would've been great. Team SAWFT vs. Vaudevillains was scary for all the wrong reasons. Enzo's bad landing looked scary at first, then the slow-mo kind of made it seem not too bad - followed by JBL going into WWE Speak Mode. That really hurt it, but then it was clear he was actually hurt and that took the wind out of the show briefly. The Owens-Zayn match was near-perfect though. Sami is the best babyface in peril since Ricky Morton - using just his fingers to elicit sympathy. Great match here and I was glad to see Owens win and even happier to see him do commentary for Miz-Cesaro. This cut out a ton, and I'm not rewatching it ever, but Owens was amazing on commentary. Shocked that Miz won, but they seemed to set up a 4 way feud for the belt too. Roman vs. AJ was excellent overall. The overbooking was all predictable - and logically built into the match based on what happened in prior weeks and tonight. AJ looked super-strong in defeat, and came off like a credible World title-level guy - which was more than I expected. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/05/wwe-payback-2016-live-coverage.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/hf8ilm6xo7du948ik3jtzkjmj96dc76u
  18. Eva vs. Asuka was a lot of fun, largely due to how the crowd reacted and to see Asuka wrestle circles around her at all times. The Revival vs. Jamokes #1 and #2 match perfect. It was EXACTLY what the fucking Bullet Club needed and didn't get. The Nakamura match was a blast, and every single thing he does entertains me since he's so good at the little things. Loved the Revival just kicking ass not only in their match, but after the Hype Bros. one as well. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/04/wwe-nxt-4-27-16.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/cd6upgkwsqrvth9mm2qf5h2hah4m58ai
  19. Pretty good show overall, and a far better go-home show for Payback than anything done for WM. They made Sami vs. Owens seem like a huge deal - and it made me wish that was for an important secondary title. With Miz and Cesaro going at it for the IC, then just giving Owens the US Title would have been fine and would give them something to fight over. Gallows and Anderson's debut had a couple of highlights, but went on way too long and just lacked impact. They should have steamrolled any team - instead, they "told a story" with the Usos that could've been accomplished with a post-match beating, and didn't really shine much. Then they got beat up by the Big Dog. Main event was a bit more of the same too - but they did make AJ look strong tonight. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/04/wwe-raw-4-25-16.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/e23ngie07f6dcd4b17c6q3ax56ye4rjj
  20. Okay show - but it just couldn't hold my attention tonight. Miz and Maryse were amusing, Dean had a couple of amusing lines - but most of the show just didn't click. 22. Fuck yes it was! Main event was a bit bizarre, but still good and we got the Biz Cliz in WWE as...kinda Outsiders, only JBL and his "sources" knew - so not really. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/04/wwe-raw-4-11-16.html Raw is Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/r0xox9y0ayjanigx6w55666n77z52a2u
  23. This show did an awful job of building the future for everyone but Enzo Amore. Motherfucker made himself a star in a minute with a promo about having a micsaber for the haters and having the gift of gab and the gift of jab. Fatal 4 way was a blast too - we got AJ Styles vs. Cesaro vs. Owens main eventing the post-WM Raw for a WWE Title shot. Incredible. AJ winning was a huge surprise too. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/04/wwe-raw-4-4-16-post-mania-show.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/r1fx2kdtzdunvdlqvdlhyi53bt23vuom
  24. I'm tired and the show was an absolute clusterfuck. They kinda felt like they had something special with the women's match - but it seems like they're just doing word replacement to make things more important. Everything else is fucked. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/ Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/n60vaed80axewkljs7ny1u3wkpld01uo
  25. Aside from the horrible false finish botch, the tag title match was outstanding - and we got to see JR AND KOTA IBUSHI after it! Yeah boy is 2016 going to be interesting. Nakamura vs. Sami was one of the best matches of the year so far - and better than Nakamura-AJ at WK 10. They have perfectly nailed his theme and while it's not quite as great as "Subconscious", it's 99% as good. Bayley vs. Asuka was nearly perfect and they found a way to give Asuka a dominant win without really hurting Bayley. Finally, Joe vs. Finn was a crazy war to start - and while it did die out a bit at the end, they still delivered a memorable match. Excellent night of action, with Nakamura vs. Sami easily winning match of the night honors. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2016/04/nxt-takeover-dallas-live-coverage.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/06y026p47ff2yco8l3urla2rjvn3g1gg
