  1. If it helps people any, they had three 10-man matches that fit that description but it looks like 3/24/02 was the only one that made tape which was Eddy's final match on the tour.
  2. Not that I don't agree it is a weird promotion, I am in the process of reviewing a third show now, that was just a house show with 400 people. So I wouldn't put a ton of stock in it, probably them just doing something amusing for the crowd since it will never hit TV.
  3. Want stuff? Post it here. Remember the Puroresu rolls in slower than it used to so if the event just happened yesterday it probably isn't available yet.
  4. OFFICIAL RULES: - Since we are in the Japan folder, naturally only puroresu matches. - No matches owned by any company that operates from the United States/Canada. - Keep the Requests in the Requests folder. - With the new "Like" system, it lessens the need to give a bunch of "Thanks" replies, you can just use that instead. But match discussion is always nice. - Multiple matches from the same show can go in the same thread. - Try not to flood the forum with every puroresu match on youtube, but if its a recent or really cool match then go ahead. That is all I can think of right now, if I am missing any I will post them.
  5. So who wants to run this thing? After four months I think it is time we re-started and even though I personally don't really post in these type of threads much, I know you guys enjoy it. I will do it of course if no one else wants to, but Ditch ran it beautifully before and I remember someone else saying they would do it if no one else was interested. If I don't see threads pop up by tonight I will make them myself
  6. I have very little on him which I only got from Zedi. But yea I also vote for "local guy to fill a spot", I have never seen his name tied to any of the larger promotions.
  7. I messaged a few poor souls about this six months ago, but figured this time I would just make it a topic since now I have the hardware for it. So currently I am in the process of shrinking my wrestling DVD collection by combining my multiple DVD events onto one blu-ray disk. This is a long term project since I have hundreds of events, but I don't really have much space so in the long run it will help a bunch. Anyway, I got the software and I already had the hardware, but here is the question - whats the best codec/bitrate/etc to not make the file size too big, but not lose any of the DVD quality? I know that I could convert them to "HD" and have a huge file that looks great, but the DVDs of course aren't HD so it is just a waste of space. But I don't want any loss at all. I have been playing with H.264 and mkv, but the mkv I could tell a slight loss. If anyone has done this and has any recommendations I would appreciate it. I know lots of different software can do this, currently I am using DVD Shrink to copy the DVD to my computer, Leawo Blu-Ray Video Converter to combine the DVD files into one big file, and then Ashampoo to burn the Blu-ray. I imagine there is an easier way with less software, but this trio seems to do the trick. But I am open to suggestions.
  8. I have a PS4 coming Friday and even have a few games for it (funny that the games/controller shipped first, so I have everything but the console) but now I am trying to decide if I should just flip it and wait until the spring. I really wanted Watchdogs which of course got postponed, and AC IV I am expecting to be fun but I can get it for the PS3 if I feel so inclined. So I am still on the fence, if they are still selling for 525+ plus when I have it in-hand on Friday (I don't post stuff until I physically have it) I will probably just sell it and wait. But if the price drops when the console is actually here I will probably just keep it and play the games I already have (AC IV and Madden 25). My big disappointment? No full scale/campaign couch co-op games at launch. Particularly disappointing since Killzone could have been. Anytime my brother and I get to hang out (usually holidays) we always play FPS or RPG co-op games and I wanted to show off my new toy over Thanksgiving. I know that couch co-op is dying and all as online gets more popular, but its a fun tradition we have always enjoyed since we were kids. So I hope some come out at least before July 4th anyway. Luckily, Super Mario 3D World comes out before turkey day and it looks pretty amazing.
  9. If this was wrestling, it would be the equivalent of the "B" house show in Montana. I follow the UFC somewhere between the average fan and the hardcore fan, and I only know by name four of the fighters on the main card. I sent the card to my brother, a casual fan, and he knew two by name, neither of which he really cared about seeing fight. They are really over-saturating themselves and it is only a matter of time before it comes back to haunt them. And it may still have some good fights, but in terms of interest going in, I have around 0%. It has to have the worst rating on FS1. But it won't be as bad as UFC Fight Night 30 on FS2, so they have that going for them. I would guess.... 480K viewers.
  10. I'm just curious Ditch, in these cases when you guys are setting up interviews, are you/the website talking directly to the wrestler, or to an agent/rep for the wrestler? It does seem odd that someone would just change their mind all of a sudden unless something outside of your and his control happened (ie WWE wouldn't let him for some reason if he has a legends deal, etc.).

IWGP Heavyweight Title: Kazuchika Okada © beat Hiroshi Tanahashi (35:17) with the Rainmaker (5th defense).
  12. I posted the main event in the matches thread, for those that want to see it. Silly Dave, nice to know that promotions still enjoy working the sheets.
  13. Kazuchika Okada © vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi WHEN: October 14th, 2013 WHERE: New Japan "King of Pro Wrestling" at Sumo Hall WHY: IWGP Heavyweight Championship DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK: Download Here
  14. What's the story with this? Basically, someone at NJPW mocked him for believing Okada could/should win.
  15. As if you needed more points. Ass.
  16. Looks like it will be Akebono vs. Go Shiozaki. Since Shiozaki just got a title shot I think Akebono will win, if Shiozaki wins I am not sure what the point of the tournament was since he is already one of the higher ranking wrestlers in All Japan.
  17. According to Yahoo I got waxed: "Thanks to 26.60 points from Calvin Johnson, Mighty Sheep (2-0, 278.80) waxed MOOOONSAULT-O~! (1-1, 198.24), 131.52 - 85.94.". The League Recap is new this year and also quite fun to read.
  18. I think since D'Lo at this point is just a part time wrestler, he was just brought in to job out as a name that some All Japan fans may remember from years ago. First post updated again, that Akebono/Doering final looking more and more likely. I'd still pick Doering to win that match if it does happen, though.
  19. I think Ditch is just waiting to see if the old Board posts are revived, he doesn't want to re-start it if we can save those old results. Not that he can't talk for himself of course
  20. I posted the Big Wednesday Shinjiro Otani and Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs. Black Tiger and Chris Jericho match over in the Matches thread, for those still itching to see it.
  21. This was being discussed elsewhere, so here ya go! Shinjiro Otani and Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs. Black Tiger and Chris Jericho WHEN: September 23rd, 1998 WHERE: New Japan Pro Wrestling at Yokohama Arena WHY: IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK: Download Here
  22. Next wave of match results updated in the first post. No real surprises on Day 2, maybe KENSO losing but I don't see that as a big upset.
  23. First post updated with the first day of results. I can't imagine Akebono hitting a jumping piledriver, but it does look like he got a little bit of air anyway:
