  1. Just got done watching it on D+ and I really enjoyed it. Parts of it felt a little like a Marvel Jason Bourne. Liked Hopper as Red Guardian and Pugh was really good and could be a lot of fun going forward.
  2. Well, that's the end of the season. I guess I liked it more often than not but the show just doesn't excite me like it used to.
  3. I loved this movie. I enjoyed TLJ, didn’t love it, but I loved this movie. I liked the story, I liked the action and I loved the cameos. It had just the right balance between big set pieces and emotional touches and it was a lot of fun and that’s what I want from Star Wars.
  4. I don't think I can add anything that you guys haven't already said, I just wanted to say I loved it. Having grown up in the eighties, this is exactly the kind of movie I dreamed about seeing. Incredible experience.
  5. I finally got a chance to see Captain Marvel and I loved it. I thought her aerial combat sequences at the end were probably the best I've seen of that sort of thing. Our cinema is down to a few showings per day but judging by the number of people there today its still got some legs. For an eleven AM Sunday show there were about thirty people in, mostly adults.
  6. I really enjoyed the first episode. I thought Jodie did really well and the companions too. Though it helps that I've been a Bradley Walsh fan for about twenty years.
  7. I was watching the second Portland disc last night and I think the second of the Rose/Borne matches is a duplicate of the first.
  8. This is great. I'm in for both. The only PNW stuff I've seen are the matches from the Rose comp (which are all superb). And I'm completely new to PR.
  9. I went to a 2pm showing and it was packed. I thought it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the story and the action sequences were top notch.
  10. Not happy with the set or your ballot? I think the general rule for people who've been thru the ballot process before is that after the top 25 it's really not worth stressing yourself over the difference between 46 & 47. My ballot. This is 8th set I've sent a ballot for so I know what its like past a certain point. I think the problem was that I really like lucha but generally prefer single rather than trios (or even tags for that matter) so this set was always going to be mixed.
  11. I've sent in my ballot. I can't say that beyond the top 10 - 20 I'm hugely happy with it. Is the next set coming soon?
  12. When you level up, increasing your stamina will raise your carry weight (by 5?). Also, the armour trees have perks that make your suit weightless.
  13. Thanks Jet. I think I'll wait a while longer then.
  14. This might be a silly question but, do you need an xbox gold account to use the online things?
  15. Disc three rankings: Gran Cochise vs. Satanico (9/14/84) Satanico vs. Super Astro (10/26/84) Satanico vs. Shiro Koshinaka (Hair vs. Hair) (7/30/84) Sangre Chicana vs. MS-1 (Hair vs. Hair) (9/21/84) Villano III vs. Perro Aguayo (10/7/84) Javier Cruz, Impacto y Solar II vs. El Dandy, Franco Colombo y Panico (10/84) Atlantis, Ringo Mendoza y Tony Salazar vs. El Satanico, MS-1 y Espectro Jr. (9/28/84) El Satanico y Espectro Jr. v. El Faraón y La Fiera (8/12/84) Perro Aguayo vs. Sangre Chicana vs. El Faraón vs. Villano III (Elimination Match) (10/84) This disc was of two extremes for me. I really dug the top four but found the rest to be a bit of a chore to watch.
  16. It took me a little while but I really got into this match. Its not at all what I was expecting from Astro, whom I've seen a fair wee bit of but mostly later 80s/90s stuff. I was thinking this would be the little fellas usual type of match but its quite the departure. Or is it? Maybe I've just been watching a one-sided selection. Anyway, it was grand.
  17. Disc two rankings: Mocho Cota vs. Americo Rocca (1/27/84) Mocho Cota vs. Americo Rocca (2/3/84) Atlantis vs. El Satanico (1984) Lizmark vs. El Satanico (April 1984) Tony Salazar vs. Herodes (3/2/84) Enrique Vera vs. Dos Caras (2/26/84) Jerry Estrada vs. Ultraman (3/2/84) Hijo del Santo, Ringo Mendoza y Chamaco Valaguez vs. Jerry Estrada, Fuerza Guerrera y Talisman (3/9/84) Solar, Ultraman y Super Astro vs. Sergio El Hermoso, Bello Greco y Rudy Reyna (2/26/84) El Faraón, Herodes y Mocho Cota vs. Lizmark, Ringo Mendoza y Tony Salazar (2/24/84) Atlantis y Lizmark vs. El Egipcio y El Faraón (2/17/84)
  18. I don't know about people here but he did a F4D in 2006 that I seem to remember liking.
  19. I think the piledriver was banned because someone was paralyzed with one. I'm guessing that came after this. Its not the only piledriver on the set either.
  20. Disc 1 ranking: MS-1 vs. Sangre Chicana (9/23/83) Atlantis y El Hijo del Santo vs. Fuerza Guerrera y Lobo Rubio (11/25/83) Tatsumi Fujinami vs. El Canek (6/12/83) Centurion Negro vs. Gran Hamada (2/14/82) El Canek vs. Don Corleone (2/14/82) Sangre Chicana vs. Ringo Mendoza (10/28/83) Satoru Sayama y Gran Hamada vs. Perro Aguayo y Baby Face (4/13/80) Kevin von Erich, Mascara Ano 2000 y Halcon Ortiz v. Coloso Colosetti, Pirata Morgan y Herodes (9/23/83) Espectro Jr., Satanico y MS-1 vs. Mocho Cota, Sangre Chicana y La Fiera (9/30/83) Andre the Giant & Cien Caras vs. Alfonso Dantes, Herodes y Sangre Chicana (1981) Overall it was a really good way to start a set as it had a little bit of everything in it. Really whet my appetite for the rest of the set. Have to agree with Tim about MS1/Chicana setting the mark for other matches to beat. My money is Dandy or Satanico being the guy to do it.
  21. I love those kinds of spinny, floaty armdrags and headscissors spots that Santo does so well in this match. Its really cool to think that ten years after this match he is still doing them perfectly against the likes of Eddie Guerrero and then ten years after that he's doing them against Ultimo Guerrero. And Atlantis is super-cool in this as well. I remember a few years ago when I got some 80s lucha from Bob Barnett and I first saw Atlantis doing those highspots after only seeing his more tame recent stuff, blew my tiny mind.
  22. I've never really commented on matches before and I'm not too good at write-ups like soup23 above but I just wanted to add a note about this match. The structure of this match and matches like it are pretty much my favourite type of wrestling. I like matches with a solid wrestling baseline and then some form of escalation, in this instance from the mat to the suplexes to the dives and then a bit of brawling. Soup mentions the viciousness within the confines of wrestling holds, thats exactly what makes this match.
  23. My set arrived this morning! I've watched the first four matches so far and enjoyed the two singles the best. That didn't really surprise me though.
