  1. I thought Braun's knees were a little weak, but those Lesnar shots to the temple were hard to watch. This is the Bizarro Royal Rumble where I didn't really like any of the matches but was happy with almost all of the results.
  2. Someone stuck me in this abysmal "Smark Life" group and I want out because there's so many chuds spewing so much feces, but it's such a good reminder of why I've been popping in to DVDVR for a bit over a decade now that I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
  3. That user name is the gift that keeps on giving. So also I'm Twitter junkie rose emoji DSA scum and totally fucking love "#woken" over "#broken". Not sure if the WWE has ever improved on something like that before.
  4. It was the hardest I've marked out for wrestling in ages, and the hardest I've marked out in general since I saw that Josh Reddick might be walking to the plate to "Glorious" next season.
  5. The idea was clearly for Brock to run through Bryan at SS, Cena a little later on, and then Reigns would be the last man standing for the big WM win. But both Bryan and Roman fucked up the plans. Man, I hope it's not too late for Broken Matt.
  6. This was a fun, fun event to be at, even if the main made so little sense. AJ/Lesnar was so good. And I saw mention of the announcers ignoring the New Japan chants - I'm wondering if the Angle/Roode "TNA" chants even made it to TV. War Games was better, but this was a blast. Biggest pop of the night was, easily, Josh Reddick.
  7. Going to this show. Haven't seen NXT in months. Excited to see Eric Young. And the kid in me is so stoked to see War Games. But mostly? THE FUCKING THEME SONG IS FUCKING POWER TRIP THE GREATEST METAL BAND ON THE PLANET. Literally the single best WWE theme in the company's history. Watching the last episode of NXT and they had clips of a bloody Flair and shit scored to Executioner's Axe and I haven't so viscerally marked out to wrestling solely because of music since RVD coming out to Pantera.
  8. Design team needs some variety in how they 'shop beards.
  9. I enjoyed it, but say what you will about Flair always working - Hogan was so clearly full of shit. I mean, hilariously so, that humble gimmick he was pulling off was hilarious. I also never thought I'd live in a world where Ric Flair is legitimately more recognizable and famous than Hulk Hogan, but here we are.
  10. I'm assuming they were gonna re-debut Angle at Survivor Series and this happened instead, no?
  11. Hoo boy. This show was garbage. And the whole Shield reunion thing is just part 84 million of trying to get the crowd behind Roman. It'll go right back to normal after the one-off. And like everyone else that's only been paying half attention, I was really wondering if Rey or Ricochet or some shit was gonna come level Enzo, but wow, fuckin Kalisto.
  12. Somehow heard nothing but positive stuff about this ppv, so avoided all spoilers and was proud of myself to have made it to this moment when I finally had time to watch. But sort of thought the excitement was because Cena won. Ugh. Other than Cesaro, this was terrible.
  13. I enjoyed this quite a bit, especially for a holiday show. And...at the risk of bringing on the type of conversation I'd rather not bring on...am I the only one who always found Maria insanely hotter in ROH than WWE? I think it's the way WWE shits make-up all over women.
  14. That Fashion Files segment...damn. Main was great, too, and the women's match was fun for a clusterfuck. I'm at the point where I record Raw, read the spoilers, and if I get the okay I fast forward to the parts where Samoa Joe murders people, but I watch all of Smackdown except the Orton promos. Jinder's thing is the Great Balls of Fire of title runs to me - so bad it won me over.
  15. I haven't bothered with Raw since the roster change, so I wasn't too invested in any of this, so maybe that's why I thought this was a pretty shitty show. But then, I really can't stand Alexa Bliss and "midget with no offense" is a fine descriptor for me. That match was god awful. I don't think I cared for any of the results tonight outside of the main, because Joe/Lesnar is still dream match to me and they better not fuck this up.
  16. I enjoyed this ppv. I'm not big on Mahal winning, but it might be interesting. The main reason I'm popping in here, though, is because all of this Orton hate is so cathartic. I feel like I've been waiting for this thread since Evolution started.
  17. I didn't bother with Orton/Corbin, but enjoyed most everything else. Can't say enough about the Hot Cops gimmick.
  18. I liked this show. Now, to complain about it: Wow, that really sucked for a British crowd. No-selling KO's French was especially bad manners. I'm not a fan of jeans and a wife beater being wrestling gear, but I'm even less of a fan of Luke Harper just switching over to Dean's jeans and wife beater look. I hate the steampunk sheep mask, and think it's indicative of everything they've gotten wrong with the Wyatts. That "bonding" bit was pretty weird. So was Naomi making her grand entrance just to introduce Becky. I get it was for the crowd, but it's not like they cared. The advantage of Ortong/Jinder is supposed to be that I can knock off two birds with one stone by fast-forwarding them both on my DVR. This doesn't work when they're stuck in tag matches with people I like. Other than that, KO is so much better on SD than he was on Raw. That promo on Orton and Mahal to start the show was great. The Fashion Files stuff was excellent again. The main was fun for what it was. Nak laying into Ziggler was good.
  19. That heel run is my favorite run of all time, and I couldn't agree more.
  20. Didn't watch, but Titus with the LU Famous B gimmick deserves all the shit it's getting.
  21. I think Chuck's comment on the original tape was something big for Kim. And yet, we all know Kim is gonna get destroyed, so maybe not.
  22. That was a lot of fun and way better than expected. Reigns beat down was cathartic. HoH stuff was so hilariously awful in a fun way. Glad Jericho won. Hope Sheamus/Cesaro really did "break" the Hardys.
  23. I thought Raw was the stronger show before the draft, but damn, this sucked. All I really care about is Joe and Jericho, and Jericho is about to leave. Braun is fun, but nothing I can't miss. Alexa sucked all the life out of the Women's Division. After being one of the lone Raw>SD voices around here, I'm moving to Saul and baseball on Mondays amd rasslin Tuesdays. I'll time back in when Finn gets healthy enough to steal Roman's push and Corey starts quoting Anselmo again.
