  1. Its between Lesnar/Taker and Taker/HBK for the top two spots for me. HHH/Cactus would probably be 3 with Batista/HHH right behind it. I never liked any of the Edge/Taker matches. Taker/Mankind disappointed me tremendously years ago when I finally watched it, but that might have been due to far too high expectations. I found the six-man Armageddon match boring. HHH/HBK is the worst HIAC match I can remember. Never watched DX vs. Mcmahons/Show. The match has lost its mystique ever since they made it an actual ppv. That said I do recall liking some of the matches from then on more than around half of what was listed. I particularly remember Henry vs. Orton being pretty good. I agree with you about the Hell in a Cell and it's own PPV. Haven't watched them all since the first Hell in a Cell PPV in 2009, the one I liked was The Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXVIII. I also greatly prefer the old Hell in a Cell to the new one introduced in 2006.
  2. Sad news. R.I.P. Marcia Wallace.
  3. I also preferred the Battleground tag.
  4. I'll just do a top five: 1. Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker 2. Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker 3. The Undertaker vs. Mankind 4. Batista vs. Triple H 5. Triple H vs. Cactus Jack. Batista vs. The Undertaker just misses out. In that wwe list, certainly replace Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels with Batista vs. The Undertaker. Summerslam 2000 was the first TLC match WM X-7 was the second I always preferred the TLC match at SummerSlam 2000 to TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven. John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane vs. Mike Knox at No Way Out 2009 gets my vote. It's the match when Edge attacks Kofi Kingston to get his spot, Rey Mysterio has an amazing performance, Kane laughs when Mysterio runs head first into his pod, John Cena as defending World Heavyweight Champion gets eliminated quickly and the finishing stretch between Edge/Mysterio/Jericho. For years, the first Money in the Bank match was the best but it got replaced by the Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder match between Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Kane, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Sin Cara at the 2011 Money in the Bank PPV.
  5. Ideally it would be great if DC/WB and Marvel could do both films and TV/animation well. My second preference is what's happening, DC are terrific when it comes to animation compared to Marvel while Marvel with Marvel Studios are better at getting more of their heroes films and have more consistency to DC's outside of Batman. I don't think Marvel Studios has done a bad film. Marvel Studios hasn't yet had a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. I like more Marvel superheroes compared to DC. However DC has THE greatest hero, Batman. I'd like both DC and Marvel films to do well particulary when they have a film or films which deserve to. Iron Man and Avengers Assemble are two of the best comic book films of all time but give me Batman Begins and The Dark Knight over both. The Dark Knight is the best live action comic book film followed by Batman Begins.
  6. S.O.S for Big Fresh! This game has some of my favourite achievements for a game by name and what you have to do to get them *spoilers*: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/lego-marvel-super-heroes/achievements/ Sucks this doesn't come out in the UK till November.
  7. I agree with this. Zuffa has embraced a "quantity over quality" policy with their product and it is actually hurting it a lot now. You know something is wrong when I'm don't recognize 5-6 guys on a card. I'm with both of you and WholeFnMachine.
  8. In all honesty this game does feel like one big cheap cash-in from WB. Don't get me wrong, it does have it's highlights and isn't all that bad, but doesn't capture the essence of the previous two games.I'd say a 7 is about right. Not bad, not great either. I thought it might feel like that. Thanks for your thoughts on the game.
  9. Batman: Arkham Origins gets a 7.8 from IGN and a 6 from GameSpot. I was sure it wouldn't be reviewed as well as Arkham Asylum and Arkham City but I'm surprised at those scores. GameCentral haven't had a review copy.
  10. I already checked a few out, I honestly don't even play these games for the story so I don't mind the spoilers. To me one of the biggest selling point is (minor spoilers just to be sure): I like that and meeting either series regulars or new people for the first time.
  11. The opening set piece, followed by the ticket booth guy hitting that deadpan "NO!" is one of the biggest laugh out loud moments I've ever had. To the point I had to pause the movie and take a minute to collect myself. The whole film is great. Blame Canada is the highlight.
  12. I'll check that out, first I've heard about it. Cheers!
  13. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the comic book film of 2014 I'm most looking forward to ever since it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2012. Happy to see the traditional suit is more like the one in Captain America: The First Avenger instead of the Cap suit in Avengers Assemble which I also liked. Like the Super-Soldier suit since it was first shown.
  14. Cheers! Hope you like it : ). I did. I was lucky enough to have been born in '67 , so that when I was in my prime comic reading mode, it was in the era of giant-sized and treasury editions, so that while I take Batman to heart, I'm not locked into a single interpretation like I am regarding Peter Parker, for example. For me, Batman is a very wide canvas, open to a lot of great storytelling and this version fulfilled that promise. Having said that, a lot of great 90's films didn't get my vote, and I doubt this would have supplanted any of them. But, for me, this is all about new discoveries, and your hard pimping has led me to a new one. THANKS!!!! You're welcome and well said about Batman open to different interpretations. Hope all is well, Natural! Thanks, mate. Chances are my Mum will be going back into hospital sadly : (.
  15. On a first watch while tired, I'd have it: 1. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada, Invasion Attack 2013. 2. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Dominion 2012. 3. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, King of Pro-Wrestling 2013. 4. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada, The New Beginning 2012. 5. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, G1 Climax 23, Day Eight. 6. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada, Wrestle Kingdom 7. I gave the Invasion Attack 2013 and Dominion 2012 matches *****. Another day I might switch #3-5 around. Again having only watched their latest match, I don't think I would give this one the full five.
  16. The Black Mirror is easily Scott Snyder's best Batman work. I really liked Gates of Gotham, most of Court of the Owls/Night of the Owls, also liked Death of the Family but think it's overrated. Only read the first two issues from Zero Year so far and they are 2/2 in quality.
