  1. He isn't healthy right now. I do find it funny as hell though that SMU with Larry Brown is being investigated by the NCAA for bringing the Carolina way of academics to a school that isn't Carolina.
  2. Cesaro to me is going to end up this-gen's Greg Valentine. Guy who just beats you up and has good matches, is credible against anyone but never near the top of the card due to perceived limitations.
  3. Danny Hodge perhaps if you want to go really old school?
  4. One loss to a solid side playing out of their minds isn't struggling.
  5. Seth will end up cheered in that triple threat, sure of it.
  6. I still remember that goofy Hogan cross arm-breaker he pulled against Bret once on Nitro.
  7. I often wonder if the fans would be shitting on Roman so much if he was the guy who sold out instead of Rollins.
  8. I think I made it through RAW once in the past two to three months. This company is doing nothing to convince me to keep watching it. They have until WM to convince me. I would have enjoyed a three hour Hogan-Beefcake match more than what I got last night.
  9. I don't see to see Barrett bulk up too much- rather see a skinnier Barrett who is less likely to hurt himself. Barrett can get by punching people in the mouth, he doesn't need to do too many power moves.
  10. The way I understood the stip HHH lost all executive power and couldn't make any decisions to influence talent. However, the way I understood it, and what I expected, was that there was no rule that he couldn't become talent. I would have had HHH as a surprise #30 in the Rumble, with the explanation given the next night, with him getting Eliminated by Bryan but coming back in and sledging Cena leading to his elimination. HHH then says his goal is to make sure Cena never breaks Flair's record- by getting the title himself and screwing Cena every chance he gets unless he brings him back to power, in which case he'll give him every opportunity at it.
  11. I kinda would see/write Seth as a guy who really emulates HHH, up to trying to be an evil mastermind, when he just doesn't have the chops for it, so he ends up kinda a cartoon villain, yet he can still kill you in the ring.
  12. It was one of the few credible ways they could have had Cena bring them back without him turning heel, but the whole thing people wanted out of that was a heel turn. Instead, Cena continues the 94 Hogan path. They should just give him a Thunder in Paradise gimmick and give Hornswaggle an eyepatch.
  13. Are you saying they didn't? The fans completely ruined a PPV and destroyed the WWE's Wrestlemania plans. I remember that serious people were implying POST-Rumble that Bryan not going over at the end would cause "ugly scenes". it's alarmist bullshit. If Bryan doesn't sufficiently go over, they'll just complain online and keep giving the WWE money. It's all bark, no bite. I think we've reached the point where the fans will stop complaining, and just stop being fans. I've even gotten the vibe from many of my long-time friends that it's just been too much now. A couple cancelled subs already, most are just reading recaps instead of watching RAW, and no one watches the B shows. It's the whole things never change that is turning people off the most.
  14. The way to set up Shield TT for the title is Ambrose wins Rumble. Reigns wins in a multiman at OTL. Rollins cashes in before the event to make it a TT. Cena gets shunted down the card temporarily, maybe feed him Rusev- or do a tag Cena/Sting vs HHH/Lesnar where if Cena wins he has to bring Authority back. Orton vs Rusev Barrett vs Ziggler
  15. I'm fully expecting WMXXXI to be the last WWE I watch. Hoping I'm wrong, but I just don't see how they can deliver right now- and I'm enjoying the current stuff less than I did Dungeon of Doom-era stuff.
  16. Owens just needs to cross the moral event horizon somehow. No idea how.
  17. The problems with the Panthers are with the GM- they don't have the players they should. Not enough talent on that team- largely due to a bunch of bad salary cap decisions.
  18. Rivera is not on the hot seat at all, even with a loss today. Only year 2, and he had .500 talent at best this year, 7-8-1 or 6-9-1 isn't a disaster. Panthers FO is a mess, but even they're not dumb enough to fire a fairly popular coach in year 2.
  19. I thought someone already explained I am that bee that wouldn't defend the hive or some shit? Idk. I don't like honey. Besides me being annoyingly overrating-ish about Barrett, he does so many awesome things. He counters shit not with moves, but to punches to the face and kicks to the gut. His giggling schoolboy smile when he does something to get him booed. He will dropkick a jobber for the hell of it. Plus, he wears a goddamn cape. If that doesn't make him a top 5 worker, nothing will. Everyone talks about heatless people working in the 80's. Well, Barrett is working TODAY and would work anywhere there needs to be a guy willing to laugh at someone as they are unconscious. He'd be Bill Watts' dream come true as a worker tbh Barrett to me is one of those guys who was most hurt by WCW no longer being around. He works a very WCW-ish style, and you can tell he takes inspiration from certain folks like DDP and Foley. Also, competition made it harder to keep people down. He would have worn Big Gold at some point. I love the way Barrett chews scenery and is just so happy to be making folks miserable, yet he manages to avoid becoming "cool". Add in the fact he's just a great worker, minus the unneeded Cactus Jack elbow drop (he needs to drop that, love the shout-out but I want a healthy Barrett in 10 years). Barrett is going to go down to me as one of the top guys never to hold a World Title of this decade, and I think when fully healthy, he's a top 3 act in the company. The only guy I can clearly see as better is Rollins.
  20. The natural feud for Barrett is Ziggler because he never lost the belt. Just have Barrett run crap about ZIggler trying to be a great performer, while Barrett just wants to win.
  21. Yeah I was getting pissed during TLC when the announcers kept saying that Dolph said this would be his best match ever tonight. How about making winning your #1 goal, and if it happens in a one minute shitty match who cares you still won the belt. A good post-rumble Feud would be Barrett interrupting Ziggler saying how it's a disgrace for the IC champion to care only about performance and not wins, and that he intends to make the belt right again. Plus you have the whole "I never lost it" argument. Both these guys should be above the IC belt, but the IC belt means a lot more than it did a year ago, I'd say it's almost on par with Big Gold, it just needs the IC belt champ taking it hard to the world champ at some point to lock its new higher credibility.
  22. Or Lawler could be genuinely one of those folks who has something nice to say about everyone. Some folks just aren't mean-spirited.
  23. She was a pretty good valet/manager (Rock n Rave), that puts her above 80% of the women the WWE has signed since Trish.
