  1. If you're a fan of the Rocky movies it's worth a watch.
  2. Chris Rock didn't slap anyone, if Smith was going to give payback it should have been verbal, he could have gone just as low with Rock's personal life stuff like cheating on his wife and porn addiction, or he could have mocked Rock's film career. This is Monday morning qb stuff, but if I was in Smith's shoes I would have been on my phone looking up all the dirt I could find on Rock, along with scanning his IMDB and then just unload on him after winning the Oscar.
  3. I enjoyed the re-cut of Rocky IV, of the "directors re-cutting their movie years later" list this was the best.
  4. The 50th Anniversary tribute to The Godfather was really weak.
  5. This In Memoriam is pretty bad, how hard is it to just play some sad music and show clips of the deceased.
  6. I’m assuming that the NCAA thinks Duke has better chance at beating Arkansas on Saturday, the Zags are getting hosed big time.
  7. Maybe Vince didn't want to break kayfabe since Ken Patera "broke" Sullivan's neck in 1977.
  8. As a Steeler fan I'd rather kick the tires on Trubisky this season, Mayfield wouldn't throw to the best receiver on his team and has a bum shoulder, why would any team trade for him.
  9. Is it wrong that I want this dude to fail purely based on what a horrible coach his father was?
  10. That was somewhat common in boxing back in the day, I think Apollo Creed and his corner did it in Rocky II.
  11. Good thing that Jesse didn't know that Vader never played a down that season.
  12. I remember years ago Beano Cook talking about proposed college OT formats and one of them was a first to 8. Never heard that format ever brought up again, I'm assuming the biggest issue is that it could drag on for awhile.
  13. Since this series seems like it's only going to cover the 1980 NBA season, they could easily jump ahead to 1984 for season 2 and 1985 for season 3.
  14. As a Steeler fan I'm fine with this, there's no way Kenny Pickett falls to the 20th pick and the Stillers aren't in the position to give up draft picks this year or next year. Also, did people think the Steelers would go after Watson?
  15. But that defense went to another level after Turkey Jones assaulted Bradshaw in Cleveland, various members of that D have said everyone was hung over, still partying, or content after back to back championships and Jones trying to break Bradshaw’s neck sent them to beast mode.
  16. Same with the Brewers in the NL.
  17. Michael Shannon was the original choice and there's no way he could have pulled it off.
  18. I'll co-sign on Winning Time being really good, John C. Reilly was the perfect choice for Jerry Buss and Jason Clarke stole the first episode as Jerry West. I watched a few episodes of Joe vs. Carole and it's decent but looks so cheap, the CGI animals look like something from 10 years ago and it was shot in Australia so it has a weird look. John Cameron Mitchell and Kate McKinnon do the best they can as the title characters, they're in a tough spot since both Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin are such bizarre human beings. Kyle MacLachlan is amazing as Howard Baskin, if it was just a show about Howard Baskin I would have binged the entire series.
  19. I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan but when I saw that this movie was a "tribute to The New Yorker" I knew it wouldn't be my cup of tea. The only segment I even kind of enjoyed was the last one and that was purely due to Jeffery Wright's narration, the middle one with Frances McDormand and Timothée Chalamet was really bad and seemed like a parody of Wes Anderson flicks.
  20. Pickett supposedly has double jointed thumbs which isn't taken into account in the measurement.
  21. I think he’s just on autopilot, dude makes over $15 million a year and only works every other Thursday.
  22. I don't think she ever heard that saying before, but she should have known better on her first guess since there were two H's up on the board.
  23. Saw that this song was being played all over Ukraine and it’s been stuck in my head ever since.
  24. As far back as I can remember almost everyone in Pittsburgh turned down the sound on the tv and listened to the Stillers announcers on WTAE or WDVE. We moved from Pittsburgh to Detroit before the 1988 season and were out of WTAE's radio range(still got the Bucco's & Pens on KDKA at night) so we were forced to listen to Bob Trumpy, Paul McGuire, Sam Wyche, and in rare occasions John Madden openly root against the Steelers, I went back and watch some old games on YouTube and it's insane how hostile Bob Trumpy was towards the Steelers.
