Just attempting to have fun in this cruel cruel world. - Kingston should have feuded with Claudio instead of or at least before the Jericho feud. After the Blood & Guts they were both hot and had a built in feud. - Young Bucks vs FTR III should have been when all of the had belts. The Acclaimed were hot, but so was that story and the right time for it. Say Bucks win or whatever because of the politics of different companies belts (or was it reversed?). Just have Acclaimed beat the winners and scissor over their corpses. - Making Red Velvet a Baddie in an announcer explanation and not a story played out. I’m still bitter about this. Why the fuck am I watching and all of a sudden things are different and I’m being told about it after the fact. I hated how poorly WWE handled Naomi vs Mandy Rose. Fuck everything and everyone. - likewise, Hangman should have either had a better falling out with the Dark Order or not broken up when they did. Idk, dropped ball. All part of the weird post brawl out or whatever the drama was. - Figure out how to keep Regal. If he wanted to be with his family, offer to make him a new son. - it’s tough not really knowing all the drama or what was declined and offered BUT I wish Starks, Miro, and most importantly Punk worked out better. Khan doesn’t have Vince’s psycho ability to convince people to work against their best interest so this was all likely inevitable. - MJF’s injury angle before the Jay White match shouldn’t have happened. It was too silly and unneeded when they were already had a good feud going on. - a disciple of HBK should not have won the Owen. Even if you didn’t want to give it to Dax, anyone but Cole. I look at this title reign and opportunities the same as I look at Kawada not/finally pinning Misawa. If Kawada beat Misawa in 94 and Danielson won the title in 21/22 then my favorite moments in wrestling potentially wouldn’t have mattered as much - June 95 tag and recent All In main event. I like what ifs but these ones effect my current timeline enjoyments too much. Could have still lead to a good future though.

Still think not doing a Jungle Express zany cartoon when they were a team (and Pentagon’s head as a mug) was a mistake AEW will never recover from.

Totally get the different strokes, don’t expect or think everyone should like the same things. I’m thinking the first two years had both dream matches and also story building tv matches. To me, it wasn’t all one or all the other. And the mix is what I want. I do understand the potential wincing at the Danielson talk when people are quick to call him GOAT and when you don’t look at him (or Citizen Kane or the Beatles or whatever parallel we hear in other topics) as such. It’s easy and in my opinion good to push back to create a more in-depth conversation. I respectfully think “huge swings and misses” is an overstatement. If you truly believe that, then that’s completely fair and a properly not at all overstatement lol. The lists I laid out is my thoughts on why I disagree with that and outside of a complete overhaul of fantasy storylines and title changes, I don’t see how it could have been head and shoulders better than what we got. Granted, I am saying that as a fan of the guy. This reminds me of how I can find Zoe Deschanel annoying at times. I know she’s funny and her shows great, but idk it doesn’t always click with me. I said that in 2012ish and it lead to an outnumbered debate where I couldn’t say anything outside of “idk, it’s just how I feel” lol. So I’m totally cool if either he isn’t your cup of tea or the run itself. I’m just enjoying talking with you and don’t take this as anything confrontational or serious. Also, if you can, have a little empathy for us super American Dragon fans. We’re seeing our favorite ride off into the sunset. Thankfully on his own terms (even though he was limping) when everything after his return from forced retirement has been like this miracle baby boy for us. A lot of emotions. Especially the All In win making me legit tear up and the recent Nigel match having me smile so wide the entire time. It was something magical for us. The Punk return had a sour taste from the drama sadly, but the good moments were truly spectacular. Dragon had less drama, but a few injuries. Even with that, I can confidently say this was my favorite time watching professional wrestling largely because of Danielson. But maybe also because I could share it with you guys.

2021 had Omega, Suzuki, Kingston, Dustin, and Hangman. The Miro match was eh and a lot of tv matches with younger workers like Alan Angles who stated it was a highlight of their career we at least fun beatings to build a feud. I loved watching Evil UNO’s body fold after getting kicked in the chest. 2022 had Hangman, Mox, Garcia, and anarchy in the arena. I can see people not liking BCC vs JAS but I found it to be fun AEW wrestling vs sports entertainment. With the AEW roster they had in 2021 and 2022, what would you have done differently?

I just went through all the AEW World title matches on Cagematch for fun. I might be super in the minority but this Danielson run is something I’m very high on. Had a defining and consistent story and character throughout. References and matches with the future, present, and past. It had what will likely be some of my all time favorite moments (All In win, bag over head, and the Nigel match). Also, it set the big story up for the next chapter of AEW. This was more than the restoring moral reigns of Mox and Joe. And even though specific moments I would have wished differently, it was much more consisten in story and didn’t over stay it’s welcome than MJF. Hangman’s was underrated but people say it failed to capture the excitement post-build whereas this created stories. Maybe I’ll do a cute reign ranking and be cute later. With how much pain it sounds like Danielson was in, being able to ride all this out is very impressive.

I like Mox, but he’s super unorthodox in how he moves and has a swagger to him that is pretty defining. I really enjoy him but I can see why people are put off by him. All is fair in love and internet wrestling forums.

Only watched the main. I’ll try and go back for hyped matches when I have time. I loved it. The match made sense. Mox was a bully attacking early and the entire match he was targeting the neck. Danielson was pumping the crowd up like Daniel Bryan. Shafir played her roll perfectly. It was a fun match and a great ending note to what was a short but personally emotionally noteworthy title run. With the idea that Danielson likely really needs surgery, I like this outcome the most, even if I would have fantasy done something different. Darby will overcome the Mox monster and the Pacpool Combat Club at Quake by the Lake 2. I like Mox, so as people that don’t I totally understand not being pro this move. I thought it was the right move. Doesn’t mean they won’t screw up the future moves though lol If Darby beat a broken Danielson it wouldn’t have meant as much than if Danielson’s gimmick wasn’t legend on his last legs that has the heart to fight through. Plus, the amount of crazy dives that Danielson would super sell would have given us heart attacks and ruin the match for half of you. Darby beating Mox while both are bloody will win over even the Mox-haters. Especially after overcoming a character defining setback of losing the title contender-ship.
